DXOMark is really surprised to test out the new Canon R8 camera. The overall test of the Canon R8 camera looks similar to a 24 Full-frame BSI CMOS Sensor. Take a look what DXO Mark Said
Although neither ‘back-side-illuminated’ nor ‘stacked’ the 24.2 MP CMOS sensor in the Canon EOS R8 has similar performance characteristics to BSI sensors from rivals. As a result, it makes sense to compare it with the 24.2 MP BSI CMOS in the Nikon Z6 II even if that camera sits at a higher position in the market.
It’s really appreciable that the Canon R8 camera sensor FSI Sensor is performing so well in the lab test, now able to compete against BSI Sensors of the same range. Just imagine when will happen when Canon will bring out its BSI variant of their FSI Sensors. It will surely blow away the existing competition.
DXO Mark about Canon R8
The EOS R8’s 24.2MP sensor achieves a DXOMARK score of 93 in our tests.
It was ranked 10th overall and 3rd for Canon sensors.
It greatly exceeds the 85 points of the EOS RP and is better than the 1D X Mark III.
It is slightly lower than EOS R5/R3.
Dynamic range is what I’m most good at. Nearly 15 stops (14.7EV) at base sensitivity (ISO100). It is a peak value similar to the high-end EOS R5 and R3.
It also has good color depth and a low light score between the R5 and R3 cameras.
According the latest set of information we are having from a Japanese website (asobinet) , the stock supply pipelines of EOS R getting dry, resulting in low stock, end of the EOS R sale may be near. Although we have to wait to get final confirmation from Canon itself.

Youngnuo officially announced an 85mm lens for Canon RF Mount. The lens features STM AF motor and the lens also does AF very well. Now we all very well know Canon RF Mount is locked and Canon recently ditched Viltrox 85mm F1.8 AF Lens by sending some goof msgs to the Lens makers.
So, now we can have two types of situations here
Situation #1: Canon and viltrox are now in collaboration with each other, youngnuo paid the license fee. And now more youngnuo lenses for RF Mount are on they way.
Situation #2 : Youngnuo doesn’t care about Canon’s policy.
Youngnuo Smart Move can be followed by the Viltrox, provided nothing happens to it
In both of the situations we have discussed the second one is true, Youngnuo doesn’t care about Canon rules and regulations for RF Mount. At the same time to save themselves legally they are not using a single Canon word in their Lens announcement or packaging
compatible with other than Sony E / Leica L / Nikon Z”. It seems that sales in China have started at 2,599 yuan ($380).
As you can see clearly youngnuo is avoiding Canon’s name, and yes if they are not using it Canon has nothing much to do legally. But, yes they can block Lenses AF/AE operations via firmware updates in the future.

Stay tuned we will post all the updates related to the Sony ZV-E1 camera.
We have published several updates related to Panasonic’s Organic sensor development in the past, but now Panasonic today issued a new press release that reports Panasonic has made a groundbreaking development in organic CMOS image sensors. This new technology allows for accurate color reproduction by using the high light absorption rate of the organic film to thin the photoelectric conversion layer, which reduces color mixing.
The organic film used for photoelectric conversion is entirely separate from the circuit responsible for storing and reading electric charge. This unique layered structure reduces the sensitivity of each pixel in the green, red, and blue wavelength regions outside the target range, resulting in exceptional spectral characteristics with low color mixing. As a result, this technology can deliver precise color reproduction, regardless of the light source.
How this New Technology Works
Photoelectric conversion film thinning technology – The new organic thin film can absorb up to 10 times more light than traditional silicon photodiodes. This means the organic film can be made thinner and still absorb the same amount of light, which reduces color mixing from light hitting neighboring pixels at an angle.
Electrical pixel isolation technology – Helps to remove unwanted charges at the edges of pixels. This helps to suppress the signal charge from the neighboring pixels.
Light transmission suppression structure – To prevent light from passing through the photoelectric layer, the lower portion of the organic thin film has a pixel electrode and a charge-discharging electrode covering it. This helps to stop light that the organic thin film can’t absorb. Red light is especially prone to causing color mixing, but this method significantly reduces its transmission.
Panasonic’s organic CMOS sensor, whose progress is going in a slow speed, still waiting to get introduced commercially. With the technology developed this time, it is possible to achieve good color reproduction under all light sources, so if it is adopted for digital camera sensors (M4/3 / APS-C / FF), it seems that color reproduction under artificial light sources will be dramatically improved.
Sony ZV-E1 Price is said to be between $2000-$2500 [Body Only] – The information is coming out from a trusted source of the rumor mill, so now its almost confirmed that the upcoming ZV-E1 camera isn’t that cheap and we have to pay a good price for the body only. Now take a look at the set of full specification we have related to the upcoming Sony ZV-E1 camera

A new sensation, a super blurry image floating over the web, and said to be of an upcoming Sony ZV-E1 camera. (everything is so messy in this image, nothing is clear, and no part of the camera is clearly visible).
We will post more updates soon as they become available to us
