Canon is about to announce two new cameras in 2026, and now it has been confirmed with the latest registration of another entry-level model. The model code is DS126973 (registered June 2, 2026) and the earlier DS126947.
Based on the initial investigation of both registered cameras, we have found that both of them are entry-level models, and why we are saying so we are going to explain in the later part of the article. For that reason, it seems that Canon is about to refresh one of the APS-C models, and the most probable model that fits the registration details that have surfaced recently is the Canon R10 Mark II, since it has been super delayed. At the very same time, it is one of the best entry-level APS-C models for beginners and semi-professional users.
The other model that we are expecting from this registration is the possible introduction of the Canon R50 Mark II. Still, we know that the Canon R50 is a newer entry and only two years old compared to the Canon R10 camera, and we also have one variant of the camera, the R50 V. Hence, the possibility of the arrival of the R50 Mark II is less compared to the R10 Mark II.
And why we are not talking about the Canon R7 Mark II camera model, which all other dreamers are screaming about, is due to the fact that the Wi-Fi camera modules that have been used in both of the cameras belong to the entry-level group of cameras.
