New Sensor For Better Low Light Performance
Confirmation: The upcoming Canon G7X Mark III camera uses new 20 MP BSI CMOS sensor. The previous generation of Canon G7X series camera was using 20 MP CMOS sensor. With the introduction of BSI (backside illumination) tech. the sensor will become more light sensitive and hence, you will get more more cleaner low-light images compared to Canon G7X Mark II camera.
Introduction of Digic 8 Image Processor alongside with New Sensor
The DIGIC 8 Image Processor powers the PowerShot G7 X Mark III camera to produce high image quality and fast operation, even in low light. The camera features a wide ISO range for still images and videos, Digic 8 Image processor allows you to capture RAW file @ 30FPS, you can record high quality 4K videos and Full HD Videos at 120 FPS.
