How good is the new lens? does Sony also improve the autofocusing to not? Does the lens does fast AF while shooting in MAX or MIN aperture.. let’s find out all the answers in the test videos below.
The test is done by the asobinet.com website, The Lens is available for pre-order at B&H Photo Sales will start from June 2022 worldwide.
Findings from the test (Translated)
It uses an XD linear motor and a floating focus structure.
The focus drive has been switched from the previous model, but there is no big difference in the focus speed. The GM2 is a little faster at AF-C, but this is also a difference that you can’t tell unless you compare the shots in the same environment.
Manual focus operates with a linear response. The operability is easy to use even for video-oriented users.
The shortest shooting distance is 0.21m / 0.30m, and the maximum shooting magnification is 0.32x, which is very good.
When I first heard this news, I thought Fuji is now into the rebranding of sigma lenses. ? But, after looking at the core specification of the Fuji Lens, lens design and aperture range its looks like it’s a Fuji creation.
A F8 Lens at 600mm ? – Fujinon XF150-600mm f/5.6-8
F8 at 600mm? who will use the fuji teleconverters with the Lens then? Btw, if the aperture range of the upcoming lens is correct then it makes a large space for Fuji own 150-600 Contemporary and sports lens with f/5-6.aperture range.
Details from Fuji Lens development press release issued on sep, 2 2021 It is a super-telephoto zoom lens with a focal length that covers 150-600mm (35mm equivalent: 229-914mm equivalent), which is the longest in the history of the “X series”. Taking advantage of the focal length from telephoto to super-telephoto, it is ideal for shooting distant athletes and wild animals. In addition, the compact design that maximizes the advantages of the “X-mount system” provides high mobility such as comfortable handheld shooting.
According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web, Canon is preparing to announce a new range of APS-C Mirrorless camera systems with RF Mount (to regain the concept of the 1 Mount ) and the APS-C lenses will arrive under the RF-S Mount brand bane.
1. Canon R7 and RF-S Mount Lens
According to the latest rumors coming out from the rumor mill, the Canon R7 camera is coming this year along with new RF-S Mount lenses. At this time no detailed information is available but RF-S 18-45mm F4-5.6 lens could be Canon one of the first RF-S Mount Lenses made for Canon APS-C Cameras.
The biggest problem right now is the lens compatibility between the E-FM mount and RF mount. Due to the Flange distance issue, none of the systems are compatible with each other even with the help of adaptors.
2. What will happen to the EF-M mount then?
But even if the rumor is true then what will happen to the existing canon APS-C Mirrorless camera lineup the E-FM mount?
As we all know canon lost its versatility with the announcement of Canon RF Mount Mirrorless cameras, to-regain the concept of 1-Mount they have to announce an RF Mount base APS-C-based Mirrorless camera system.
So possibly after the cannibalization of Canon DSLR or EF / EF-S Mount, the next cannibalization will be done with EF-M Mount.

According to the latest rumors that surfaced over the web, the upcoming Fuji X-H2s Camera will be using a 26MP Stacked CMOS Sensor. So, finally, we have an upgrade from fuji’s old BSI CMOS sensor to the stacked CMOS sensor.
The upcoming sensor is the Fuji Fith Generation X-Trans CMOS sensor, Stacked sensors are capable of processing light with blazing fast speed. Fuji X-H2s is a video-centered camera, so we will only notice video-centered improvement this time.
Fuji X-H2 – 40 MP High-Resolution Sony Made Sensor (Sony’s IMX671AQR or maybe a variant of the same)
The Sony 43 MP IMX671AQR is a sensor with DRAM Chip / Stacked CMOS Sensor. So, if the same sensor is being used by fuji both X-H2 series cameras will arrive this year with a Stacked CMOS Sensor.
Fuji X-H2 camera will have 8k video recording capability and the X-H2S will remain limited to 4K video recording capability with enhanced low-light performance.
