After the announcement of the world’s first back-illuminated full-frame mirrorless camera Sony A7RII in June, 2015 now the company has released the instruction manual for the camera on its web for the user’s convenience.

As we know the camera features Exmor R CMOS sensor with a resolution of 42.4MP and due to the presence of its 399 focal plane phase detection AF points, its AF is 40% faster than its predecessor Sony A7R.

Its 42.4 MP sensor has the gapless combination on-chip lens design and anti-reflective coating on the surface of the sensor’s glass seal which results in the improvement in its light efficiency, high sensitivity with low-noise performance and wide dynamic range. It also features a native ISO range of 100 to 25600 and that can be further expanded up to ISO 50 to 1024002.

It is expected that the users can get the Sony α7R II full-frame interchangeable lens camera in August, 2015 at the cost of $3200.

Sony a7RII AF Test and Nikon F to Sony FE Lens Adapter coming soon

 

SONY A7R IIWe came with the two videos reviews of the recently announced Sony Alpha a7RII which was posted by a Chinese tester NTIMAGE.

The test is all about the auto focus speed of Sony Alpha a7RII with Sony FE 70-200, A-mount 70-200 f/2.8, EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lenses.

They also tested the leaked Nikon F-mount to Sony E-mount lens adapter on Sony a7RII, and gave the confirmation of its early arrival.

After testing Sony a7RII with FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS lens, they came to the conclusion that its AF speed is very fast.

They also tested Sony a7RII with A-mount 70-200mm f/2.8 G SSM II lens and also use LA-EA3 adapter and came with the result that the AF speed is almost similar to FE 70-200mm as used as f/4 G OSS lens.

They also showed their positive attitude towards the testing of Eye Tracking AF on a7RII and satisfied.

A read asked high ISO performance on a7RII, the reviewer replied: “Depending on the firmware version is too low, the testers were instructed not to spread a high sense of evaluation results, but privately say the high ISO performance is only slightly inferior to a7S, but better than a7R, 5-Axis SteadyShot INSIDE Stabilization is very good.“

The tester also tested Sony a7RII tested with Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lens + MetaBones and came to the conclusion that the AF speed processing very fast.

They didn’t use Sony a7RII w/ Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8 + Nikon F-mount to Sony E-mount lens adapter because it was a prototype based and hence gave the confirmation of its early arrival.

Its native ISO of 25600 can be extended upto mind-blowing ISO 409,600 , which favors the shooters to shoot in dim or difficult lighting conditions. The architecture of 16.2MP FX-format CMOS image sensor supports it to collect more light and offers good quality image. It’s EXPEED 4 processing towards to offer full resolution at shooting rate of 11fps for up to 200 frames.

Here the Nikon D4S has much higher ISO range comparative to Sony A7R II which make your decision very clear that Nikon D4s is more sensitive compared to A7R II.

Image Stabilization:- The Sony Alpha 7R II features 5-Axis SteadyShot INSIDE Image Stabilization .This system definitely gives more confidence to both the new users and the professional shooter. During shooting it solved the five types of problems from different directions faced during handheld shooting either still images or videos. It even excels the video recording by reducing the blur production during shooting the video in running or walking condition.

Panasonic Working Next Generation of Image Processor to Support 8K

According to the latest reports published at Japanese News Website, Panasonic is actively working on next generation of image processor to support 8K video recording in GH series consumer camera. The 8K resolution is exactly 16 times the resolution of Full HD, every single frame of the 8K videos carry 33Megapixels resolution, to record 8K video Panasonic need a ultra fast image processor, the current Venus Engine used inside the GH4 camera is capable to record 4K videos at 30p/24p.

Panasonic announced plans for future 4K and 8K video and photo features, including 4K at 60fps and 120fps, as well as the ability to take 33 megapixel still images from 8K video footage. They say they are planning to have this technology ready for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. No further information was given at the time.

If the rumor is true than the Panasonic FZ300 will sure take down the sales graph of big sensor compacts and APS-C or 4/3 mirrorless  camera… since when you have a big 4/3 sensor compact camera with a ultra bright compact lens why you will look for a second option, The camera wide aperture range clearly indicates that it ill become a prefect tool for portrait shooters too.

Firmware Upgrade - Samsung NX500 Gets Significant Improvements in AF and Video

A new firmware update issued by Samsung for NX500 camera, the camera get significant improvement in the AutoFocus system and video mode.

The AF speed is boosted all the way, you will now notice quick AF performance under extremely low low-light environment, during face detection and in Movie mode. Samsung also added a new Zone AF mode that will let you choose AF area sizes, the Face detection area sensor is now also enlarged.
