Fuji X-T30 Mark II Coming on September [Rumor]

According to the latest rumors via rumor mills, Fuji X-T30 mark II coming this year on 2nd, September 2021.  Fuji decided to keep the camera name Fuji X-T30 mark II and not Fuji X-T40. Maybe, just like Sony’s recent update patterns, Fuji will be doing the same. They will end up doing minor upgrades to the camera system.

We have one more possibility here, If Fuji X-S10 already reached the targeted sales record then we will some goodness from the X-S10 to Fuji X-T30. This includes the introduction of a Vari-angle screen and Sensor shift IBIS. But, at the same time as I have said earlier, the name X-T30 Mk II name doesn’t suggest a big change in core specs.

We will be posting more updates here.

Sony ZV-E10 vs Canon 200D Mark II

Let’s compare the Sony ZV-E10 camera with Canon 200D Mark II SL3. As we all know Canon SL3 or 200D Mark III is one of the most popular Canon vlogger-friendly cameras, but with a slightly high price is Sony ZV-E10 is better or not? let’s find out in the specification comparison review.

High ISO Test

At ISO 3200 Visible loss of details starts from Canon Sensor. At the same time, Sony was able to somehow maintain the details even at 3200 ISO, but even in that image, we can see some visible color fringing started on the edges of the circle lines.

AT 25600 ISO both images are completely unable but, we can clearly see here Canon 200D II or SL3 sensor not able to maintain details as of the SOny ZV-E10 camera.

So, to make the test more clear to our users we have selected RAW format at ISO 25600. You can clearly see the level of color noise is higher on Canon sensor and slightly well maintained on Sony Sensor.

Better Metering and Faster Shooting Speed in Sony

Metering range in low-light is better in Canon compared to the Sony ZV-E10 Camera, as well as you can see we are getting 11FPS of continuous shooting speed with AI/AF tracking. In Canon, the continuous shooting speed is limited to 4.5 FPS.

In Video Mode – Sony ZV-E10 is better

Video Auto Focus – Video Autuofus in Canon 200D Mark II / Sl3 is very good at Full HD mode, in 4k video mode the DPAF support drops and we get CDAF (contrast) based AF support. In Sony, we don’t have to face such an issue, the AF is available all the time despite the shooting mode you have selected either Full HD or 4k.

4k Crop in Canon – In Canon 200D Mark II / SL3 Camera we have to face 1.6x furthermore crop in 4K video mode and as I have also mentioned above the DPAF support also drops. It, clearly means that 4K video mode was built for the specification sheet and not for users.

Sony Rolling shutter problem in Video: While shooting  4K video with a faster shutter speed you might see some jello effect while moving your camera since the sensor is 5 years old and coming out from the A6100/ A6400 camera. So, you have to buy a variable ND filter if you want to shoot Broll in Sunlight.

Sony Dedicated Video mode for Vloggers: Sony introduced several vlogger-friendly shooting modes in their Sony ZV1 camera. The same was also implemented on the Sony ZV-E10 camera. Some of the most usable modes include product showcase mode, Bokeh mode and Face Exposure Priority mode.

Both 3.5mm microphone and headphone ports are also featured for more advanced audio recording, and the Multi Interface Shoe also benefits audio recording capabilities.

Full HD recording at 120p, no 120p mode in Canon.

The directional 3-capsule microphone that is specifically designed for forward-directional audio recording. Also, a dedicated wind screen for the built-in mic is included to help achieve cleaner audio when working outdoors.

Sony ZV-E10 Sensor HIGH ISO Test

After the announcement of the Sony ZV-E10 camera, I am getting lots of questions about the image quality of the ZV-E10. People are confused and some youtube gurus are recommending that Sony A6400 camera image quality is 1 or 2 stop better than ZV-E10. So, thankfully, dpreview team updated their High ISO test database and finally added the name of the Sony ZV-E10 camera to the list.

Let’s take a look at the test samples of the Sony ZV-E10 camera image file

Sony ZV-E10 @ ISO 25600

We have selected all the four popular Sony APS-C Mirrorless cameras in the test. As you can see, The Sony A6000 camera showing up a significant amount of noise in the image sample file compared to the other three cameras in the list we have.

Sony ZV-E10 @ ISO 51200

We have selected the 51200 ISO range for the other three-camera, as you know that the ISO range of the Sony A6000 camera is limited to 25600. All the other three cameras showing almost identical performance compared to each other. The amount of color noise and details we are having looks similar in all the three samples we have from Sony A6100 / Sony ZV-E10, Sony A6400, and Sony A6600.

Sony A6400 and A6600 @ 102400

We have upscaled the ISO values again, as you all know that the Sony ZV-E10 camera remains limited to 51200, but with Sony A6400 and Sony A6600 camera, we are able to boost up the ISO range up to 102400. But, as you will notice the Image quality of both the camera becomes highly unusable at 102400, and practically it make no sense for the camera maker to unlock the ISO 102400 when we have such a huge amount of color noise as well as loss of details. It also clearly indicated to us that the sensor of all four cameras Sony A6100, Sony ZV-E10, Sony A6400, and Sony A6600 are almost the same as each other.
