DJI Osmo Mobile 8 Retail Box Leak: Exclusive First Glimpse at Official Packaging and In-Store Display

DJI Osmo Mobile 8 Retail Box Leak: Exclusive First Glimpse at Official Packaging and In-Store Display

DJI is always ready to surprise us with its new products. Now, the next big announcement is the Osmo Mobile 8 gimbal stabiliser. We have already covered the latest buzz related to the osmo 8 gimbal, starting from  FCC filing details, to  its Amazon US listing and today’s leak takes things a step further. We now have the High-resolution images of the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 retail box that have surfaced online, which give us the clearest look yet at the official packaging design. Shared by the most trusted sources via a viral X post @Quadro_News, to be very clear, these photos not only showcase the sleek box aesthetics but also capture the device in a real-world retail setting in a retail shop. — hinting that a November 2025 launch might be closer than we think.

Unboxing the Leak: A Close-Up on the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 Packaging Design

The leaked images we have give a very clear view of the OSMO 8 Gimbal, the branding, and the product is ready to adapt to smartphones. The details are about to be revealed. ` Measuring approximately the size of a standard smartphone accessory package (around 12x6x4 inches based on visual scale), as we can see the box sports DJI’s signature minimalist white exterior with bold black accents, and it looks 100% authentic and gives aesthetic vibes.

Front Panel Highlights

  • Prominent Global Branding: The package itself declares global market readiness. As we can notice, the front of the box print shows (top section)  “DJI Osmo Mobile 8” in large, metallic lettering, flanked by the iconic DJI logo. Below it, the tagline “Smartphone Stabiliser” is repeated in English, Simplified Chinese (智能手机稳定器), and French (Stabilisateur pour smartphone),  and that gives us a clear signal of global market readiness.
  • Hero Imagery: A vibrant, high-res OSMO 8 Image is at the centre: The black Osmo Mobile 8 gimbal is attached with a smartphone (resembling an iPhone 16 or similar), And if you closely notice, the video which is being displayed in the phone is of capturing a dynamic beach volleyball scene with a yellow-shirted athlete mid-jump. The footage itself explains the OMSO 8 dynamics, which are known for stabilisation to perfection and subject tracking on the go.

This front-facing design isn’t just eye candy; it’s optimized for shelf appeal in electronics stores, drawing in impulse buyers with its aspirational lifestyle vibe. Compared to the Osmo Mobile 7’s more subdued box, this feels more cinematic, aligning with DJI’s push toward pro-level vlogging.

In-Store Sighting: DJI Osmo Mobile 8 Hits Retail Shelves Early?

Beyond the box, we have two more leaked images of the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 in a retail display. We can clearly see the retail stores now stocking up on the OSMO 8 gimbal; this generally happens just a week before the official announcement

  • Assembled Demo Unit: The black handle grip of the OSMO 8 Gimbal features illuminated buttons, as we have already seen in the previous generation of OSMO series gimbals. The design is almost the same (power, mode, and record indicators in green/red),  the control panel area is composed of a side-facing focus wheel, and a thumb joystick for precise panning. The 3-arm gimbal extends fluidly, with a magnetic phone clamp that’s wider than the Osmo Mobile 7’s, built for handling heavy and bulky smartphones of 2025 flagships like the iPhone 17 series.
  • Already available in Store: The rest of the images available, apart from the packing box, tell us the entire story as we have already discussed above. The stock is ready and waiting for an official announcement, which is about to happen soon. Although no price tags are visible..

What’s Next for DJI Osmo Mobile 8? Stay Locked In

This DJI Osmo Mobile 8 retail box leak is more than pixels—  it’s a promise that we have made with you about an early announcement. We will keep tracking upcoming development related to the OSMO 8 Gimbal as well as DJI’s upcoming Pocket 4 and Neo 2 Updates.

What do you think of the packaging design?

Insta360 Antigravity A1 Review

DJI Deals Amazon USA: October 2025 – Unmissable Discounts on Action Cameras, Mics, and More

Insta360 Antigravity A1 Review

insta 360 antigravity A1 review

Welcome to TheNewCamera.com, and finally, let’s dive deep into the Insta360 Antigravity A1 review – The Insta360 is one  360-degree drone, for the first time introduced by any brand. This sub-250g powerhouse allows 8K reframing. The A1 drone from the Insta360 Antigravity brand is made for both beginners and professionals. Now it’s time to break down its features, weigh the pros and cons, and share insights from top reviewers. Let’s dive into the details

Introduction: Why the Antigravity A1 Stands Out in the Drone World

We have already seen a lot of drones from DJI, all of them are great, but none of them can capture everything in stunning 8K 360 degrees. The Insta360 Antigravity A1 isn’t just another quadcopter; it’s Insta360’s complete innovation. It makes everything around it in stunning 85 Details while moving, the Insta360 uses its signature 360-camera expertise with beginner-friendly flight tech. The Drone was announced back in August 2025 and will become officially available in retail stores from January 2026. The A1 weighs just 249g, no need for FAA registration, + geo-fencing helps to create content without worrying about entering in no-fly zone.

Priced around $1,300–$1,700 for the full kit (drone, controller, and headset), the Insta360 creates a completely different user space; they are directly competing with DJI since, as of now, none of the DJI drones offer 360 recording capability. So, they are creating a completely different space in the consumer base.

In our hands-on time with prototypes, it felt like wielding a flying Insta360 X5 – portable, quiet, and packed with surprises. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s find out?

This Antigravity A1 review uncovers the truth, optimised for creators chasing cinematic skies without the steep learning curve

Key Features of the Insta360 Antigravity A1

Take a deep look at the set of features we are getting inside the new 360 Drone,

1. Detailed 8K 360-Degree Video Capture

  • Innovative Dual fish-eye lenses record full-sphere footage at 8K/30fps or 5.7K/60fps, matching the Insta360 X5’s quality
  • Invisible drone body. Designed very accurately by Insta360 engineers to keep the drone and its parts away from the view frame of the recording
  •  1/1.28-inch sensors deliver pro-quality output

2. Intuitive Motion Controls and Immersive Goggles

  • Wii Remote-style Grip controller, which works very similarly to the DJI controller: Point to fly, trigger for speed, jog wheel for in-place rotation, and slider for altitude.
  • AR headset with OLED displays offers a 360-degree cockpit view; It works flawlessly in sync with your drone. Gives an excellent Superman POV experience.
  • Neck-worn battery powers the goggles, and an external screen is also there that allows bystanders to peek in.
  • In Sport mode, once the obstacle avoidance sensor is disabled, you can unlock faster flights.

3. Smart Safety and Portability

  • Antigravity A1 features Front-facing obstacle avoidance and payload detection
  • auto-lands if overloaded to prevent misuse
  • Folding arms, auto-retracting landing gear, and quiet props make it travel-ready
  • Regulatory smarts: Geo-fencing for no-fly zones and under-250g weight for hassle-free global use.

4. Powerful Post-Production Editing

  • Insta360 Studio app: For an easy post-production workflow
  • AI subject tracking, keyframe as well as reframing, and hassle-free quick warp-free exports to 4K/16:9.
  • Mobile/desktop compatibility for quick edits

These features do make the A1 Drone an excellent tool for vloggers, adventurers, and filmmakers.

Pros and Cons: Is the Antigravity A1 Worth Your Investment?

No gear is perfect. Now it’s time to balance the scales in this Insta360 Antigravity A1 review. As we’ve flown prototypes extensively, drawing from real-world tests to highlight what shines – and what could use tweaks.

Pros

  • Beginner Bliss: Out thenewcamera.com team was lucky to get hands on an early prototype of the drone – our newbie drone-virgin tester nailed pro chase shots in under five minutes, easy to handle. That clearly means for beginners, it’s a perfect 360 drone..
  • Immersive Freedom: The Insta 360 Goggles delivers an excellent Superman POV (perspective to the pilot of the drone), Kinda of FPV thrill; Best part is you can explore 360 views mid-flight without directional limits.
  • Post-Flight Magic: Reframe anything – that’s the best part you will experience while editing the insta 360 Antigravity A1 footage – unlocking shots impossible on standard drones.
  • Portable Powerhouse: Lightweight, quiet, foldable; perfect for travel
  • Fun Factor: Editing is a blast, with AI tools making Hollywood effects accessible to all.

Cons

  • Zoom Trade-Offs: The 360 footage loses sharpness when reframed tightly; best at 1080p for social, not 4K billboards.
  • Speed Limits: Prototype flies steady, not that many manoeuvre,s like the real FPV users may still prefer Avata style drones
  • Motion Sickness Risk: It’s a bit unusual that Extended sessions in goggles can induce nausea, especially for VR newbies.

What Reviewers Are Saying: Expert Conclusions on the Antigravity A1

We’ve scoured the web for Antigravity A1 review verdicts from trusted outlets. We have collected the conclusions – direct quotes to cut through the noise:

The Verge: “Even if the Antigravity A1 doesn’t wind up being a winner, I’m now convinced DJI and competitors will follow. But for others, this fundamentally feels like a different and potentially easier way to fly and film.” They hail it as a category disruptor, praising omnidirectional capture for “thrilling” post-flight discoveries.

CNET: “It was an intuitive experience, but I felt a slight motion sickness toward the end of my test flight. Overall, I succeeded in not crashing and capturing video, my two primary goals when flying the drone for the first time.” A win for FPV rookies, blending Wii-like fun with pro results.

Gizmodo: “After using this 360 drone, I’ll never look at flying cameras the same way again… The A1 drone is unique, and novelty often comes at a cost. But let’s be frank, there’s nothing else like the Antigravity A1.” They call it “DJI’s Worst Nightmare,” for its immersive edge over traditional rigs.

Tom’s Guide: “For consumers, newbies and content creators, the A1 could be a game-changer… I can’t see a way back from 360 drones now.” Enthusiastic about its accessibility, predicting an “arms race” in consumer skies.

Final Verdict: Should You Pre-Order the Insta360 Antigravity A1?

The Antigravity A1 is an outstanding and highly innovative product made by Insta360; it’s their best shot; it’s just like a Flying Insta360 X5 Camera. It not only creates highly quality 360 videos and delivers an unforgettable experience while ur using VR  goggles. In this comprehensive Insta360 Antigravity A1 review, we’ve seen a drone that doesn’t just fly – it captures everything in 8K with full colours and details. Score: 4.5/5 stars – deducting half for polish needed before January 2026.

Nikon Finally Adds a Premium Lens for DX Mirrorless Cameras: The NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/2.8 VR Arrives

In a long-awaited move for APS-C photographers, Nikon has officially announced the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/2.8 VR—its first constant-aperture f/2.8 zoom lens designed specifically for DX-format Mirroless

For the first time, Nikon has announced such a professional-level Jio lens for their DX-format line of cameras. The lens will allow photographers to capture clear images, even in low-light scenarios, due to its maximum aperture of 2.8, which is constant throughout the Zoom range at the very same time. The lens also features optical image stabilisation, so, with the help of the 2 photographers using DX bodies like the Nikon Z 50 or Z 30, they can now fearlessly capture images in low-light scenarios with mirrorless cameras.

If you’re searching for the best APS-C mirrorless lens to pair with your Nikon Z DX body, this could be the game-changer you’ve been waiting for. Let’s dive into why the Nikon 16-50mm f/2.8 VR is set to redefine standard zooms for crop-sensor shooters.

Available at $896 at B&H Store

Why the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/2.8 VR is a Game-Changer for Nikon DX Users

To be very honest, Nikon users were waiting for such a constant-aperture zoom in the DX category of lenses for a very long time after the arrival of the mirrorless cameras. The Nikon Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR is highly reliable but lacks the brightness and creative flexibility of an f/2.8 optic. Enter the new NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/2.8 VR, engineered for artistic expression with:

  • Constant f/2.8 Aperture: To get maximum out of the Focal length, and excellent creamy bokeh @50mm F2.8. 16-50mm range, perfect for portraits, street photography, and indoor events.
  • 5-Stop Vibration Reduction (VR): As we have mentioned in the post, we have two big advantages for low light photography, the first one is F2.8 aperture through the zoom range, and the other is VR (Optical image stabilisation) — 5.5 Stops of OIS tested to CIPA standards with the Nikon Z50II.
  • Compact and Lightweight Design: At just 330g and 88mm long, it’s so lightweight noe table to believe how they have created such a light body for the lens while having such a heavy performing optical lens elements inside.
  • Advanced Optics: One ED glass element and two aspherical lenses minimise chromatic aberrations and deliver sharp, colour-accurate images from edge to edge.
  • Video-Optimised Features: Stepping motor (STM) for silent autofocus, suppressed focus breathing, and Hi-Res Zoom compatibility on the Z50II (extending to 100mm equivalent in 1080p modes while keeping f/2.8).

This is one of Nikon’s major announcements in 2025, specifically related to the DX format categories of cameras

Full Technical Specifications of the Nikon 16-50mm f/2.8 VR DX Lens

For those geeking out over specs, here’s a breakdown of what makes this Nikon APS-C zoom lens tick:

Best Canon camera under $500 in 2025: Which One Beats the Rest

DJI Pocket 4 Coming in 2025 [Confirmed]

Coming in 2025 image

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Rumors have been making rounds on the web for more than a month. Recent leaks from authentic sources have painted a picture of a major redesign, that we have already seen the dual-camera setups and sleeker ergonomics. However, a trusted industry source has dropped exclusive insights, and according to him  DJI Pocket 4 camera is coming in 2025,  with a standout focus on superior zoom capabilities—and crucially, one that diverges significantly from the leaked images and rumors circulating online.

Our source, which has deep ties to DJI’s supply chain and specifically the development pipeline of DJI products, emphasizes authenticity and NDA-level confidentiality. If these details hold, the Pocket 4 could redefine portable zoom for creators, potentially opting for a streamlined single-module approach over the dual-lens hype.  In this in-depth analysis, we’ll clarify what we know and don’t know so far, related to the DJI Pocket 4

DJI Pocket 4 Arrival Date: Coming in November-December 2025

Multiple Sources have confirmed that the DJI Pocket 4 is coming in 2025. Yes, DJI does have a Backup plan, or better to say, brand Xtra Muse, but for now, they are very much sure about the arrival of Pocket 4 in 2025.

DJI will be announcing one more Pocket 4 Style camera (Pocket 4 PRO ) in Q4 of 2025: Q4 is much more certain here, not before that.

Camera Module Design

We have already seen different prototypes of the upcoming camera. Please take a look at all three before we proceed

pocket 4 more image

  1. Left side of the image shared by a Chinese (webio) source who has actually received the production line version of the pocket 4 camera, but the camera module isn’t visible in the first image
  2. 2nd image is of a Prototype shared by the most trusted DJI leaker, Igor Bogdanov @Quadro_News, and recently, he has also shared DJI Pocket 4 NDA screenshots

Pocket 4 back

None of the images has been shared with people who received the Actual Pocket 4 Production line version recently. We have to wait for that before we jump to an early conclusion, specifically, which prototype has been selected for the production line

Canon R100 V: Price, Specs & Release Date Expectations

Canon R100V

We need a Canon R50 V-style video-oriented update for the R100 Series, which will allow entry-level users to create content with a dedicated Mirrorless camera, all for under $650 with a kit lens.  In this article, we’ll dive into our expectations for the R100V based on industry trends for creating a separate video line of cameras apart from Hybrid line, Like we have the Nikon ZR series, just being introduced by Nikon, we do have Sony ZV Series from past 3 to 4 years, and an lot of camera has been introduced under ZV series, and how we can forgot Canon, the No.1 Mirrorless maker in the world also has an dedicated V series, where we already have Canon R50V, V10 (Compact) and not only these two we are also expecting its expansion in Fullframe lineup of camera with Canon R8V and so on.

Why Canon R100V?

None of the camera makers can provide a Mirrorless camera for vlogging under $600 $650 range; they have failed in the mirrorless era to provide us with a budget solution. Only Canon with the Canon R100 series camera, which is now highly popular among entry-level users for its price and features.

Canon R100 is an excellent Hybrid Photography tool, but it fails to serve the Content creator consumer base due to its fixed Display unit. And limited Video functionality, like Crop in 4k 24FPS mode.

We do need a Canon R100V Camera, that falls under a reasonable price tag and should appeal to a wider audience, those who are looking for a camera specifically young age kids, college students, but they end up buying alternative vlog making tools like DJI Pocket 2, Action 4 or 5, or budget-friendly smartphones that they can do their Job.

Logical evolutions from the original R100. Expect a camera that builds modestly on its predecessor, incorporating subtle improvements like a vari-angle display for easier vlogging and selfies, while skipping luxuries like an electronic viewfinder (EVF) to keep the price down. Let’s break it down by specifications, price, and anticipated arrival date.

Canon R100 V creative concept image

Canon R100V: Expected Specifications: Keeping It Simple and Affordable

The Canon R100V is poised to take the lead in the entry-level vlogging market, provided it arrives with a reasonable price tag and specifications that appeal to entry-level content creators. Although not as advanced as the R50V, it should be usable enough to create stunning content within budget. This means no over-the-top features that could inflate production costs, echoing the original R100’s no-frills approach. Here’s what we anticipate:

  • Sensor and Processor: A 24.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, similar to the R100,
  • Digic X / Digic 8  image processor: Even Digic 8 is capable of recording 4k 30FPS uncropped and 60FPS cropped, no need for update, since Canon M6 Mark II, announced back in 2019, was using a Higher resolution sensor of 32.5 MP and Digic 8 Image processor, so Digic 8 processor is more than enough if used properly without capping up the performance.
  • Autofocus System: We already have Dual Pixel CMOS AF with around 143 AF zones and Eye Detection AF, in the Canon R100, no need to push AF upgrade in an entry-level camera.
  • Video Capabilities: Improved over the R100 but still restrained.
    • 4K video at up to 24p / 30p, Uncropped
    • . Full HD would top out at 60p for slow-motion.
    • No Canon Log (C-Log) support to keep the color grading simple for beginners, and the video would be
    • limited to 10-bit HDR PQ mode only—
    • No 10-bit internal recording in other profiles.
    • This positions it below the R50V’s uncropped 4K 30p and more robust video toolkit.
  • Display and Viewfinder: A 3-inch vari-angle LCD touchscreen for Vlogging angles, a good update over the R100’s fixed screen,
  • No EVF, just like the R100, to save manufacturing cost on components and maintain a compact, lightweight body (expected around 356g).
  • No Need for
  • Shooting Speed: Continuous shooting at 6.5 fps with electronic shutter
  • Connectivity and Battery: Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for easy app integration via Canon’s Camera Connect, plus a UHS-I SD card slot.
  • Battery life around 450 shots per charge, using the same LP-E17 as the R100.
  • Other Features: RF-S mount compatibility for affordable lenses, guided user interfaces for beginners, and basic in-camera editing. No weather sealing or advanced stabilisation to keep the build economical

Just by adding a Var-angle touchscreen for new users and removing EVF to cut down the cost, will make this camera perfect for content creators, but don’t underestimate the power of DIGIC 8 image processor, as we have seen in an 2019 EOS M6 II model, the image processor can alson do wonders as we have said used without any caping on performance level.

Expected Arrival Date: 2026?

Canon’s pattern of refreshing entry-level models every 2-3 years from the DSLR era, the Canon R100 was announced back in May 2023. Now, if they wish to introduce the Canon R100 V, Q1 or Q2 of 2026 will be a perfect time. A Canon R100V version will make a new consumer base for Canon, which is highly essential for Canon to retain in top position, if it can get connected with users who are beginner level.

In summary, the Canon R100V shapes up as a thoughtful evolution: better video and a vari-angle screen to modernize the R100, but with deliberate limitations to stay under the R50V’s shadow and maintain that sub-$500 appeal. We urge Canon USA (www.usa.canon.com) to announce an entry-level vlogging camera for beginners under budget,  so beginners can enjoy vlogging in a camera under budget.

You can watch out for upcoming teasers on the Amazon.com DJI official store page or the DJI official USA website for the Action 6. Stock is expected to arrive at retailers, such as Amazon, soon after the official announcement. Rumoured Specs: A 1-Inch Sensor and 8K Video Powerhouse

According to the latest rumours, the DJI Osmo Action 6 will feature a 1-inch sensor for extended dynamic range and more latitude in video files for extracting details in shadows and highlights. The other big advantage we get from having a large sensor is improved low-light performance. Resolution-wise wise we will have an 8k 30fps Video recording mode and 4k at higher frame rates for smooth slow-motion footage

Other leaked specs include:

  • Battery Life: A bigger 1950mAh battery backup allows you to record up to over 4 hours of 4K recording,
  • Stabilisation: Enhanced RockSteady+ with AI-assisted horizon levelling
  • Connectivity: Built-in integration with Garmin and Apple Watch for real-time fitness tracking and data overlays.
  • Design: Waterproof to 20m without a case, dual touchscreens, and improved controls for glove-friendly operation

One of the standout features rumored for the DJI Action 6 is its enhanced connectivity with the smartwatch you wear, so pairing up with a smartwatch will give you seamless extra control and data syncing during activities. Exclusive leaked images show the DJI Osmo Action 6 pairing up with a smartwatch, and you can clearly see the display showing “Osmo Action 6” on the watch screen.

Leaks and Images: What We’ve Seen So Far

Pricing and Availability

The DJI Action 6 will have very competitive pricing. Take a look at the expected price range of the camera:

  • Standard Combo: $329-$429 (includes camera, basic mounts, and one battery).
  • Adventure Combo: $479-$579 (adds extra batteries, protective case, and rugged mounts).

Well, DJI is rocking right now with its DJI Mini 5 Pro announcement, and just after that, we will have the DJI Osmo Nano on September 23, and finally, just after a few weeks or so, we will have the Action 6 camera around October 24, 2025. And all of these are not incremental updates – all these products coming one after another from DJI feature major upgrades inside them
