As from the initial set of comparison, you can see there are not big differences between the two models, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and the DJI Osmo Pocket 4. So if you ask someone who already owns the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera, then it’s not the best time to upgrade your camera. You should wait for the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. It’s going to be a new variant with extra features. Let’s wait for that. But yes, for now, this is a very little subtle change in the core specifications of the upcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera.
Dual-Camera DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro: Specs Confirmed, But Delays and US Availability Issues
Before we move forward, let’s have a look at the leaked core specifications of the upcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro camera. Some people are waiting for the Pro version, but at the very same time, initially what we are getting from DJI is the standard version with a single camera module. Obviously, and here in the standard version, we are going to have some subtle updates, but not a major one that we are actually expecting from the Pro version.

Delays are the catch:
Global Timeline: First, we have to understand that the Pro version is not coming soon, since DJI is going to allow the standard version to get some space. If they announce the Pro alongside the standard, obviously, it is going to affect the sales cycle, and there is a strong possibility it may also cannibalise the sales of the standard Pocket variant. So what we are expecting is that the standard model and the Pro model will maintain a gap of at least 4 to 6 months between their announcement dates.
US-Specific Challenges: The standard model got FCC approval (ID: 2ANDR-OP041) before the December 23, 2025 deadline. The biggest issue is that, till now, we haven’t seen any FCC registration details of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro variant. That clearly means that even if the Pro version arrives after a long gap or even a short gap, it may not become available in the United States of America, since the DJI brand is banned and no further FCC registrations are allowed from the brand after the December 23 ban. So yes, we already have the standard DJI Osmo Pocket 4 FCC ID/certificate, but we don’t have additional registration details, which clearly indicates the Pro variant will remain limited to other countries of the world, not the United States of America.
DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Release Date
Now, since the retail box of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera is leaked, and we have already seen retailers worldwide stocking the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera gear, the announcement is very near to us. Most probably, we are going to have the official announcement of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera in the month of February – March 2026. One thing is for sure: this year, we are also going to have very strong competitors for the Pocket series cameras, starting from the Insta360 Pocket camera. Other than that, we also have the Huawei Robo Cam, But as we all know, Huawei is already banned in the United States of America. But at least we are going to have the Insta360 Pocket camera for sure, and as we have seen in the recently leaked information, which has been exclusively published at TheNewCamera.com, the Insta360 Pocket camera will have multiple camera modules, which you can switch very easily, and for sure they are going to approach every type of photographer as well as content creator out there. So let’s wait for that.

DJI Avata 360 is creating a lot of buzz, and it has been rising even more since the pre-order page popped up from authentic and unofficial retailers like US Drone Supply. We have attached the screenshot below, where you can clearly see the pre-order page going live, and the best part of these pages is that they revealed the pricing of the Avata 360 drone.
Now, one thing to be noted is that these pre-order pages mean the announcement may happen anytime soon. In general, what happens is DJI teases their products about a week before their official announcement. Yes, we are waiting for the teaser, and then obviously, we’re going to have the official announcement from DJI.

In our January 8, 2026, post, we have also published fresh images that clearly show the DJI Avata 360 dual-mode action, where we can clearly see the camera module of the DJI 360 rotated to the front position to capture video from a single camera [DJI avata 360 in FPV Mode], and the controller display is veryclearly showcasing what the drone is capturing from singal camera module.
The drone is connected to a DJI RC controller (resembling the RC 2) via cable, displaying a live feed. It features a gray cinewhoop-style frame with full spherical propeller guards for safe indoor and proximity flying. Labels indicate DJI branding and an advanced transmission module, likely O4, for enhanced range.
Interestingly, the camera module in the image clearly shows a tiltable camera module, so that one of the lenses points forward.
