Sony RX10 II Announced - Records UHD 4K video in XAVC S format

Sony-RX10-II-side-imageSony Announced its RX10 successor today, the camera comes with new 20.2 MP, 1″ Exmor RS BSI CMOS stacked CMOS image sensor with a DRAM chip, with the help of newly developed tech the camera can capture more sharp images with improved color and contrast ratio, when the DRAM chip is integrated into the Bionz X image processor the camera gets a boost in overall speed, now after the additon of the DRAM chip camera can now records UHD 4K video, fast readout speeds, burst shooting up to 14 fps, and a maximum physical shutter speed of 1/3200 sec and a maximum electronic shutter speed of 1/32000 sec.

The Sony RX10 II can records 4K videos up to five minutes with no line skipping or pixel binning and with minimal moiré or visual aliasing. The XAVC S format is utilized to maximize high-bitrate shooting up to 100 Mbps for professional-quality video, the camera can also record Super Slow Motion High Frame Rate movies at up to 40x slower than real time. These slow motion clips are recorded at 960 fps, 480 fps or 240 fps and can then be played back at 1920 x 1080, in either 60p, 30p or 24p. At resolutions below 4K, including Full HD 1920 x 1080p, movies up to 29 minutes in length can be saved.

Pricing and Availability
The new Sony Cyber-shot RX100 IV(model DSC-RX100M4) compact and RX10 II (model DSC-RX10M2) high-zoom camera will be available this July for about $1000 and $1300, respectively. Pre-sales for each model will begin on June 17th.

Sony RX100 IV Arrived with Stacked Sensor and 4K Video

Sony today updated the ultra popular RX100 series with RX100 IV camera, the camera features newly developed  stacked CMOS sensor with 20.2 MP resolution, the ISO ranges from 125-12800, the stacked sensor allows more light to get into the sensor resulting better low-light performance compared to its predecessor.

The Sony RX100 IV camera uses same 24-70mm lens with F1.8 aperture at wide-end and F2.8 aperture at tele-end, the new camera allows you to acquire continuous shooting speed of 16fps while maintaining the same resolution.

Introduction of electronic shutter in RX100 M IV, the RX100 IV camera uses mechanical shutter featuring a top shutter speed of 1/2,000 which is almost enough for all shooting condition, but wait an electronic shutter is also there to provide the ability to capture at 1/32,000 second.

Sony A7R II Announced - Features 40 MP FF Sensor, 5-axis IS and 4K Video

After so many A7R II rumors finally Sony announced the A7R II camera today, the camera feature BIG BUNCH of improvements over its predecessor,

4 Major improvements compared to its predecessor.

The sensor is completely new – The recently announced a camera feature newly develop HYBRID CMOS AF sensor that has built-in Phase AF points for faster AF.

Revised shutter mechanism – The upcoming camera features new Hybrid shutter mechanism, rated to 500,000 actuation and also promises less vibration compared to its predecessor.

5 Axis Image stabilization – The camera now gains 5-axis image stabilization system, this compensates for five types of camera shake encountered during handheld shooting of still images and video. The  system will compensate for approximately 4.5 stops of shutter speed.

4K Video – The camera can record 4K video in multiple formats including Super 35mm (without pixel binning) and full-frame format, a world’s first for digital cameras, The camera can capture 4k (UHD) video at 30p/25p or 24p in the XAVC S 4K format.
