Sony a9 III camera sensor test score published by DXOMARK lab. The test score, which we were actually waiting for, is finally here. As we all know, due to the introduction of the global shutter sensor, the image quality of the camera has been compromised, specifically in the dynamic range as well as the low-light performance of the camera. It has limitations to some extent, and it also affects, in a way, the color reproduction of the camera. So, where does it stand against its competitors? Let’s find out in the test table below.

Conclusion for the Sony a9 III:
- Optimized for Action and Sports Photography:
The camera is built for sports shooters, for the first time we have a camera that EXHIBIT 0 ROLLING Shutter issues in any of the frame rates users opts, so we have to appreciate the effort done by Sony to create this machine. Although the approach of the camera is limited.
- Compromises in Image Quality:

- Good High ISO Performance:
Af detailed test, the DR range is maximum affected up to ISO 800, after that as the ISO climbs up the DR gets similar to other cameras and offers competitive high ISO performance, suitable for fast-paced, low-light scenarios.
- Focus on Speed and Responsiveness:
The emphasis on readout speed makes the a9 III perfect for capturing high-speed events where image quality can be slightly secondary.
- Not Ideal for Landscape or Studio Work:
Due to its lower dynamic range at the base ISO , it may not be the best choice for LANDSCAPE SHOOTERS who require maximum image quality, such as landscape or studio shooters.

Fuji FIRST Cinema Camera A Closer Look, Fuji finally showcased the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA, a camera for professional cinematography and short film makers production, the camera is being displayed at the Fujifilm booth (booth number 7204) and INTER BEE CINEMA (Hall 3) on the first day of Inter BEE 2024 (Japan). The Fuji Cinema camera uses the 102MP GFX CMOS II HS sensor, previously seen in the GFX 100S II and GFX 100. With this sensor, the new cinema camera is able to produce oversampled 4K, 6K, and 8K recordings that will capture stunning detail, ideal for high-end productions. The sensor also supports Multi-Aspect ratio recording, so for professionals it will become super easy to select their recording style in a single click with the best sensor available in the industry.
A G-to-PL mount adapter is also in development, opening compatibility with PL-mount lenses—the industry standard for cinema work.
A new series of power zoom GF lens coming, and one of them is the 32-90mm focal length lens, dedicated to the GFX mount, which should offer filmmakers flexibility across wide to mid-telephoto ranges and offers fulltime AF support as well as optical image stabilization. A perfect camera for single-handed shooting.
Release Date: Set to launch sometime in 2025, this camera represents Fujifilm’s dedication to evolving video production tools for professional filmmakers.

Let’s talk about what we know so far regarding the Sony A7V camera, We were expecting its arrival a bit early in November, but Sony disappointed us with the Announcement of the A1 Mk II. The Sony A7 V camera is overdue for an announcement, but despite that you have to wait a few months more, it looks like Sony is updating their cameras strictly according to their update schedule.
If they strictly follow their schedule, the next announcement from Sony will most likely be a cinema camera, probably the Sony FX3 Mark II, or the Sony A7S IV camera.
But when will the Sony A7V camera arrive? According to the current rumors, the Sony A7V camera is expected to arrive on or before April 2025 (90% chance). However, if delayed, the announcement could be stretched to October 2025.
As for the core specifications I was expecting from the Sony A7V camera, the arrival of a 33-megapixel stacked sensor, the presence of an AI chip, and a new generation of the BIONZ X image processor. But, Recent rumors suggest that Sony is testing prototypes with the IMX366 sensor, which has a 44-megapixel resolution. The good thing about this sensor is that despite being a non-stacked sensor, the readout speed is very fast. The camera will be paired with Sony’s latest BIONZ X image processor and AI chip. Fujifilm is about to announce their new line of cinema cameras featuring the medium format sensor used in their GFX lineup. The upcoming camera will be called the GFX ETERNA Cinema camera.
