Sony A37 Review Round-Up

The Sony A37 features 16.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor, up to 7 fps continuous shooting speed and ISO sensitivity from 100 to 16000, Some site just reviewed the Sony A37 entry level DSLR, the review Round-up have some positive and negative verdict from the reviewers…

A good option if you’re looking for something fast with a viewfinder and tilting LCD, the Sony Alpha SLT-A37 is a solid but not outstanding sub-$800 dSLR-style camera. read full review by cnet.com

Sony’s offerings in the entry-level arena are perhaps more interesting than its Canon and Nikon counterparts, with the translucent mirror technology, Clear Zoom and Auto Portrait Framing giving the beginner photographer a lot of bang for their buck.

Beginners need to be aware, however, that there are downsides to using a translucent mirror technology. Firstly, the amount of light reaching the sensor is reduced, so focusing in lower light conditions can be a little tricky, and secondly it’s fair to say that although good, an EVF won’t be to everyone’s tastes. see full review at techradar.com

The camera’s JPEGs look reasonably good at ISO 100 and 200; then you start to see more softness at ISO 400, with increasing artefacts up through ISO 3200, which we would consider to be the top of the usable range for JPEGs……………….
The A37 is a solid, entry-level, SLR-class camera that will serve anyone on a tight budget who’s looking for something with which to shoot active kids and pets. see full review at cnet.au

The Sony Alpha A37 is a fairly standard upgrade for the company’s entry-level SLT DSLR lineup. It replaces the A35 with some basic upgrades to control, a new image sensor, but a largely unchanged design………………..
Choosing the Sony A37 over competing options like the Nikon D3100 and Canon T3 largely comes down to a decision for speed versus the comfort of an optical viewfinder. The A37’s 5.5fps full resolution burst is well ahead of the Nikon and Canon options, but the electronic viewfinder still isn’t as nice as an optical option. see the full review at digitalcamerainfo.com

Can you take your own headshot picture every day?, This may sound easy, but doing it continuously for 5+ years without any break is a really very tough job,

A cute girl doing it, from past five+ years she takes a headshot picture of her every day and then puts them all into a stop-motion video.

Apple Point-and-Shoot Digital Camera Rumors

We know that three industries Jobs wanted to change is television, textbooks, and photography. So finally after iPhone, iPad, iTV and now its time for  Digital camera, This week rumor heated up when  iLounge released its comprehensive New iPad Buyers’ Guide (see the PDF here), an overview of accessories, apps and other information associated with the new iPad, It includes a two-page spread arguing that Apple may be working on a camera.

page 72 —“Making the case for a standalone iSight Camera.” I’ll share more on this topic shortly, but for now, I’ll say that this two-page spread very nearly had a different title. We were tipped that this project is actually happening at Apple right now, but we didn’t feel confident enough in our source to call it a certainty; it’s therefore billed as speculation. Still, there’s enough smoke to make us think there’s a fire.

Now a bit more details, after the publication of Buyer’s guide, Jeremy Horwitz (Editor-in-Chief, iLounge) posted in his blog

Just as with the iPhone, Apple wants to give users a powerful tool that can be used to produce awesome results without needing to understand technical details, jargon, or legacy controls.

The product is planned for after the release of the iTV, and would leverage iCloud for storage

We noted that Apple had many camera-related job openings posted, including a reference to cameras that were to be built into “standalone peripherals,” as distinguished from “laptops,” “desktops,” and “handhelds.” (See http://jobs.apple.com/index.ajs?BID=1&method=mExternal.showJob&RID=82844&CurrentPage=4)

...and at last he also added in his post that

We found that Apple had re-trademarked iSight in April 2012, notably expanding beyond the prior iSight trademark’s reliance on “Computer hardware, namely, a camera requiring use of a personal computer for taking still and moving pictures”

Even iLounge believe that they doesn’t expect any Apple camera product to be announced soon until the long-rumored Apple television set makes its debut.

Incredible Steadicam single-take shot

Incredible Steadicam single-take shot Behind the Scenes of Hugo, The Steadicam op Larry McConkey mounted a GoPro to his rig, and captured a long single-take scene. It is one of the most beautiful filmmaking clips I’ve ever seen and also watch the wall move (on 1.00 min) so they can slide in behind the chair.
