Nikon today confirm that they will soon announce a new high-end camera. Take a look what Nobuyoshi Gokyu (Nikon Managing Executive Officer and Video Business Manager) said to DCWatch website

“Following the D7500 that we introduced the other day, we will introduce the second new product this year, so please expect it because we will introduce a model that you can fully convince pro and high amateur people”

Nikon clearly hinting us for next arrival of next professional model. As as we know that Nikon D850 is on horizon and expected to arrive in next few days. keep in mind that rumors Mills were speculating the announcement of Nikon D850 camera on July 25th 2017, but that doesn’t happen unfortunately.

Nikon Patent - 35mm FF Lens with Curve Sensor

A wired lens patent from Nikon surfaced over the web, we are saying wired since the lens us made for curve sensor. And if you look at the patent image the camera doesn’t have any mirror inside. So, the patent clearly shows us future Nikon Mirrorless camera with a curve sensor.

The patent doesn’t specify that camera is a Compact camera or a Mirrorless camera. Few weeks ago we have told you that Nikon is working on High-End Mirrorless camera and just after that Nikon also officially confirmed the same. It is also possible that Nikon may be working on a Sony RX1 series competitor ? since the lens attached with the camera is a 35mm F2 fixed lens.

Earlier we have received information that Nikon will going to expand the Nikon 1 series camera.

Nikon D5700 to Feature 4K ?

Nikon is working on a high-end mirrorless camera ? In an recent interview at Japanese news paper Nikon’s President Mr. Kazuo Ushida confirms that they will release a new mirrorless camera.

“Structural reform does not exclude all possibilities. In terms of product, you should also compete with medium and high-end SLR single lens reflexes. While targeting genre top, earn profits even if sales falls. According to latest rumors Nikon will going to announce Nikon D850 / 820 camera on July 25, 2017. We have told you earlier that Nikon is going to announce Nikon D820 / D850 camera in July month. The Nikon D810 successor rumored specification was also surfaced over the web a while ago.

On July 25 Nikon is also celebrating it’s 100th anniversary on July 25th and we are also expecting some major announcement from Nikon along with Nikon D810 successor announcement.

Nikon France Confirms they are Working on Next Gen of Compacts

While talking to “Chasseurs d’Images” French Mag Nikon France President confirms that Nikon is working on next generations of compacts to compete against smartphones.

Nikon did not stop producing the 810 camera

I feel the first point is bit doubtful since major retails outlets (B&H Store, Amazon.fr) listed S810c camera as no longer available
