CANON EF 35MM F/1.4L - New vs Old Lens Comparison

We are comparing here the newly announced and the old Canon 35mm lens, starting from the design part we can clearly see that there are minor changes in the design of both the lens, the lens grip becomes bit more broad which is really good and will help you while you are using Manual focus..

Inside the lens there are some big changes, the older lens was composed of 11 lens elements in 9 groups on the other hand the newly announced lens is made up of 14 lens elements in 11 groups.

Introduction of Canon’s proprietary Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics (BR Optics) incorporate a new organic optical material that combats fringing in the image very effectively.

The minimum focusing distance of the lens is improved by 2cm compared to its predecessor and Canon added 1 more Diaphragm Blades to make the bokeh look more natural to eyesAs we can clearly see the sharpness/ resolving power of the lens improved dramatically from 0.5 to 0.8, Lens showing excellent color and contrast output even at MAX aperture.

Canon Announces the New EF 35mm F1.4L II lens

Canon recently has developed Blue Spectrum Refractive (BR), a new optical element for use in camera lenses that corrects chromatic aberrations at an extremely high level to achieve superb imaging performance.

Canon finally announced the latest second generation wide-angle prime lens EF 35mm F1.4L II USM and now it became the world’s first company who implemented the Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics (BR Optics) technology on the lens.

Such type of technology will definitely support the lens to focus all colors to the same convergence point and reduce the chromatic aberration magnificently compare to other present technology. It will be beneficial for the production of high –quality images of the sujects subject with superb imaging performance.

The lens consists of 14 elements in which two of them are aspherical and the other is ‘Super UD’. It has 9 aperture blades which support the production of bokeh and offers a minimum focusing distance of 0.28m/11in. It has dust and water-resistant body.

We have published earlier that Canon will announce a new version of existing 35mm F1.4L lens, there was expectation that Canon will announce EF35mm F1.4L II USM on 14^th August, 2015 at the cost of $1,899. But due to some unknown reason it was not announced till date.

Now Digicame-info came with the first image and specs of the upcoming Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II Lens which is the confirmation of its announcement within few days.

Raw comparison of Sony a7RII Vs. Canon EOS 5Ds R

Well, this Sony Alpha A7r Mark II vs. Canon EOS 5DSr comparison could help you in great way knowing the name of camera that is best in providing the excellent raw images. As we have laid our eyes in latest news surfaced online where they said that they used the third party lens Sigma ART 50mm f1.4 for this test and utilized the 100 ISO range for the ultimate high resolution war .

the EOS 5DSr is a little more contrasty and the A7r II a little sharper, but both can be adjusted as desired.
