According to Roger Cicala and Aaron Closz of Lens rentals, Some serious sensor defect present in few models of Canon T6s and T6i, if you look at the sensor image (below) captured from a 10X microscope lens the you will see many tiny dots present in the surface of the sensor… it’s look like some dust of or other particles stuck in between the top layer of sensor glass and sensor.
The bottom line is that 4 of the Canon T6s and 2 of the T6i cameras we received had to be sent back because of a defect in the sensor stack (the layers of filter glass over the sensor). This is out about 10 copies of each; the others were absolutely perfect.
The affected cameras all had a dramatic pattern that at first we thought was oil or dust on top of the sensor glass.

The image is posted by Canon Austria’s Facebook page yesterday and is now trending over the web, the DSLR appeared in the image is completely new, since the design doesn’t seem to match the rear-side of any current Canon EOS DSLR, first take a look at the zoomed and cropped version of the DSLR below..
Carefully look at the sliding Lock switch, click wheel and the shape of the buttons …. and compare the image with the images of the current Canon 70D, 700D / T5i and 7D Mark II back images below…it doesn’t matches with any of them.
We hope that its a upcoming Canon 80D DSLR, since the lock switch below menu dial and vari-angle display resembles with Canon 70D DSLR. But if we look at the due date Canon 750D is also expected to arrive anytime soon.

Good news: According to latest rumors surfaced from northlight (NL), The Canon upcoming Canon Rebel T6i / 750D will feature EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) and Sensor same as of Canon 70D (20.2MP APS-C CMOS) and advance DIGIC 6 image processor.
The Rumor look bit true – Yes its is possible and Canon will use Canon 70D sensor and DIGIC 6 to upgrade the image quality and AF system of the Rebel Line, but I don’t see any logical reason to drop a optical viewfinder from DSLR, It is possible that Canon may use Hybrid Viewfinder… Stay with us for more updates.

According to latest rumor surfaced over the web Canon 7D Mark II announcement is delayed to Q3 of 2014 due to manufacturing issues, Canon is rumored to be exploring a number of possible enhancements to the upcoming Canon 7D Mark II, including a completely new designed Dual-pixel AF CMOS sensor (faster than Canon 70D PDAF Sensor) and may be a new image processor too, Canon is also looking for sufficient volume of sensor chips available at suitable price/performance points, it may be a stretch for the company to fit all class leading features in upcoming 7D Mark II DSLR.
As we have said Canon will put 70D PDAF sensor in upcoming Canon 750D DSLR, Canon 150D is also coming but we don’t have any information about the specification yet.
According to the source “Canon DSLR announcement delayed due to technical issue….” information was passed along to several larger (European) dealers querying Canon DSLR camera availability for later this year, especially the holiday season. All three cameras were loosely slated for Q2 release, but are now Q3.
Canon finally have very less time in hand since Nikon D300s successor (Nikon D9300) is rumored to be announced in upcoming months and A77 Mark II is possibly coming on last week of May, 2014.
