Canon patent shows they are planning to add two sensors in once camera. And, its not a mirrorless they will keep the mirror inside the camera to reflect some portion of light to secondary sensor. The main intention of the entire setup to maximize the image quality.

The first image sensor 104 and the second image sensor 105 receive the first light beam and the second light beam, respectively. The first image sensor 104 and the second image sensor 105 are constituted by a CCD image sensor, a CMOS image sensor, or the like. The first image sensor 104 and the second image sensor 105 have an image pickup pixel and a focus detection pixel for autofocus using a phase difference detection method. The MPU 106 includes a CPU and a memory that stores a program executed by the CPU, and functions as a control unit that controls the overall operation of the camera body 101. Further, the MPU 106 controls the driving of the photographing lens 102b via the lens driving motor 108.

We have told you back on Sep 2018 (see here). Finally we have some confirmation from japanese trusted sources that Canon next announcement is Canon EOS Ra camera. Canon EOS Ra is a astrophotography camera using same sensor as we have seen in the Canon EOS R.

On the day of Canon 1DX Mark III camera development announcement, Canon representatives also confirmed that they are working on Canon next Pro FF Mirrorless camera and the upcoming camera will feature in-built body image stabilization and will also carry Dual card slot.

“There’s a high-end EOS R in consideration,” said Canon UK’s product intelligence consultant, David Parry. “So we are considering bringing a high end EOS R to the market. “If we do, it will have dual card slots, it will be that sort of level, and under development is in-body image stabilization. It’s early days and very little is known about the new EOS R camera Canon will make, but in a recent meeting with Canon we were told that the company is looking into developing in-body stabilisation for its next EOS R model. Canon finally did the development announcement of the Canon 1DX Mark III camera. Canon said “most video-capable EOS camera they’ve yet released” . Based on the initial set of details we came to know that the camera able to capture 10-bit, 4:2:2 video footage at up to 4K/60p. They’ve also built in a C-Log profile, to enhance users’ ability to grade the video files in post.

Tamron officially announced three new Prime lenses and a new 70-180mm F2.8 zoom lens for Sony FF Mirrorless camera. The pricing and exact availability information of the zoom lens isn’t known yet.
