DJI Osmo Pocket 4 First Image Leaked: Rumored Price, Specifications, and Expected Arrival

Pocket 4 image leaked

Finally, the first image of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera leaked, and we have it too. In this article, we are going to discuss about the rumoured price of the camera, specifications and expected arrival timeline. The handheld gimbal camera is very much popular among content creators, and specifically in the video camera category, it has been grabbing almost 50% of the entire market share, specifically in Japan.

The Pocket 3 was announced back in 2023, and at the time of announcement, it raised the bar with a 1-inch CMOS sensor, 4K 120 FPS video recording, support of D-Log M and 10-bit options for having higher latitude in shadows and highlight areas. Well, this was our Pocket 3 or smoke way ahead of its time.

The first leaked image of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera

In the first image of the Osmo Pocket 4 camera, we have a very clear view of the branding Pocket 4, obviously, it is being held by someone with a kind of green background. The good thing is that the form factor of the camera looks very similar and compact compared to the previous generation Pocket 3.

The same image is being surfaced and circulating in Chinese social media forums. From the image, the device looks like an early prototype stage when the image was captured, so the unofficial teaser confirms its development, but will it arrive in 2025, or will the announcement be shifted to 2026? We are going to discuss over that after the specification part.

Rumored Specifications

Core specifications, which are already floating over the internet across many websites, say the upcoming DJI Pocket 4 camera will have the same 12-megapixel sensor and 4K video recording up to 240 frames per second. The specifications also say the upcoming Pocket 4 will have a slightly larger display screen of 2.5 inches and will weigh approximately 190 grams.

Will Pocket 4 also get an 8K sensor in the near future?

The upcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera will likely have an 8K-capable 1-inch sensor inside it. Why 8K sensor inside the Pocket 4? Is it possible? DJI is already using dual 1-inch sensors paired with dual lenses in the recently announced Osmo 360 camera ($549), which is able to record 8K 30 FPS of dual stream video simultaneously, as well as dual 4K 120 FPS video. The Osmo 360 is not only recording these dual streams 8K or 4K 120fps, it is also processing inside it, merging it to create a perfect 360 video for the users, while maintaining overheating very effectively.

DJI Osmo Pocket 360 camera has already demonstrated the ability to integrate higher resolution 1-inch sensors in small compact devices. And DJI is known for progressive upgrades, for example, the sensor size from 1/1.7 inch was shifted and increased to 1 inch in Pocket 3, so that was a big improvement in the sensor size of the camera, resulting in excellent low-light videos. Now the next logical step is towards higher resolutions like 6K or 8K for the Pocket 4, specifically targeting professional content creators, solo storytellers. Giving an excellent option/alternative compared to the new generation iPhone 17 cameras.

The recent leak related to the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera has revived the DJI 2025 rumors, which also include the Mini 5 Pro, which we are covering from its beginning, and also the Avata 3. All these rumored models show DJI’s aggressive push in compact cameras in recent months.

LEAPTIC Action Camera: Expected Price, Leaked Specification and Image

Leaptic action camera

Thenewcamera.com exclusive report: Dream Technology, a brand that is already making home appliances now entered into the action camera market, and their first camera is the LEAPTIC. The LEAPTIC looks very similar to the DJI Osmo Nano, which is about to be released soon. The design of the camera looks very much innovative, and you can see the modular camera with an external display attached and the camera itself has an OLED display on the rear side, so overall it looks like a versatile POV-based action camera made for content creators.

LEAPTIC Action Camera price and availability

As of August 2025, at the time I am writing this article, the exact price has not been disclosed by the camera maker. Announcement of the camera is expected in September – October 2025, with a price tag of approximately $249 – $349 for the base model. The bundles, including different accessories like a magnetic mount or additional storage space, will cost you slightly more as per the package you select.

LEAPTIC Action Specification

Let’s discuss the set of specifications we have about this upcoming camera:

  • Camera: 12MP CMOS sensor, capable of recording 4K video at 60fps and 1080p at 120fps for smooth slow-motion footage.
  • Field of View (FOV): Ultra-wide 155° FOV
  • Design: Magnetic split dual-screen system, with a detachable camera module and a secondary touchscreen module for vlogging.
  • Weight and Size: Ultra-lightweight at approximately 35g (camera module only)
  • Waterproofing: IP68 rating, waterproof up to 10 meters without a case, similar to the DJI Action 2.
  • Stabilization: Advanced electronic image stabilization with proprietary technology, potentially branded as Dream Technology’s.
  • Storage: Options for 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB internal storage, with no external microSD slot (similar to Insta360 Go series).
  • Battery: Approximately 1 hour of recording with the dual-screen module attached; extended battery modules may be available.
  • Connectivity: Built-in Wi-Fi for app integration and live streaming, compatible with a dedicated DreamTech app.
  • Additional Features: Adjustable filters, timelapse, 8x slow-motion, and AI-enhanced editing capabilities.

The LEAPTIC’s specs position it as a direct competitor to the Insta360 Go 3S and DJI Osmo Nano, with a focus on portability and ease of use.

For editing or transferring the videos to your iOS Apple smartphone or iPads, or if you want to transfer it to Android devices, the company has developed a DreamTech app. The app also offers AI-powered editing tools that include quick video cuts, transitions, and effects, and even some added AI animation features which include a text flow motion. All these initial tools are highly helpful for social media content creators.

Recent News and Market Impact

So the Dream Technology’s latest entry into the action camera market is of course creating a lot of buzz. The DreamTech app specifically focuses on affordability and innovation. They have sold many of their innovative robotic designs during CES 2025, but that’s another thing. As a camera maker this is their first action camera, and we do hope and expect they will introduce more camera ranges soon.

Dream Technology LEAPTIC Action camera is really an exciting edition and looks very much similar to the upcoming DJI Osmo Nano camera. Its magnetic split dual-screen design also looks very similar to the DJI Osmo Nano, so it will be really interesting to compare them side by side and see which one does the best job. Apart from all this, I am really very much excited and happy to see so much competition in the new-age action cameras.

Stay tuned on thenewcamera.com for updates on LEAPTIC launch and hands-on reviews.

DJI Mini 5 Pro Retail Box Leaked

DJI Mini 5 Pro Retail Box Leaked

So, this is a Bombshell Leak and it created a big surprise, now we have the retail box image of the DJI Mini 5 Pro, revealing the most advanced sub 249 gram Drone yet, or better to say best ever sub 249g drone built by DJI. The DJI next-generation Mini drone’s fresh image shows, Fly More Combo Plus bundle with the DJI RC 2 controller. So the release is about to happen, and it’s imminent; at the very same time, it also reveals key features of the upcoming drone.
if you are looking and searching for the DJI Mini 5 Pro Leak, specification, price, and release dat,e you have come to the right place, and we are going to exclusively break down everything in detail.

the box details

What the DJI Mini 5 Pro Retail Box Leak Reveals

The leaked photo shows a very sleek and white as well as genuine box, emblazoned with “DJI Mini 5 Pro” in bold lettering, and on the box, you can clearly see the DJI Mini 5 Pro image itself, featuring a kind of folded design with a camera gimbal, as we have shown you in our leaked images earlier. Most importantly, next to it is the DJI RC 2 smart remote controller, the remote control has an integrated display while showcasing a kind of scenic mountain landscape on the screen.

On the box, it has been very clearly written “FLY MORE COMBO PLUS / DJI RC 2 / BUNDLE FLY MORE PLUS (DJI RC 2)” which obviously indicates the retail box packaging is of a premium bundle package. Based on the DJI Fly More Combo that we have already seen in the past with several drones, the package includes extra/additional Intelligent Flight Batteries (including the rumoured Battery Plus for extended flight times), a two-way charging hub, spare propellers, and possibly ND filters for professional videography.

The inclusion of the DJI RC 2 remote controller, alongside the bright high resolution display screen, suggests the Mini 5 Pro is geared towards more serious creators and professionals, those who are looking for a sub-249 g Drone with professional capabilities and controls.

How This Leak Ties Into Previous DJI Mini 5 Pro Rumours

The retail box adds up to our extensive coverage over the DJI Mini 5 Pro at thenewcamera.com, where we have covered in detail everything related to the leaked animations, pricing, and specifications, as well as multiple images of the drone. Earlier reports suggested that Mini 5 Pro will feature a large 1-inch CMOS sensor and a massive update from the 1/1.3 inch Mini 4 Pro chip, as well as the capability to record 4K videos up to 120 frames per second, 5.4K videos up to 30 frames per second and superior low light performance with higher latitude in videos, for capturing details in shadows and highlights,  for professional colour grading.

Key Specifications of the DJI Mini 5 Pro [Confirmed]

  • Video 4K/60fps HDR · 4K/120fps
  • Gimbal Rotation 225° · True vertical
  • Transmission O4+ · up to 20 km (FCC)
  • Flight time Up to 36 min (smart battery) or 52 min (Plus battery)
  • LiDAR detection + omnidirectional vision
  • C0 certification by default (EU)
  • 50 MP 1″ CMOS sensor and f/1.8 aperture — better low-light performance.
  • 4K/60fps HDR video (up to 14 dynamic stops in Auto) and 4K/120fps for slow-motion.
  • 10-bit recording (H.265) and D-Log M and HLG modes for advanced post-production.
  • True vertical shooting + gimbal with 225° rotation for creative shots.
  • Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing with LiDAR and vision sensors.
  • Improved 360° ActiveTrack (Standard and Cycling modes) with tracking up to 15 m/s in open environments.
  • O4+ 10-bit video transmission and up to 20 km in range (FCC mode). Persistent Bluetooth for fast pairing.
  • Flight time with smart (normal) battery: up to 36 minutes.

Now we also have the pricing of the upcoming DJI Mini 5 Drone, and for that, you have to pay $799–$899 USD, with the Fly More Combo (like the one in this box) around $1,099–$1,199 USD. Although we are expecting a bit higher price tag, initial reports suggest it will be in this very same range. The release date rumours are heating up, and many of the sources suggest its September 2025 announcement, and in that very September month, the DJI Mini 4 Pro will also complete its two-year refresh cycle.

Why This DJI Mini 5 Pro Leak Matters for Drone Buyers

Now, with this authentic official box Leak, it confirms the DJI Mini 5 Pro as a game-changer Drone for the underweight category. It is a must-have Drone for travel photographers, vloggers and hobbyists. Why? Because in a sub 249 gram design while keeping the ultra-portability form factor, the Drone packs a large 1-inch sensor and LiDAR that could rival larger drones like the Mavic series. However, questions remain: Will it maintain the “less than 249g” label? The answer is obviously yes, since the image that we have published in our previous post clearly shows the C0 certification label that ensures no FAA registration or remote ID is required. But, you still have to take care of yourself and your Drone while you are adding the bundled Plus batteries, which will extend the flight time as well as add a little bit of weight.

DJI Mini 5 Pro vs DJI Mini 4 Pro

DJI Mini 5 Pro vs DJI Mini 4 Pro: Official Comparison (2025 Update)

Image of - DJI Mini 5 Pro vs DJI Mini 4 Pro - Which One Is the Best for You

The DJI Mini 5 Pro and the DJI Mini 4 Pro are the two most exciting under-250-gram drones in 2025. If you talk about the best drone in the under-250-gram category, then without doubt, these two are among the best, but which one is best among these two? As we all know, the Mini 5 Pro has already become very popular among drone lovers, although the drone is not easily available on Amazon.com or B&H Store, even after its announcement, due to some regulatory/ongoing ban issues, so in an in-depth comparison on TheNewCamera.com, we have tried to bring out the best possible comparison between the two with all of the available core specifications, and it will surely help you to decide the best DJI drone for 2025 without a doubt. So let’s jump into the comparison.

Overview: DJI Mini 4 Pro vs Mini 5 Pro

The DJI Mini 4 Pro is not new; It was announced back in September 2023. At that time, a 1/1.3-inch sensor and 4K 60FPS HDR video recording were more than enough, and omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. Overall, it was a great sub-249-gram category drone, which is still quite popular.

The new DJI Mini 5 Pro was officially announced on September 17, 2025. It does carry some of the biggest updates that we have ever seen in a sub-249-gram category drone, such as a large 1-inch sensor, the introduction of LiDAR for advanced obstacle avoidance tech, and up to 52 minutes of flight time while using the Plus battery feature.

If you compare the price of the drone right now, we are a bit surprised since most of the accessories whose prices are confirmed come at almost the same price range, with a slight price increase. We have already done the price comparison of these two drones in our previous article. Now, let’s have a look at the performance capability, flight capability, and the major differences between the features of both drones.

Deep analysis and specification comparison

1. Camera performance:

  • DJI Mini 4 Pro: The Mini 4 Pro uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor (48 MP) that delivers excellent 4K/60fps HDR video and 1080p/200fps cinematic slow-motion, with 10-bit D-Log M and HLG for professional colour grading. Its f/1.7 aperture and 2.4μm pixels perform well in daylight but struggle in low light, so the drone struggles to perform well at night. Yes, the noise is very clearly visible after ISO 3200, and when you are using the D-Log due to the sensor size limitation, the latitude we get in the video file is limited. With the help of the gimbal, it does support true vertical shooting, which is perfect for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
  • DJI Mini 5 Pro: The camera of the Mini 5 Pro features 1-inch 50MP CMOS sensor with f/1.8 aperture, superior low-light performance (better noise control up to ISO 12800), 14-stop dynamic range, and 10-bit D-Log M/HLG color profiles, a major jump in terms of low light performance, as well as dynamic range when compared to a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor. DJI Mini 5 Pro supports 4K video recording at 120fps or even 5.4K/30fps, similar to what we see in the DJI Air 2S. A hybrid autofocus (phase + contrast) and 12-bit RAW could greatly enhance detail. The gimbal tilting up to +90 degrees allows unique upward shots, and onboard audio recording is an added option.
  • Analysis: All the features make the DJI Mini 5 Pro one of the best cinematic drones that fall under the 249-gram weight class.

2. Flight performance comparison

  • Mini 4 Pro: Offers 34 minutes (standard battery) or 45 minutes (Battery Plus), a 20 km range (OcuSync 4), and 35.8 mph max speed, which is really impressive. It can handle wind speeds of 23.9 mph with ±0.3 ft accuracy (vision) or ±1.6 ft (GNSS).
  • Mini 5 Pro: 36 minutes with standard battery combo and up to 52 minutes of flight time with a Plus battery and a 25 km range (OcuSync 4+ with multi-beam). Vented motors as well as new propeller design suggest improved thrust, cooling, and less noise while hovering compared to the previous generation, potentially increasing wind resistance to ~26.8 mph.
  • Analysis: The Mini 5 Pro offers slightly extended flight time despite the fact the drone has now become more power-hungry after the update of the large one-inch sensor, improved image processor, and improved stability in windy conditions, making it ideal for adventurous creators. The Mini 4 Pro remains reliable but is outclassed here when compared with the new DJI Mini 5 Pro.

3. Obstacle Avoidance

  • Mini 4 Pro: The Mini 4 Pro uses omnidirectional avoidance with binocular vision sensors (0.5–18m range) and a 3D ToF depth sensor, enhanced by APAS for smooth navigation. It struggles to detect objects at night and uses an infrared sensor to help land perfectly.
  • Mini 5 Pro: LiDAR alongside omnidirectional sensors — from the leaked images, it’s very clear that the drone has dual front-facing LiDAR units for advanced obstacle avoidance as well as ActiveTrack 6.0 for better tracking.
  • Analysis: Introduction of LiDAR sensors inside the new DJI Mini 5 Pro makes it the best. The obstacle avoidance no longer remains limited like the Mini 4 Pro — it has become more advanced and safer for consumer use.

4. Intelligent Features

  • Mini 4 Pro: Already advanced at its time, the drone includes ActiveTrack 360°, MasterShots, QuickShots (Dronie, Helix, etc.), Hyperlapse, and Panorama modes. SmartPhoto enhances HDR, and Cruise Control maintains steady speeds.
  • Mini 5 Pro: Mini 5 Pro’s advanced set of features includes ActiveTrack 6.0, enhanced MasterShots, and onboard audio syncing with the DJI Mic. The Mini 5 Pro features AI-powered tracking improvements and a “48mm med-tele mode” for lossless zoom.
  •  Analysis: Obviously, the Mini 5 Pro drone stands out with its updated core specifications. The most important upgrade apart from the camera itself is the advanced LiDAR obstacle avoidance syste,m as well as advanced AI-based tracking, making it a perfect choice for vloggers and social media creators.

5. Design and Portability

  • Mini 4 Pro: Folded (148 x 94 x 64 mm) and unfolded (298 x 373 x 101 mm), it’s compact and travel-friendly at <249g.
  • Mini 5 Pro (Rumored): Similar dimensions, maintaining <249g for regulation-free flying (C0 class, Open A1). Leaked images clearly show a larger camera module and vented motors.
  • Analysis: Both drones excel in portability, but the Mini 5 Pro’s advanced tech in the same weight class shows remarkable improvement in the engineering of the drone.

6. Price Comparison

  • Mini 4 Pro:
    Base (RC-N2): $759 USD
    Fly More Combo: $999 USD
Accessories: Standard battery ($99), Battery Plus ($145), propellers ($9), ND filters ($55).
  • Mini 5 Pro (Rumored):
    Base: $799–$899 USD
Fly More Combo RC2: $1,099–$1,299 USD
Accessories: Standard battery ($69), Battery Plus ($99), propellers ($19), ND filters ($55).

Yes, the accessory prices are slightly higher. We were expecting a bit of a price jump in the drone pricing but the leaked European price suggests it will fall in the same pricing category, so despite such massive hardware updates, you don’t have to pay extra when compared to the DJI Mini 4 Pro.

DJI Mini 5 Pro leaked close up picture showing new click on propellors.

Which Drone Is Best for You?

  • Choose the DJI Mini 4 Pro if:
If the Mini 4 Pro drone is available at a heavily discounted price only, since both of them have very little price difference, and specs-wise, the Mini 5 Pro touches new heights.
Best for: Casual users, travelers, social media creators on a budget.
  • Wait for the DJI Mini 5 Pro if:
You love to have video with more DR, higher latitude for color grading, and 4K 120fps mode for cinematic slow-motion.

We do have many on our website if you want to browse [explore the DJI Mini 5 Pro], which actually highlights its portability and compact design.  The video was posted on August 26, 2025. The animation confirms the Mini 5 pro sub 249 gram build. As we have already seen, the drone has a CO level ensuring compliance with the Global regulations, like the FAA for recreational Drone rules. European Retail Price: Fly More Combo RC2 at €1129

The price of the European Web Store has been leaked today, and surprisingly, it is exactly similar to the DJI Mini 5 Pro flyover combo RC to which is available at €1129, so it exactly matches the current retail price of the Mini 4, which is really a surprise. Since the new DJI Mini 5 Drone is coming with a massive upgrade in the video quality with a large sensor at the very same time, for the first time, the Drone itself will have a LiDAR advanced obstacle avoidance system integrated with it.

In the US, leaks suggest the following pricing:

  • Base Model (Standard Combo): $799 USD
  • Fly More Combo: $1,099 USD

The mentioned prices of the Mini 5 Pro make it a very attractive upgrade at this price point. The affordability has been further enhanced by the accessory pricing that we have discussed early, or also the entire combo, which includes the drawing itself and the accessories available at exactly or almost the same price that we have been paying for the older Mini for Pro.

DJI Mini 5 Pro Price Leak - Exclusive Reveal of Battery Plus, Full Price list, and Release Date Rumors

DJI Mini 5 pro price image

Get yourself ready for the next big thing in the lightweight drone category — the DJI Mini 5 Pro is finally coming. Now we have the price list of the drone, batteries, and accessories. Let’s explore the full set of details we have related to the upcoming drone. So whether you’re a hobbyist or a professional pilot, the Mini 5 Pro can be your next aerial photography gear.

DJI Mini 5 Standard and Pro Battery Price

The latest DJI Mini 5 Pro leaks also confirm two battery options for the drone: the standard Intelligent Flight Battery and the enhanced Battery Plus for longer flight times. Here are more details and pricing of the batteries:

  • Standard Battery: The price is $69 only. It’s a lightweight budget option that keeps your drone under 249g. It stays nimble and compliant without sacrificing performance.
  • Battery Plus: Priced at $99. By spending a bit more, you get extended flight times—ideal for longer shoots, adventures, or wedding cinematography.

My personal advice is to invest in multiple standard models of the battery instead of investing in the Battery Plus. That way, you keep your drone always within the weight limit, and even during intense checks, you will pass.

Complete DJI Mini 5 Pro Pricelist – Everything You Need to Know

The best part is especially for budget-conscious buyers: despite all the tariff news and inflation, the prices of the accessories and batteries remain almost the same with slight fluctuations. So, we don’t have any nasty big surprises of price hikes. The cost remains familiar for essentials like propellers, charging hubs, and care plans — those remain exactly the same.

Here’s the leaked full pricelist straight from reliable sources. We’ve formatted it for easy scanning so you can plan your purchase:

  • DJI Mini 5 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery: $69.00 – for everyday flights.
  • DJI Mini 5 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery Plus: $99.00 – longer sessions / boosted capacity.
  • DJI Mini 5 Pro Two-Way Charging Hub: $49.00 – charge multiple batteries simultaneously.
  • DJI Mini 5 Pro Propellers: $19.00 – affordable spares for quick swaps.
  • DJI Mini 5 Pro Quick-Release Propeller Guard (Propellers Included): $69.00 – advanced protection with integrated props.
  • DJI Mini 5 Pro ND Filters Set (ND8/32/128): $55.00 – control light for cinematic shots.
  • DJI Care Refresh 1-Year Plan: $80.00 – accident protection for worry-free flying.
  • DJI Care Refresh 2-Year Plan: $129.00 – extended coverage for serious creators.

These prices demonstrate DJI’s commitment to keeping a pro-cinematic drone with a large 1-inch sensor within reach of many budget-minded professionals, making the Mini 5 Pro a top contender in the under-250g drone market.

DJI Mini 5 Pro vs. Mini 4 Pro: How Do the Prices Stack Up?

Should you plan to upgrade your drone? Worried about the price? We have compared all accessory prices here. Even if you’re planning to buy a new drone, this comparison will help you make a clear decision without the fear of price:

Pricing of the DJI Mini 5 Pro

The DJI Mini 5 Pro ends up closer to existing models without a big hike:

  • Base Model (DJI Mini 5 Pro with Standard Controller): $899–$999 USD – So we are expecting a 15 to 30% increase over the price of the base model since it carries a 1-inch large sensor and enhanced LiDAR tech.
  • Fly More Combo (with DJI RC 2 or RC-N3): $1,199–$1,499 USD – Similarly, we are also expecting a better price increase in the Fly More Combo accounting for all enhanced capabilities.

The upcoming new Mini 5 Pro drone has some premium upgrades like a 1-inch main sensor with 4K 120FPS video capability as well as omnidirectional obstacle avoidance with forward-facing LiDAR. All these are major advantages over the Mini 4 Pro, so the above price justifies a 10–30% premium charge over the old Mini 4 Pro model, per sources — putting it in the $800–1,000 base range and $1,000–1,500 for combos.

Expected Release Date: September 2025

Based on the 2-year refresh cycle of the Mini 4 Pro series, or whatever, the DJI Mini 5 Pro release date is expected to be sometime in September 2025. Early leaks from sources suggest Sept 5 to Sept 16 — in this time span, we will have the official announcement.

These prices confirm DJI’s focus on affordability.
