Today Canon 7D Test score published at DxOMark Lab, the Overall scored given by DxoMark Lab to Canon 7D Mark II is 70 only and the biggest issue is the score of the recently announced 7D Mark II camera is behind a year old small sensor based MFT (Micro Four Third) camera such as Olympus OMD E-M1.

The Canon 7D Mark II have completely new sensor that features 2nd generation of Dual pixel CMOS AF technology and low light capability upto 51200 (Canon 7D was limited to 12800 only), But the DxO Mark says ‘incremental performance increase.’

A new patent by Sony discloses ground breaking technologies that can control the exposure of the sensor on pixel level, that means your future camera will set variable exposure depending on the darker and brighter part of the scene.

That means the dark part of your night scene will be considered as the area of ‘long exposure pixels’ that will sure need more time compared to the brighter part of the scene having ‘short exposure pixels,’
But, What happen when a moving car with bright headlights enters into a static scene which is a mixture of shadow and highlights … Sony already have a decent solution for that.. the system comes with a HDR BLUR CORRECTING UNIT that will automatically select the best scene by eliminating the unwanted blur.

 Olympus OMD E-M1 image
According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web Olympus will soon announce new OMD series camera, the upcoming camera is completely new and it’s not a successor of any present OMD series camera , that includes OMD E-M1, E-M5 and E-M10.
It’s really interesting to hear that Olympus is working on a completely new OMD series camera, there is a very good possibility that the upcoming OMD camera will be Hybrid Camera just like Samsung NX1 Mirrorless (see NX1 at Amazon) by having 4K recording option and a Phase AF sensor…. these features will make upcoming OMD series camera a prefect competitor for recently announced Samsung NX1 camera, Canon 7D Mark II camera or Panasonic GH4.

The scheduled announcement period of Canon G17 is already passed, yes we do have a G7X camera and its core specification look similar to rumored Canon G17 leaked specification published on March 2014, and surprisingly the size and shape look similar to a S series compact camera… So does Canon merged both the compact camera line into one or we will see a new G17 or Canon S series camera in future? Time will tell…

In my view even if Canon planning to announce G17 camera in future they have only 1 options left… they have to use Sony made Canon G7X 1 inch sensor in upcoming G17 camera (instead of traditional 12 MP 1/1.7″ CMOS Sensor) by adding extensive manual control, hot-shoe, OVF and Vari-angle screen, a better lens… I promise you that I will bring some concrete information related to G17 in the next few days.. till STAY WITH ON FACEBOOK | TWITTER | GOOGLE+ to get live news + rumors 24X7+
Update: Good news – According to the representatives of Canon, Canon G7X is not a successor of Canon G16 camera. So we do have hope that we will see Canon G17 in near future, no arrival date confirmed yet but Canon is preparing for a big bunch of product announcement in Feb, month.

A new leaked specification surfaced over the web, that shows the upcoming DX format DSLR camera will going to feature 24 MP Sony made APS-C sensor (New or or same as Nikon D7100 sensor, we are not confirmed yet, ), the most eye-catching thing I see the leaked specification is the introduction of EXPEED 4b image processor in a DX format camera…so one thing is sure that the camera will give more fast continuous shooting speed compared to Nikon D7100 with Expeeed 3 image processor…
Take a look at the rumored specification below.
- New 24.7MP sensor from Sony
- EXPEED 4b processor
- Nikon Advanced Multi-CAM 3600DX autofocus sensor module with TTL phase detection, fine-tuning, 72 focus points (including 39 cross-type sensors; f/10 supported by 39 sensors)
- ISO: 100-12,600 (expandable to 50-51,200)
- Shutter speed 30-1/8000
- 1.3x crop mode
- 8 fps; 10 fps with external grip
- Video: full HD (1080p) – 120FPS, no 4K
- Similar in shape to the Nikon D810
- Large viewfinder with 100% coverage
The name is not confirmed yet but the leaked specification says the upcoming camera will have core specification better than the existing Nikon D7100 DSLR, so the to be announced DSLR may be called Nikon D7200 or Nikon D9300….
