Confirmed - Nikon Working on APS-C Mirrorless Camera

We can now say that Nikon seriously working on a APS-C Mirrorless camera according to a patent document surfaced over the web by a Japanese website egami.

Take a look at the patent details below, the patent is filed for a new 18-55mm f/3.5-4.5 lens designed for APS-C based mirrorless cameras:

Panasonic GM7 Coming in Q1-Q2 of 2016

Panasonic-GM2-image According to the latest rumors floating over the web via 43R.com the next FT camera will be Panasonic GM7. The upcoming Panasonic GM7 camera will be a successor of Panasonic GM5 camera that was announced on 2014. The GM7 is expected to arrive in March, April 2016.

Now let’s talk about the possibilities – As we know that only few months ago the Panasonic G7 camera that features very advance core specification for entry level users and also has a option to record 4K videos.

Fujifilm X-Pro2 Coming in 2016 and Fuji Fullframe Mirrorless...

Early we already published a post related to the announcement of the upcoming Fujifilm X-Pro2. Less than a week ago, we also came with the confirmation of the announcement of X-Pro2via leaked document via Chinese government website.

Now according to the latest information via Photography Bay source, there is lots of expectation that Fujifilm is taking keen interest in the announcement of its most waited as well as most wanted Fujifilm X-Pro2 and hence in this regard, if all things will go smoothly than we will definitely see the entrance of Fujifilm X-Pro2 at CES 2016.

We hope X-Pro2 will come with more advanced features compare to X-T1 and it will be available in February, 2016.

Earlier in an interview Fuji managers denied the possibility of fullframe camera from Fuji, however according to latest rumor Fuji may announce fullframe sensor based mirrorless system in near future (not before 2016)

But we have to also believe that every camera companies constantly changing its strategy to gain market share and full-fill customer demands.

Before we begin I must say you it’s not a rumor, the news is coming from a article published over a Korean website that Samsung may shut down their camera business according to a “industry insider”, according to him after Samsung NX500 announcement Samsung doesn’t announced any new products and also shattered all marketing activities.

The camera division of Samsung is facing loss from past one year after they have started NX product line.

Sony Confirmed - New Lenses Coming Soon

In an interview published at amateurphotographer Yoshiyuki Nogami, senior GM of the marketing division at Sony’s Digital Imaging Business Group, said: ‘Lens line-up expansion is very important and it is a must for Sony to do so.’

However later he clarified that Last year in an interview, Sony said it planned to expand the FE lens line-up to 20 in 2016.

If we look at the Sony lens line-up than they need to announce 10 more lenses to complete the count upto 20.

However according to the latest rumors floating over the web Sony is rumored to announce 8 new FE Lenses til Spring 2016!

Sensor: Since both the siblings have 12.2MP Full-Frame Exmor CMOS Sensor and BIONZ X Image Processor. Due to their presence, it minimizes the noise production and also enables sensitivity from ISO 100-102400, which is further expandable to ISO 50-409600. The Sony didn’t increase the ISO range of Sony A7SII. Our earlier expectation was that it will come with more ISO range than its predecessor, to make the image sensor more sensitive to light.

Auto-focus: Sony A7S II features fast and Intelligent AF system employs 169 AF points, the AF points are composed of 25 contrast-detection points and nine central AF points that have been split into 16 segments each, the AF system not only faster than of Sony A7s but it also features greater accuracy.

Sony A7S II supports Internal UHD 4K Recording, which the Sony A7S II was missing. The video of Sony A7S II contain more details, better color, contrast and sharpness compared to the Sony A7S. The Sony A7S II is free from line skipping or pixel binning, the A7S II features full pixel readout the terminates the issue loss of details, advance AF detection algorithm speed-up the AF speed of the camera 2 times more compared to its predecessor.

Sony A7SII can record 120fps at 100Mbps without pixel binning in full frame format also results in 4x/5x slow motion footage in Full HD. It has the ability to shoot 4x/5x slow motion footage internally.

Introduction of image stabilization: presence of 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization system in Sony A7SII makes it smooth shooting of stills and video by reducing five types of camera shake and it also it will give the option to the users to use any lens, or adapted lenses without facing any problems created by camera shake. But there is absent of such type of stabilization system in Sony A7S.

Rest of the core specification remains same.

Verdict: The Sony A7S II camera does have many upgrades over the Sony A7S camera but the sensor and image processor remains same. Finally the image quality of both the camera will be similar. For still shooters and owners of Sony A7S camera we don’t recommend to update you current camera against A7S II and you must wait for a better model, possibly the Sony A7S III with a new sensor and image processor.

The biggest disappointment is the use of same sensor instead of developing a new one, Sony does have the capability to make Hybrid sensor as we already see in Sony A7R II camera. It’s better to say Sony updated the Sony A7S Camera, it’s not a new version
