DJI Lito 1 and X1 Drone: Release Date, Specs, Price, Variants, and Latest Leaks - 2026 Update

DJI Lito 1 and the DJI Lito X1 are the two drones that are already registered in FCC ID and are expected around the second and third quarter of 2026. These are the entry-level drones set to be the direct replacement of the existing DJI Mini 4K and DJI Mini 5 Pro. Now, before writing this article, we have done cross verification across multiple sources, which confirms a lot of things related to the Lito 1 and the Lito X1 are the drones. And guess what, we also have an exact timeline when these are coming, so we are going to discuss the details in detail — let’s jump into the content.

DJI Lito 1 and X1 Drone at FCCID:

  • November 27, 2025: FCC Approval for DJI Lito X1 Signals Official Development: The first concrete evidence of the DJI Lito X1 emerged with its FCC certification under ID SS3-DGP14 (models DGP14C and DGP14D). This approval confirms the drone’s compliance with US wireless standards, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth Low Energy, and SDR transmission for low-latency video. Weighing under 250 grams, the Lito X1 is designed as a foldable, entry-level model exempt from registration in regions like the US and EU.
  • On December 11, the FCC approved the Lito 1 under ID SS3-DGN12, establishing it as the entry-level variant. That same day, insider Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News) posted on X about the Lito 1, sharing an image and confirming its existence alongside the X1

DJI Lito X1 Variants: Lito X1 vs. Lito 1

Initially, it started with FCC ID leaks, which confirmed the arrival of the Lito Series in the United States of America. Some specific components of Lito action drones were also leaked (and yes, these parts make us sure, yes, they are the drones which come under the LITO branding). Well, it may be DJI’s strategy; they could have leaked it intentionally to create pre-announcement buzz about which product is actually coming under the branding of Lito.

What they have done is they also leaked a drone which very closely resembles the arms of the DJI Mini 4K drone, and that was more than enough to confirm that DJI, as well as the Lito X1, is nothing other than the upcoming entry-level drones.

The design might look a bit different from what you’d expect because the handle being held in the leaked images isn’t the final version. DJI still needs to complete the internal wiring in that section, and the drone motors will be attached right at the very end of the arms. Right now, this is essentially a modular shell/prototype of the Lito X1 – early development hardware focused on form and fit. That’s why it appears slightly different from the DJI Mini 4K. This is completely normal in the drone development process.

DJI Lito X1 Variants: Lito X1 vs. Lito 1

Now we have technically two different drones coming, and it’s already a lot of data to prove that yes, these are two drones only and nothing else. Many Asian websites started listing the Lito X1 drone even on their webpages.

But even before that, we do know which specific model is coming to replace which one, so let’s discuss that.

  • DJI Lito 1: Positioned as a successor to the 2024 Mini 4K, it’s geared toward beginners with basic features but solid performance.
  • DJI Lito X1: The higher-end variant, potentially replacing models like the Mini 5 Pro, with enhanced imaging for content creators.

Both variants have been cross-verified through global certifications, ensuring a worldwide rollout.

Specification” Flight Features and Sensors

  • Obstacle Avoidance: 360° detection via fisheye optics, LiDAR-like sensors (10m range), and infrared for altitude.
  • Transmission: O5 for 20km+ range; Wi-Fi up to 500m. Compatible with RC-N3/RC2.
  • Control Modes: Autonomous, voice (“Hey fly”), motion, app-based.
  • Wind Resistance: Level 5 with efficient motors.
  • Other: Front display, LEDs, SDR anti-interference.

Why do we think O5 will be in X1 – Since after deep analysis of FCCIF document of X1 Drone we found that, it mentions “SDR Transmission 2 Transceiver” (Dec 20, 2025 entry), which aligns with OcuSync’s SDR roots but adds 5G cellular integration—positioning it as a true “next-gen” leap for unlimited range beyond line-of-sight.

O4 achieves 20km (12.4 miles) in ideal conditions (FCC mode), far beyond Wi-Fi’s 1-2km limit. With SDR 2’s 5G integration (as in the FCC), range becomes virtually unlimited via cellular networks, enabling beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) flights for inspections or search-and-rescue—crucial amid regulations like the US FCC bans on non-compliant tech.

Battery and Storage

  • Battery: Standard (~30 min, <250g); Plus (~50 min, >250g). Compatible with Mini batteries.
  • Storage: SD slot + internal (Lito 1: ~22GB; X1: ~42GB).

These features position the Lito X1 as a versatile, value-driven drone. As soon as we get confirmed specifications, we will be updating here at TheNewCamera.com.

DJI Lito 1 & X1 Price: What to Expect

Leaked estimates align with Mini pricing:

  • Lito 1: ~$330 base; ~$490 combo.
  • Lito X1: ~$759 base; ~$NA

Cross-verified with market trends and predecessors, it’s competitive against alternatives like the HoverAir X1.

DJI Lito X1 Release Date: Announcement Before May 2026

As of January 28, 2026, the Lito X1 remains unreleased, but leaks suggest an early 2026 launch—likely late February to early April. Global availability is confirmed via FCC and other certifications.

FCC Registration’s Role in Timeline

The FCC approved ID SS3-DGP14 on November 27, 2025. FCC rules permit confidentiality up to 180 days (or shorter, e.g., 120 days) for sensitive info like photos and manuals. A 180-day period ends May 25, 2026; a 120-day period ends March 27, 2026.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro: Exclusive Insights on the Mysterious New Pocket Camera

Xtra Atto Officially Announced: Ultra-Compact 4K Wearable Camera for Creators – Specs, Price, and Availability

Xtra Technology officially announced Xtra Atto on  January 29, 2026, unveiling it. The Xtra Atto is a tiny POV camera with magnetic mount/sticking abilities, weighing just 54g and promising hands-free POV shooting in stunning 4K resolution. Following our earlier coverage of the rumours and leaks, where we speculated it might be a rebranded DJI Osmo Nano tailored for the US market, the official reveal confirms its position as a versatile tool for vloggers, adventurers, and everyday creators. With features like built-in stabilisation and extended battery life, the Xtra Atto is set to redefine portable videography.

Design and Build: Compact and Versatile

stands out with its ultra-compact design, making it one of the smallest 4K cameras available. At only 54g, it’s lighter than most smartphones and can be easily mounted on a chest harness, cap, bike, or even a car for seamless hands-free operation. Its waterproof construction ensures it can handle splashes and light rain, ideal for outdoor activities. The camera’s sleek, minimalist aesthetic blends into daily life, allowing creators to capture spontaneous moments without the bulk of traditional action cams.

Key Specifications of the Xtra Atto

Here’s a breakdown of the Xtra Atto’s impressive specs, straight from the official announcement:

    • Sensor: 1/1.3-inch sensor for high-quality imaging in various lighting conditions.
    • Video Resolution: Up to 4K at 60fps, ensuring smooth, professional-grade footage.
    • Battery Life: Up to 220 minutes of maximum recording time, perfect for extended shoots.
    • Pre-Recording: Capture up to 5 minutes of footage before hitting record, so you never miss a moment.

  • Wearable POV Shooting: Mount it anywhere for immersive first-person perspectives, ideal for BTS footage, tutorials, or adventure vlogs.
  • High-Speed Data Transfer: 600MB/s speeds mean you can transfer large 4K files in seconds, streamlining your workflow.

Xtra Technology, a US-registered startup with a background in imaging innovations, emphasizes creator-focused tools. The Atto joins their lineup including the Xtra Muse and Sphra360, continuing their push for accessible high-tech gear.

Price and Availability

The Xtra Atto is priced at $299, a significant discount from its regular $449 price tag (saving $150). It’s available now for purchase directly from the Xtra official store and select retailers like Amazon. Early adopters can grab it while the introductory offer lasts, making it an affordable entry into premium wearable cameras.

Final Thoughts

The Xtra Atto isn’t a new breed of camera; we have already seen many POV cameras, like the Insta360 GO series and the recently announced DJI Nano. The Xtra Atto is said to have the same core specs as the DJI Nano—or, to be more precise, it’s a clone of the DJI Nano. But why? Since we all know that DJI is facing a ban and is under the FCC Covered List. Once a company is on the FCC Covered List, it cannot register any new products, and because those products will not receive FCC clearance, DJI will not be able to announce new products in the USA. To solve all those issues, the DJI clone Xtra is now there in the USA, and since Xtra is new, not on the Covered List, neither is Xtra making or announcing any drones, so most probably the company is not again going to fall under the FCC Covered List radar. So it’s pretty safe for the future, and DJI now can now re-announce and remain active in the USA by announcing new cameras and gimbals in the name of the Xtra brand.

Stay tuned to TheNewCamera.com for our hands-on review coming soon. What do you think of the Xtra Atto? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro: Exclusive Insights on the Mysterious New Pocket Camera

Image shared by Reddit user – According to him, he accidentally spotted the Dual camera look alike Prototype of DJI Pocket 4 at an indoor ski resort, shenzhen – China

Recently, an intriguing image surfaced on Reddit, sparking widespread speculation about the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. But is it really the next flagship Pocket gimbal from DJI, or could it be something else entirely—like an upcoming Insta360 Pocket camera? At TheNewCamera.com, we’ve dived deep into the details to separate fact from fiction. This article breaks down the leak, compares it to known designs, and explores what this could mean for content creators searching for the best pocket gimbal camera in 2026.

The Reddit Leak: A First Look at the Mysterious Camera

A Reddit user has recently leaked the camera. First, I have to say that it is very similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera, but it is not exactly same as the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. We are going to explain it later. First of all, this was captured at an indoor ski resort in Shenzhen. As usual, after capturing this camera pic, he shared the image on the Reddit forum with the caption DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro.

It’s quite usual for anyone to spot a camera like this, and obviously, based on the latest set/trends of rumors, we are going to name it the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro without a doubt, but let’s have a look at another perspective.

This sighting in Shenzhen—a hub for tech innovation—adds an air of authenticity to the leak. Reddit users often share unfiltered glimpses into upcoming gadgets, and this one quickly gained traction among DJI Osmo Pocket enthusiasts. But as we’ll see, initial assumptions can be misleading. For those tracking pocket camera leaks 2026, this image has fueled debates across forums and social media.

Expert Analysis: Not the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro?

Thanks to the trusted source Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News), and according to him, the image that is shared by the Reddit user with the caption of DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro is not actually the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro camera. He has shared side-by-side images of the actual DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro and the latest model, which the user is sharing. And yes, you can notice quite a bit of difference between the camera images. Bogdanov’s insights are drawn from reliable industry sources. By providing side-by-side comparisons of DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro, he highlights discrepancies that savvy observers might miss at first glance. This isn’t just another DJI leak; it’s a potential misidentification that could point to a competitor’s device. As written in his post, Igor Bogdanov believes the leaked camera is insta360 Pocket camera, and not a DJI Pocket 4 Pro.

Spotting the Key Differences: A Detailed Breakdown

Now, how to spot the difference between the two: as you can see, the gimbal arm which is holding the camera of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro is attached to the camera module in a different manner. The image shared by the person recently in the edited form has a bit different setup. Although both are dual-camera and spaced camera designs, the setup—specifically the arm position which holds the camera—is completely different from each other.

To make it easier for readers searching for DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro vs Insta360, here’s a clear comparison:

  • Gimbal Arm Attachment: In the authentic DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro, the arm connects seamlessly in a compact, integrated fashion. The leaked image shows a more modular or offset design, suggesting a different engineering approach.
  • Camera Module Layout: Both feature dual-camera setups, ideal for HQ 4K video capture with Optical Zoom or enhanced stabilization. However, the spacing and overall ergonomics differ, with the leak appearing bulkier or more adaptable.
  • Overall Build: The DJI model prioritizes portability, while the mystery device hints at modularity, possibly for professional upgrades.

So that sparks debate that yes, the unit shared recently from the resort is not the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro camera. It can be an Insta360 Pocket camera with a wireless module setup, who knows—we are going to discuss it later. But as per the trusted source, he is thinking that this is the upcoming Insta360 Pocket camera, not the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro.

These differences aren’t minor—they could indicate a shift in pocket gimbal technology, emphasizing customization over one-size-fits-all designs.

Exclusive Leaked Images: Insta360 Pocket Camera Insights

Now it’s time to add some sort of leaked images of the Insta360 Pro camera. The images of the upcoming Insta360 Pro camera were shared by us exclusively at TheNewCamera.com a few weeks ago, and here you can see again the design difference of the camera module, which is quite a bit different from the design that is being shared by the source recently in the forum. Again, we are having some sort of design difference between the two.

At TheNewCamera.com, we’re proud to have been among the first to reveal Insta360 Pocket camera leaks. Our exclusive images showcase a robust camera module with advanced features, setting it apart from the Reddit leak. For those comparing Insta360 vs DJI pocket cameras, these visuals are essential.

But with the Insta360 Pocket camera, there is one more thing that we have to keep in mind: multiple camera units/modules are visible in a pic where we have heavy camera modules without gimbal, with a possibly larger sensor, and specifically made for dedicated professional content creators who would love to capture high-quality low-light videos.

This modularity is a game-changer. Imagine swapping modules for different scenarios:

  • Low-Light Performance: Larger sensors for superior night shots.
  • Professional Video: Options for high-res footage without the need for a full gimbal.
  • Budget Flexibility: Choose modules based on your needs, from entry-level to pro-grade.

So one thing is very clear: Insta360 is testing a multiple of camera modules for their upcoming Pocket series camera, and possibly they are going to give us options to buy the best camera module as per our requirement and budget.

What This Means for the Future of Pocket Cameras

There is a very high probability that, since the Insta360 Pocket camera prototype is set to launch with multiple interchangeable camera modules, the image shared by the Reddit user is not the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. Instead, it is most likely the upcoming Insta360 Pocket camera. That said, if you examine the clearly visible module design in the image (as shared by a trusted source above), we cannot deny its authenticity. At the same time, the initial prototype design referenced earlier appears slightly different from what’s shown here. So once again, there is a very high probability that multiple pro-level camera units are still out in the wild, being actively tested by professional users and photographers. We don’t yet know exactly which version will make it to the final production line, but yes—very soon, we’ll have exciting, versatile options for content creation.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Retail Box Leak: Creator Combo Revealed with Confirmed Specs

Insta360 CEO Accidentally Revealed TWO Upcoming Cameras in One Shot!

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Retail Box Leak: Creator Combo Revealed with Confirmed Specs

DJI Pocket 4 detail box leaked today, and the information is coming from one of the highly trusted sources, Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News). The packaging box reveals that the gimbal camera announcement is very near to us. A few days ago, we shared with you the screenshot of the DJI China retailers’ smartphone screenshots, where they have the stock of the Pocket 4 camera. Other than that, just a few days ago, one of our subscribers shared an Amazon Germany premature listing of the DJI Pocket 4 camera, where we also saw leaked specs of the upcoming camera. Now we are going to discuss all together below in a very short and concise way, so let’s jump into the content.

Decoding the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Packaging Leak

The retail box shows us the standard version and not the Pro ( one carrying the dual-lens module setup), and since the image is shared by a trusted source, we do not believe it is anything silly. The standard version is coming.

Shared via X post ID: 2014597722104349118, the packaging showcases the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 in its Creator Combo variant:

  • Eye-catching “DJI OSMO POCKET 4” text with the signature pocket-sized design, featuring a rotating touchscreen displaying a stunning landscape.
  • Intuitive NEW controls for zooming in,  including a joystick, record button, and microphone grille.
  • Multilingual “Creator Combo” branding (English, French: “Bundle Créateur”, Chinese: “全能套装”) for worldwide appeal.
  • Warehouse clues like the “Do Not Open Till Confirmation” sticker signal pre-launch inventory.

You have clearly seen that all these things written above are clearly visible on the packaging box of the upcoming Pocket 4 camera, and yes, I am really disappointed that only a single-lens-module-based Pocket 4 camera is coming. I was actually expecting that we were going to have the dual-camera-module-based Pocket 4, but later on, for sure, we are going to have the Pro Pocket 4 series camera announcement in the future. But let’s discuss the core specifications of the upcoming Pocket 4 camera that we have already seen via the Amazon Germany listing. Let’s have a roundup of the upcoming Pocket 4 camera core specifications.

Confirmed Specs for the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Standard Model – Amazon Listing Verified

The Pocket 4 camera seems like a subtle upgraded version of the Pocket 3, not much of a difference that we were actually expecting. The standard DJI Osmo Pocket 4 builds on the Pocket 3 with targeted enhancements, and the now-verified Amazon Germany listing  (pulled shortly after surfacing) nails the details we’ve covered extensively. This accidental reveal described a vlogging-optimised camera, and recent leaks corroborate it as accurate for the base model:

  • Sensor: 1-inch equivalent CMOS (listed as 2.5 cm), optimized for superior low-light performance and dynamic range—matching the evolutionary upgrade from the Pocket 3.
  • Video Recording: 4K/120fps for buttery-smooth slow-motion and high-frame-rate footage, a clear step up from the Pocket 3’s 4K/60fps standard.
  • Stabilization: Advanced 3-axis gimbal for rock-steady shots, refined for even better handling.
  • Focusing and Tracking: Fast autofocus with intelligent face/object detection, ensuring sharp subject lock during dynamic vlogs.
  • Additional Features: Seamless YouTube integration for live streaming and uploads via the DJI Mimo app, plus extended battery life (20-30% boost to over 200 minutes).

The Creator Combo is poised to include creator essentials:

  • Wide-angle lens attachment
  • Battery handle for prolonged shooting
  • Mini tripod/grip
  • Protective carrying case
  • New accessories like the “FrameTap” from FCC documents

For a quick comparison:

Feature DJI Osmo Pocket 3 DJI Osmo Pocket 4 (Standard)
Sensor 1-inch CMOS 1-inch CMOS (enhanced, 2.5 cm equiv.)
Video Resolution 4K/60fps 4K/120fps
Screen 2-inch OLED 2-inch OLED (brighter, higher refresh)
Battery Life Up to 166 minutes Up to 200+ minutes
Stabilization 3-axis gimbal Enhanced 3-axis
Focusing Standard AF Fast AF with face/object tracking
Price (Est. Combo) $669 $699–$749

As from the initial set of comparison, you can see there are not big differences between the two models, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and the DJI Osmo Pocket 4. So if you ask someone who already owns the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera, then it’s not the best time to upgrade your camera. You should wait for the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. It’s going to be a new variant with extra features. Let’s wait for that. But yes, for now, this is a very little subtle change in the core specifications of the upcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera.

Dual-Camera DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro: Specs Confirmed, But Delays and US Availability Issues

Before we move forward, let’s have a look at the leaked core specifications of the upcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro camera. Some people are waiting for the Pro version, but at the very same time, initially what we are getting from DJI is the standard version with a single camera module. Obviously, and here in the standard version, we are going to have some subtle updates, but not a major one that we are actually expecting from the Pro version.

  • Camera System: Dual 1/1.1-inch sensors (wide-angle + telephoto) with 2x–4x optical zoom, variable aperture (f/1.7–f/2.8), and Hasselblad color science for pro-grade depth, portraits, and low-light prowess.
  • Why It’s Exciting: Instant lens switching and enhanced versatility, bridging the gap to drone-level filming in a handheld device.
  • Verification: Backed by X posts from @djirumor and reports from Digital Camera World, including prototype images.

Delays are the catch:

  • Global Timeline:  First, we have to understand that the Pro version is not coming soon, since DJI is going to allow the standard version to get some space. If they announce the Pro alongside the standard, obviously, it is going to affect the sales cycle, and there is a strong possibility it may also cannibalise the sales of the standard Pocket variant. So what we are expecting is that the standard model and the Pro model will maintain a gap of at least 4 to 6 months between their announcement dates.
  • US-Specific Challenges: The standard model got FCC approval (ID: 2ANDR-OP041) before the December 23, 2025 deadline. The biggest issue is that, till now, we haven’t seen any FCC registration details of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro variant. That clearly means that even if the Pro version arrives after a long gap or even a short gap, it may not become available in the United States of America, since the DJI brand is banned and no further FCC registrations are allowed from the brand after the December 23 ban. So yes, we already have the standard DJI Osmo Pocket 4 FCC ID/certificate, but we don’t have additional registration details, which clearly indicates the Pro variant will remain limited to other countries of the world, not the United States of America.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Release Date

Now, since the retail box of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera is leaked, and we have already seen retailers worldwide stocking the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera gear, the announcement is very near to us. Most probably, we are going to have the official announcement of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera in the month of February – March 2026. The exact date of announcement is not known yet, but yes, as soon as we get that, we will be updating the content. So keep an eye on TheNewCamera.com for further updates.

One thing is for sure: this year, we are also going to have very strong competitors for the Pocket series cameras, starting from the Insta360 Pocket camera. Other than that, we also have the Huawei Robo Cam, But as we all know, Huawei is already banned in the United States of America. But at least we are going to have the Insta360 Pocket camera for sure, and as we have seen in the recently leaked information, which has been exclusively published at TheNewCamera.com, the Insta360 Pocket camera will have multiple camera modules, which you can switch very easily, and for sure they are going to approach every type of photographer as well as content creator out there. So let’s wait for that.

Also, if you’re not heavily interested in the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera, or if you think that the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 upgrade is not worth it and you were actually waiting for the dual-lens-module-based best Pocket Pro camera, then for sure you should wait for the Insta360 Pocket Cam and then decide which camera you should buy.

Apart from all these, we are very excited, and let’s see what happens next. Stay tuned while we are going to cover all the possible updates of upcoming DJI and other pocket-style cameras from different brands.

DJI Avata 360: Preorders Live with $999 Pricing

DJI Avata 360 is creating a lot of buzz, and it has been rising even more since the pre-order page popped up from authentic and unofficial retailers like US Drone Supply. We have attached the screenshot below, where you can clearly see the pre-order page going live, and the best part of these pages is that they revealed the pricing of the Avata 360 drone.

Now, one thing to be noted is that these pre-order pages mean the announcement may happen anytime soon. In general, what happens is DJI teases their products about a week before their official announcement. Yes, we are waiting for the teaser, and then obviously, we’re going to have the official announcement from DJI.

Let me tell you one thing just before this. We have decided to publish this coverage because, for publishing, we have received a lot of authentic content, and after a deep analysis, we decided to publish this. The pre-order-based pricing looks very authentic, as well as the images.

Now, apart from this, just before that, we were constantly getting rumors from different sources. Specifically, two new sources were pointing toward a first-week-of-February announcement of the Avata 360 drone. What does it mean? We don’t know. Yes, they may be telling the truth or not—we’re not sure about that until the announcement officially happens. But yeah, both new sources a few weeks back were pointing toward the first week of February 2026, and one source was very sure about February 5, 2026, as the date for the official arrival of the Avata 360 drone.

This is what we were getting just before this pre-order page went live.
Let’s analyze the pricing.

Leaked Images Reveal a Cinewhoop-Style Design with 360-Degree Twists

In our January 8, 2026, post, we have also published fresh images that clearly show the DJI Avata 360 dual-mode action, where we can clearly see the camera module of the DJI 360 rotated to the front position to capture video from a single camera [DJI avata 360 in FPV Mode], and the controller display is veryclearly showcasing what the drone is capturing from singal camera module.

The drone is connected to a DJI RC controller (resembling the RC 2) via cable, displaying a live feed. It features a gray cinewhoop-style frame with full spherical propeller guards for safe indoor and proximity flying. Labels indicate DJI branding and an advanced transmission module, likely O4, for enhanced range.

Interestingly, the camera module in the image clearly shows a tiltable camera module, so that one of the lenses points forward. This suggests that the Avata 360 is not only intended as a 360-degree camera drone, but can also be used as a regular FPV drone, similar to the Avata 2. In that scenario, the pilot can simply operate with a forward-facing view during flight, as the existing.

second image displays the entire kit, where we have the battery charging hub and spare batteries. It looks like someone who purchased a kit of the Avata 360 drone just unboxed it in front and captured the image.

DJI Avata 360 Specifications: Blending FPV Agility with Spherical Capture

If the whispers from low-credibility forums and leak aggregators hold any water, the DJI Avata 360 could revolutionize hybrid drone usage. Key speculated features include:

  • 360-Degree Camera Integration: Dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors, same as we have seen on the DJI Osmo 360, enabling 8K video recording and full spherical capture. And single lens mode while recording panoramic
  • Enhanced Transmission and Range: Likely featuring DJI’s O4 transmission system for improved signal stability and longer flight distances, making it suitable for both indoor cinematic shots and outdoor adventures.
  • Obstacle Avoidance and Smart Modes: Rumours suggest built-in obstacle sensing, a follow-me mode [with active tracking of moving subject], and automated flight paths, lowering the barrier for beginners while appealing to pros.
  • Battery and Flight Time Upgrades: An improved battery life over the Avata 2, potentially offering extended sessions for capturing high-res footage without frequent swaps.
  • Versatility for Creators: The drone might double as a standard FPV unit or a dedicated 360 camera, combining two devices into one compact form factor.

Release Date Speculations: February 2026 Announcement on the Horizon?

The reports that we received in the past were pointing toward a first-week-of-February 2026 announcement, and one of the new sources was very much confident about the February 5 date. Now, having said that, even though the pre-order pages are live, the fact is that there has been no teaser from DJI till now, which clearly means the announcement is still a few days away from now.

As we know, DJI generally posts teasers 3 to 4 days, or sometimes even 7 days, before the official announcement, and then they proceed with the final launch. So again, the website that listed the drone looks very credible, and they are also accepting pre-orders by charging a $99 early fee.

At the same time, we are again waiting for the final date of arrival, and as soon as we get any update regarding it, we will be posting it here on TheNewCamera.com.
