 Fujifilm upcoming compact camera X70 name surfaced at Chinese website Enotth.Com (XL file), the website issues the list of products those who clears the radio waves test and certified to use in china.

 I do expect that Fuji will announce its X70 camera within next few months, maybe on CES 2016. The camera is expected to arrive with a large 1″ sensor and advance cores specification compared to Fujifilm X30 camera.

 We have said earlier and saying it again that till date no compact camera from Fuji features 1″ Sensor, Fuji X30 and X-S1 compacts with 2/3″ CMOS sensor announced almost a year ago and desperately waiting for update.
According to latest rumors started from dpreview forum Fujifilm is now fully prepared to announce new bridge camera, possibly Fuji X-S2 camera with a large 1″ sensor instead of 2/3″ CMOS sensor.
The big question is from where they are getting a large 1″ sensor for the upcoming X-1 successor, do Fuji is partnering Sony to get 1″ sensors or they have developed their own 1″ X-Trans sensor.

I have a Fujifilm S700 which I love but have outgrown and need more 2gb sd cards which I can order online.
I have been eyeing /following the XS-1 and HS59EXR for awhile and am about to purchase one of them so I call Fuji about a UV filter on their site and I have it from a reliable source that a new bridge camera is on the horizon with a 1″ sensor like the Pany FZ1000 and am wondering if I should hold out for this new model or go ahead and get one of the older camera’s XS-1 or HS50EXR??
I’m going to Fla. in Jan. and want to take some excellent photos while I’m there.
So would my esteemed DP readers be kind enough to impart their words of wisdom for my dilema.
I can take great pictures with my S700 but for birds in flight or moving subjects it is really slow with 1.5 frames per second which for all practical purposes is 1 frame per second.
The most important part the user who is new and made only 32 post at dpreview. so Take with a pinch of salt ..

We have published the rumored earlier that Fuji X70 is under development and expected to arrive soon, But according to latest rumors surfaced over the web Fujifilm is working on a 16 MP X-Trans sensor for X-70, however at the moment the size of the sensor is un-known. Fuji X-70 is also expected to arrive with completely new and compact lens.

Yes, a bit strange news for me since every camera company will use CES 2016 as launchpad for announcing their products, however according to the latest buzz floating around the web via fujirumor, Fuji X-Pro2 camera will arrive on Jan 15, 2016 (CES will end in Jan 9, 2016).
The most important part of the rumor is X-PRO 2 not coming with high-end (4K) video recording option, it will remain limited with Full HD.

According to latest rumors floating over the web Fuji is medium format camera is under development, but there is no information about it specification and announcement date.
 Fujifilm believes that its own APS-C X-Trans sensor based camera are better than competitors fullframe sensors. You can look here what Fuji mangers said and why the believe APS-C sensor are better than Fullframe .
So finally we are getting hints that Fujifilm is directly jumping into the Medium format camera business without entering in full-frame world. The rumor is not new but we have already published few mentions in the past see here and here.

 According to latest rumors Fuji X-70 prototypes are on the wild and being tested by selected photographer worldwide. However the details are not know yet but the camera may arrive in Q1 or Q2 of 2016.
A look back at the history:-
When the X20 was announced we have published a detailed description of list of 51 improvements made by Fujifilm. However the Fuji X30 announcement was a very big disappointment Since the camera arrived without any significant update. Hence as a result vetran camera websites like dpreview published article “Opinion: Do we really need the Fuji X30?”
To regains it lost reputation Fuji must introduce X70 camera with lot’s of improvement including new Hybrid sensor and fast image processor.

 Finally images captured from X-Pro2 prototype model surfaced over the web, the EXIF data of the images clearly tells us that the images captured by the X-Pro2 camera. Keep in mind that the images belongs to magnumphoto section, its dedicated to the recent terrorists attacks in France, you can buy these images if you wish.
From the EXIF infomation it’s very clear that the camera is using a 24Mepixel sensor by having 6000×4000 pixels size. The ISO kept at 200 and captured with a 18mm lens.
I am not going to comment on the quality of the images, stay with us more news coming…
My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have been affected by this horrific act of extremism and terrorism.
