According to latest interview published at amateurphotographer.com Maki (Kimio Maki, senior general manager of Sony’s Digital Imaging Business Group) confirmed that Sony will continue to create new camera systems for A-mount.
When the interviewer asked questions about the shrinking camera market. In reply, Maki said that while the entry-level market is shrinking, areas such as professional and high-end hobbyist photography are growing. We are going to focus on high-end camera systems rather than entry models.’

There is no major issue, as we all know Canon all DSLR camera comes with built-in lens correction tool that corrects Peripheral illumination, Chromatic aberration and Diffraction once the shot is captured. Every Canon EOS camera have lens database inside and apply lens correction algorithm only when native Canon lenses mounted on it. Lens correction tool doesn’t work with third party lenses and the second thing don’t try to adjust focus ring while lens is on AF mode, Manual Override not available with Sigma lenses.
From Sigma
Thank you for purchasing and using our products.
Please find the following notes on the usage of SIGMA interchangeable lenses for EOS, when attached to Canon EOS 5D Mark IV that is released on September 8th.
- MO (Manual Override) function is unavailable with this camera (Full-time Manual function can be offered).
- When using a SIGMA interchangeable lens for EOS, setting the corrections to [Disable] is recommended, as “Lens Correction” functions of the camera, such as Peripheral illumination correction, Chromatic aberration correction, Diffraction correction and Distortion correction are not supported.*
* If those functions are activated, the performance of lenses may not be accurate.
* This is not only for EOS 5D Mark IV, but also for other camera bodies with the same function.
We appreciate your continued support for our company and products.

Photokina is over and the biggest announcement of the show according to me is Fuji GFX50S (announcement page here). To compete against Fuji GF50S and to save DSLRs & Lenses sale they both should announce a Medium Format as well as Fullframe sensor based Mirrorless system cameras.
Losing battle ground silently

If you don’t have a product then people will get it from a different manufacturers. If you want to get a fullframe mirrorless camera you have only one option – select a camera from Sony A7 series. And If we want to get a Compact Medium format mirrorless camera then we have Hasselblad X1D or Fuji GFX 50S as option in our front.

The the graph you see above clearly shows us how Sony emerged as the leader of Mirrorless camera industry. The stats taken from market research firm NPD. According to the research team Sony has emerged as the un-disputed #1 mirrorless camera maker for the last four years running.
Fact of the matter is Digital Camera do attracting more investors and young age photographers. Due to less availability of quality Mirrorless and Affordable options in CanNikon FF group user moving towards Sony and other third party manufactures.
Ignorance is bliss – Until you hit the ground
Nikon does have (only 1) Medium Format Lens Patents (See here –Article published at Sep 2013). And surprisingly Canon isn’t interested in Medium Format. Again, Just like fullframe mirrorless market ruled by Sony. It’s look like in upcoming years either Fuji, Hasselblad or Sony will take over the Medium format Mirrorless Market.

The Phase one camera announces a new budget 100MP digital back. The IQ1 camera is actually a trim down version of top-end IQ3 model. It features almost same core specification as the top-end IQ3 model features. But tp cut down the cost of the camera the Phase one eliminates the HDMI or Wi-Fi communication.
The display options are bit restricted by reducing the Exposure clipping warnings and no Exposure Zone tool. The power supply is also limited, IQ1 models can’t share power with the XF body and have no electronic shutter or ability to capture while in Live View mode.

When an XF body is bought with an IQ3 back Phase One offers a lens up to the value of $6990/€5990, but this offer isn’t open to those buying the camera with an IQ1 back.
