Nikon D610 vs Nikon D800 Specification comparison review, take a look at the specification comparison review of both the camera below.
Sensor and low-light performance: Nikon D800 features more resolution compared to Nikon D610 DSLR (24 MP vs 36 MP) but the Sensor size remains same (35.9 X 24mm), it’s obvious that Nikon D800 photodiodes are small compared to Nikon D610, hence the D610 will give Slightly better low-light performance compared to Nikon D800.
Advance AF System in Nikon D800: Nikon D800 features advance AF system with 51 AF points and 15 cross-type focus points on the other side we have Nikon D610 with 39 AF points and 9 cross-type focus points.
Shutter Range: I never used shutter speed more than 1/4000.
Nikon D800 need better lighting condition and high quality of lenses to bring out the 100% details from the sensor.
Form the specification comparison table we can clearly see that Nikon D800 is a Megapixel monster that also features advance AF system and better shutter range compared to Nikon D610. But the Nikon D610 DSLR is affordable and also give Slightly better low-light performance compared to Nikon D800 , the body of D610 will cost is approx $2K and the D800 body cost is approx $2.7K.
Verdict: For entry level users we recommend you to buy Nikon D610 DSLR.

Nikon D610 announced few days ago, As we have said earlier there are no major difference between these camera, take a look below at specification comparison table,
As you can see there is no major difference between these two camera, both shares same core specification and body design.
After a quick research and reading detailed specification + press release of both the camera we found that…
1. Oil issue solved
2. New “Quiet continuous” mode is introduced – After activating the silent continuous shooting mode you can capture 3 fps with limited mechanical noise.
3. Improved white balance with D610
Verdict: New users should buy Nikon D610 camera but we never recommend D600 users to spend $2K and buy the same camera, D600 users should wait for D620 (OR D610 successor).
