We are one of the first website who told you that TG-5 is coming from Olympus, we have also published the leaked images of the camera few days ago with specification few days ago.
Olympus announced latest TG5 camera and its a successor of its Ultra popularity TG4 rugged camera.
The camera features new 12 megapixel sensor earlier its predecessor was using 16 megapixel sensor. According to Olympus the resolution drop has improved the lower light sensitivity of the sensor dramatically. It will allow user to capture more details with colour and contrast in low light environment specially during underwater shoot.
The TG series always being one of the toughest camera of all time made for rough use. The camera is waterproof 15m/50ft, drop resistance upto 2.1m/7ft and crush proof upto 100kg/220kg. -14C/+14F.
What are the most important feature of this camera is it can record 4K videos @ 30 frames per second whereas it can also record full HD videos at 120 FPS per second.
The built-in Field Sensor System, consisting of a GPS sensor, manometer, compass and temperature sensor, records movement and environmental data independently or in conjunction with still images or videos.
The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-5 will be available in red and black beginning in June 2017 with an estimated street price of $449.99 USD and $579.99 CAD.

We have the images of Olympus TG 5 Rugged camera that is expected to announce soon. According to the leaked specification the upcoming camera features newly developed 12 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor that will going to capture more details and will give better low light performance compared to the older version of the camera.
The Olympus TG-4 (older version) camera was having a 16 megapixel sensor but the new sensor features with low resolution Of 12 megapixel will allow you to capture better low light images with extra bigger photo pixels inside the sensor.

Finally we came to know that the flagship Olympus camera Em1 Mark II uses Sony made IMX 270 sensor.
The most important thing about IMX 270 sensor used inside the Olympus E-M1 mark 2 camera features phase detect as well as contrast detect AF points. And it’s also known that till now no commercially available Sony 4/3rd format sensor features on hybrid autofocus points.
It’s a fact that, Sony doesn’t make hybrid sensors for 4/3rd camera commercially. Several Panasonic cameras sensors are made by Sony. Starting from Panasonic GX8 to GH5 sensor are made by Sony and features contrast based AF system.

It’s now almost confirmed that Olympus is going to announce Olympus E-M10 Mark III this Year. The Olympus E-M10 camera was announced on Jan 28, 2014 and after 1 year 6 month Olympus announced it’s successor . The Mark II version of the E-M10 was announced on Aug 25, 2015. And hence, Mark II camera is now approx 1 year and 7 month old and overdue for an update.

The features we can confirm at this moment is Introduction of 4K video in Olympus entry level mirrorless. Yes it is true that the Olympus E-M10 Mark III will going to have 4K video in it.
Sticking to 16 MP Sensor ?
we can’t comment on the type of sensor that E-M 10 Mark III will going to use. From past two generation both the camera is using same 16 megapixel micro four third Format sensor.

New digital camera registered by Olympus in Taiwan and its Code name is IM005. The registration date was of January 9 2017 and we my see a new camera announcement from Olympus in Q4 of this year.
Now if we look at the battery specification that is LI-92B, battery used inside compacts. Possibly Olympus is working on successor of the successor of Olympus stylus 1, TG-4 or may be SH3.

- Olympus 300mm F4
