A PDR (photography dynamic range) ranking report made by photos to photos website and believe me, reading the entire report is really very interesting. As usual, the report is full of very well capable and costly cameras. But one of the most eye-catching things in this entire report is the presence of Canon 6D(ML) with amazing dynamic range test scores, and surprisingly the PDR test score of these cameras is even better than the Fuji film GFX 50S medium format camera, not only that, you will find several other full-frame cameras below them which include Nikon Z6 Mark II, Z9, and the Sony Alpha A1.
How did they reach the top of the list since Canon DSLRs cameras are known for having less than average Dynamic Range than others in the market before the mirrorless era arrived? if you look at the report it’s really surprising how these DSLRs cameras are beating up today’s latest full-frame and medium format in the list.

I am not encouraging anyone here to use the magic lantern firmware for Canon DSLR cameras to boost up their dynamic range. But it’s also important to shootout for the work done by the magiclantern.fm team, so we are able to witness the level of dynamic range coming out from these all DSLR cameras which was never possible with the original Canon made firmware.
I will just request to Canon and their team member reading this article, they must collaborate with these brilliant engineers who have modified the image and video decoding algorithms of the DSLR camera and their ability to dig out the maximum image quality possible from these old sensors. If they are able to collaborate with these guys, just think about the level of image quality we will be getting in upcoming Canon mirrorless cameras in near future.

As we all know the Sony ZV-E10 is not available at many places, even at the time I am writing this article the Sony ZV-E10 is out of stock, and its expected availability wrote 2-4 months at least. So, in this article, we have tried to pick up the best alternatives for the Sony ZV-E10 camera
1. Best Canon cameras for Vlogging 2022
1. Canon EOS M50 Mark II – The Canon M50 Mark II is the nearest sibling of the Sony ZV-E10 camera. The only major disadvantage is the absence of a proper 4k video recording mode. Photography wise both camera features a 24MP sensor and an amazing AF system with tracking.

And when the screen is tilted it’s not so feasible to add an external microphone so you have to use a small ring (option 1 and option 2) tool to set up your microphone on the side of the camera.

I am not going to say it’s a perfect alternative to the Sony zv 10 cameras since it doesn’t create over-sample 4k video like it, but yeah it does create quality videos and with the proper lens you can get an amazing result from this camera too.
2. Best Fuji Camera for Vlogging 2022
In Fuji, the Fuji XT 200 camera is discontinued in the USA and Europe but is still available in the Asian region. so, if the Fuji X-T200 is available you can buy that too. And in the absence of the Fuji X-T200 camera. The only option left after that is the Fuji X-S10. And we also have the recently announced Fuji xt30 mark 2, but the Fuji X-T30 Mark II failed to impress me and I am not including it in my recommendation list since we have a very less price difference between the pretty xt30 mark 2 and the Fuji X-S10. So, it’s better to have a camera with a vari-angle display screen and built-in sensor-shift images stabilization system
3. Best Nikon Cameras for Vlogging
Nikon z50 is also a very good vlogging camera the only downside is the screen move in the downward direction. And if you are using a Gorillapod or a flexible tripod for vlogging the display will be blocked. So, to overcome that you have to use a small rig to fix the issue. All the having display in the downward side is not a major issue since when you are creating video blocks you are looking at the screen not in the camera display the display on the help you to frame your setup but it’s not always useful to look at the display and create content.
4. Best Compact Camera For Vlogging

 Don’t get driven by the poster image, read the article briefly before jumping to any decision Canon 90d camera is not coming under my recommendation from the past 1 year. So, let’s talk about why I am keeping off Canon 90D From My Recommendation list
1. DSLR Cannibalization
As we all know, both DSLR giants are into DSLR cannibalization mode. I have read many times and I am going to link those articles to that canon and has completely stopped research and development on Canon DSLR lenses and cameras. And they have also discontinued many EOS Lenses to make space in the production line for the new RF Lenses. From 2018, all the major DSLR announcements from these two DSLR giants are all-most halted, and the DSLR schedule updates are also altered.
2. Process of Transition and absence of perfect product
Both DSLR giants are in the process of transition and they are taking their time. The best thing we can do right now is to give them a proper time of transition.
3. Confusion about regaining Versatility
In Canon, we do know that Mirrorless is the future, but no one knows that Canon will continue its EF-M Mount (announced back in 2012) or will introduce a new RF-Mount APS-C camera. Since we have no Sync between the EF and EF-M Mount due to the flange distance issue, and if you look around no other camera maker has such issue in the mirrorless lineup of cameras. We do have a high possibility in near future to regain the versatility of 1-Mount they will bring out RF Mount APS-C Mirrorless cameras.
So, if Canon regains its versatility and announces an RF-Mount-based APS-C System camera in near future then for sure the EF-M Mount has to face cannibalization just like DSLRs.
4. Delay in announcement
As you can see we have multiple mirrorless cameras from Canon in the professional range that include Canon EOS R6, Canon EOS R5 (R5c) as well Canon EOS R3. And rumors suggest, the Canon EOS R1 camera is to be announced this year. But for semi-professional users, we have the Canon EOS R, Rp both for now highly outdated and need a desperate update.
Now let’s talk about Canon 90D in 2022
1. For Casual Shooters and Videographers
If you want to buy this camera for casual photography and video it’s completely ok to have this camera even in the year 2022.
The word Casusual Photography or videography means you will not going to invest too much money in the lenses or accessories relates to the Canon 90D DSLR camera.
2. For Semi-Professionals and serious enthusiastic cinematographers, pro content creators
When a professional buy a camera he or she has to invest a lot in lenses as well as in other camera-related accessories, and when we clearly know the DSLR giants are in transition mode the DSLR will become obsolete soon then why invest a huge amount in DSLR body or lenses? Better to wait for a perfect option or switch to a different brand.
3. Before Buying Canon 90D camera you must read this
A must-read for photographers: If you planning to buy can a 90d camera in the year 2022 and if you are a professional or semi-professional photographer then you must read this before buying the camera. As we all know the Canon 90d camera features a 32-megapixel high-resolution sensor and the pixel per inch density of the Canon 90d camera is even denser than the Canon 5D SR camera. We also know that with Canon 5D and Canon 5D SR camera canon issued a list of recommended lenses to be used with these cameras to properly resolve the sensor resolution, but with the Canon 90D camera we do not have any list like that. Canon 90D PPI Ratio is much denser and for that Camera also requires high-quality optics to properly resolve the sensor resolution. My only recommendation to Photographers, if they are willing to buy Canon 90D camera in near future they must invest in high-quality optics to get the maximum quality out of their camera.
A must-read for videographers and cinematographers
If you are a videographer cinematographer you must know that Canon 90d camera is not using full sensor resolution to generate 4K video files. Canon never mentions the 90D camera is using an over-sampling algorithm to generate 4K files. That clearly indicates to compensate for it the camera is using either pixel winning or line skipping algorithm. So for sure, the details will be less in canon 90ds 4K file compared to Sony is 6400 or Sony Z10 camera or any Nikon Z50 or Fuji X-S10
So Canon 90d can be used for casual videography purposes or maybe even for Casual YouTube content creation when you actually don’t require too many details or latitude in your video file but for professional work or even for professional content creation or cinematography I will recommend you to have a camera that over samples their sensor is resolution to create 4K file.
4. Best Alternatives of Canon 90D

For Photographers: Nikon Z5 (amazon.com | B&H Store) is one of the best alternatives of Canon 90d camera for photographers out there, Nikon Z5 camera uses a full-frame CMOS sensor and also has an inbuilt sensor-shift image stabilization system. If you want to shoot higher-quality images it’s better to have Nikon Z5 camera with a full-frame sensor instead of having a crop body.

For Hybrids: Fuji X-S10 is also a great alternative to a 90d camera since the camera features a class-leading 26 megapixels-Trans CMOS Sensor and a built-in image stabilization system. The camera record over samples 4K videos and create high-quality still images.

Evolved Image Quality for Photos and Videos
The FE PZ 16-35MM F4 G offers an extraordinary blend of breathtaking resolution and beautiful bokeh in a lightweight, compact lens. The optical path includes two AA (advanced aspherical) elements and a conventional aspherical element for an accurate image across the frame and 16-35mm zoom range. One Super ED (extra-low dispersion), and one ED glass element control chromatic aberration, while one ED aspherical element controls both chromatic and spherical aberration.

With Sony’s flagship Alpha 1 body it is possible to maintain accurate focus while shooting stills continuously at up to 30fps (frames per second)[ii] and up to 120fps in movie mode.

The FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G works with Alpha cameras[iv] to reliably focus, and smoothly and silently track even fast-moving subjects. Advanced Features for Video Including a New Power Zoom Function
Based on feedback from leading creators, Sony specifically designed the FE PZ 16-35MM F4 G to deliver the refined imagery and control for today’s video needs. It features the latest lens technology to reduce focus breathing as well as focus and axial shift when zooming to ensure the highest quality video is easily captured. Focus, zoom, and aperture operation are also extremely quiet, greatly reducing noise and vibration that can interfere with movie recording.
For the first time in a Sony Alpha lens the FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G uses four XD linear motors for the power zoom function in addition to the two XD linear motors used for focus. With this newly designed electronic power zoom system, the FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G provides advanced control with the response and immediacy of non-powered manual zoom. It features both a zoom ring and a zoom lever with variable zoom speed that makes it easy to execute super-slow, fast or constant-speed change in focal length. Power zoom also minimizes camera shake or movement that can occur when operating a traditional zoom ring, and when used with compatible cameras, users can customize the zoom ring direction to suit shooting conditions. Zoom can also be controlled with the zoom lever on compatible cameras. Remote operation is also possible when using the Imaging Edge™ Mobile app[v].

 We have recently published the overheating issue of the Sony A7 4 camera just after that we got the Canon R5C camera news.
On March 18 Canon Australia published a press release. In that press release, they have clearly written some of the models they have sold before March 21 2022 have some manufacturing defects in the autofocus. Due to that manufacturing defect, the camera may repeatedly go in and out of focus in movie mode.
So customers who have purchased the camera on or before March 21, 2022, are requested to return their camera to their authorized retailers and Canon will organize a replacement for them.
initially, it looks like the issue is limited to Canon Australia only.

We are getting a lot of comments and emails from our users related to the Sony A7 IV heating problem. So, in this article, we will discuss the possible fix for the Sony A7 IV heating issue.
The most common question we get
- If the Sony A7S 3 and Sony A7 4 use the same heat sink unit then why does the A74 camera get overheat quickly?
- I am using Sony A73 camera, never faced overheating issues like I am facing in Sony A74 ?
- My Sony A6400 never gets heated while recording 4k, then why A7 IV get shutoff after 20 min?
Answer: you have to understand that A7 IV does oversample from a 33 MP Sensor / it record oversampled 7k+ file for obtaining highest quality possible. Sony A6400 camera does oversample from a 24MP sensor and manages heat and Sony A73 camera also does the same. And finally, the A7s 3 uses a 12 MP (perfect resolution for 4k video) sensor that doesn’t need to oversample or downsample files. Due to the high-resolution sensor and heat-sink unit of the Sony A7s3 camera the overheating issue is coming, Sony needs to implement a better heat-sink system inside Sony A7 4 camera compared to the A7S3.
Sony A7 IV Overheating Fix
The simple methods that will fix the overheating problem of the Sony A7 IV camera are. Keep the display screen away from the camera body, it helps to dissipate heat much faster.
1. Power Setting options (Recommended)
Power Setting option (9) > Auto Power OFF Temp. > High. This is the most important set to increase the threshold of the camera. After selecting High, yes the camera body will get overheated but the camera will keep recording to the maximum extent possible.
2. Sony A7 IV File Format Settings (Recommended)
Select XAVC HS 4K mode, the big reason behind the selection the mode uses H.265 codec for compression, and the file size is approx 2x smaller than the file size we get in H.264 codes. And one of the major advantages we get after selecting this mode we are also getting roughly 2X more recording time with the camera. The only know issue with this model is the frame rates are fixed at 4K 60fps.
3. Movie Settings (Optional)
Once you have selected the XAVC HS 4k mode, Movie Settings > Record Settings > 150M 4:2:0 8bit. If you will select the 8bit recording mode it will create less pressure in the image processor of the camera resulting in less heat generation.
4. Proxy Recording Off (optional)
Keep your proxy Recording Setting off
5. Invest in CF Express Cards (Highly Recommended)
Regular SD Cards tend to generate more heat, better to invest in a CF-express SD card for recording HQ video from Sony A7 IV.

According to the latest rumors, Fuji X-H2 will be using a 26 MP X-Trans BSI CMOS Sensor paired with a new image processor. At the moment we don’t know its a new sensor or the old one, but according to rumors, the camera will have a brand new image processor to upscale the video performance when compared to Fuji X-T4.
Earlier it was told that the camera will arrive with a new 40MP sensor and will also have 8k recording capabilities.
