Panasonic GX85 / GX80 Sample Images - Sharpness Test

The first Sharpness test of Panasonic GX80 / 85 is now out. Photographer Wasabi Bob shared first few clicks captured from the Panasonic GX80 camera. According to Panasonic the recently announced GX80 camera has 10% more resolving power than any other Panasonic camera till date due to the absence of low-pass filter.

Panasonic announced GX80 camera today, the camera features 16MP sensor and ISO range from 200-25600 (expendable upto 100). Panasonic GX80 is first Panasonic camera that doesn’t have built-in low-pass filter, hence users can now enjoy more details in still images and in 4K video. The camera arrives with electromagnet-driven shutter mechanism that prevents blur from shutter shock.

The camera can record 4K videos at 30 fps and also features post focus feature. The GX80 uses same DFD AF system of Panasonic GX8. The Dual IS system of the camera works very well and up to 4.5 stops of shake reduction.

Hasselblad H6D to Launch in 2 Variants

H5D-frontMore and more information related to Hasselblad upcoming cameras coming out everyday, few days ago we have reported that Hasselblad is planning to announce Many New Products this Year according to Financial Times.

Now today we came to know that the Hasselblad H6D coming in two Variants – H6D-50 and H6D-100. Both camera will have Sony made CMOS sensors, the H6D-50 will have 50Megapixel CMOS sensor and H6D-100 will have 100 CMOS sensor respectively.

Back on September 12th, 2012 Hasselblad announced flagship H5D, The H5D Series is available in three variants namely 40, 50 and 60 megapixels as well as 50 and 200 megapixel Multi-Shot versions, all the three variants uses CCD sensor and and gives limited ISO performance.

The 2014 CP+ show the Hasselblad announced one more variant Hasselblad 5Dc. The H5D-50c world’s first fully integrated medium format camera system to use CMOS sensor technology.

Finally the very first Specification of Sony A7R III Leaked today and if we believe it then upcoming A7R III camera will uplift the entire high-resolution full frame competition to a new level.

The to be announced Sony A7R III camera will feature a 70-80 MP Super high resolution sensor and improved image stabilization system,  the camera will officially arrive with new 24-70 F2.8 GM Lens.

A7RIII the new sensor will be between 70 – 80 Megapixels. They are working on improved IBIS as well. Although officially the new lenses per the 24-70 F2.8 GM and the others have been tested for QC at 60+ Megapixels and 6K+ Video they achieve even better results than that.

Well we were expecting Sony A7R III in 2016 since Sony updates its A7 series camera every year. The Sony A7R III was announced on back June 2015 with 42 MP and built in 5-axis image stabilization system.

More Confirmations - Hasselblad H6D MF camera Coming soon

We have already told you on March 30 that Hasselblad is planning to announce Many New Products this Year. According to latest rumor surfaced over the web Hasselblad is planning to announce H6D Medium format camera soon. We don’t know the core specification of the camera but we do expect the Hasselblad will use Sony made CMOS Medium format sensor for H6D.

The H6D camera will be a successor of H5D-60 camera that uses a 60MP CCD sensor, due to the CCD sensor inside the camera the ISO remains limited to 800 only. With the introduction of CMOS sensors inside the H6D we may see a major uplift in the ISO range of upcoming camera. Stay with us more coming…

Panasonic 8K Camera Coming on September 2016

Based on latest rumor surfaced over the web we may see a Panasonic GH series camera prototype with 8k video recording on this September 2016 or may be just a development announcement. According to the tipster of the rumormill, the 8K capable GH series camera is scheduled to be launched on 2018, earlier it was planned to release on 2020.

Take the information published today with grain of salt. Since the news is coming from a unconfirmed source.

On May 21st, 2015 Panasonic revealed  its future plans of 8K video, including 4K at 60fps and 120fps, take a look at a snapshot what ephotozine writes

Panasonic announced plans for future 4K and 8K video and photo features, including 4K at 60fps and 120fps, as well as the ability to take 33 megapixel still images from 8K video footage. They say they are planning to have this technology ready for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. No further information was given at the time.

Sensor

Both camera does feature 20MPO 1″ sensor , but if we look in details we will find the difference from beginning. The Sony RX10 III features a 20.1MP 1″ Exmor RS CMOS sensor, which utilizes both back-illuminated and stacked technologies on the other side we have Canon G3X camera that uses a traditional  20 MP CMOS sensor and it is still unconfirmed that it uses BSI back-illuminated technology or not, however the ISO range of both the camera is same and we can’t comment on image quality until we see High ISO test between these two camera.
