Nikon registered a new DSLR “N1404” on Indonesian Communications Agency today. Yes, we are saying it’s a DSLR camera since we are confirmed that Nikon Thailand manufacturing units are dedicated for making FX and DX DSLRs only. Compacts and Mirrorless camera are being made in China and Indonesia. Not only N1404, we also know that Nikon recently registered 4 more cameras at different worldwide agencies for wireless certification.
Update: Nikon D750 code name was also N1404 and again Nikon registered a new camera with the same name, it’s a clear indication that Nikon will bring our Nikon D750 successor soon.

Finally we came to know that the flagship Olympus camera Em1 Mark II uses Sony made IMX 270 sensor.
The most important thing about IMX 270 sensor used inside the Olympus E-M1 mark 2 camera features phase detect as well as contrast detect AF points. And it’s also known that till now no commercially available Sony 4/3rd format sensor features on hybrid autofocus points.
It’s a fact that, Sony doesn’t make hybrid sensors for 4/3rd camera commercially. Several Panasonic cameras sensors are made by Sony. Starting from Panasonic GX8 to GH5 sensor are made by Sony and features contrast based AF system.
One of the most important thing is the sensor isn’t commercially available to other camera manufacturers. That clearly indicates that the sensor was could be designed by Olympus team and developed by Sony.

The lens has been designed, tested and developed to match the AF performance of A9 as well as upcoming future high-end fullframe cameras.
Canon 5D Mark IV rumored firmware update is finally here and Canon users now can get Canon CLOG Firmware update for $99 via nearest Canon service centers starting from July. It will add the ability to record with Canon Log.
Canon CLOG preserve details while recording videos and allow users to get Maximum wide dynamic range, minimal loss of detail in shadows and highlight areas and an increased range of choices when color grading.
The update is available from July 2017.

With this upgrade, the EOS 5D Mark IV can achieve a cinematic look similar to what can be achieved using Cinema EOS cameras, allowing it to serve as a second camera on a Cinema EOS shoot or to stand alone as a cinema camera. Canon Log uses the image sensor’s characteristics in a way that allows for a wide dynamic range, minimal loss of detail in shadows and highlight areas and an increased range of choices when color grading. Color grading options available with Canon Log include optimized color saturation, accurate colors with minor color bias, visual continuity and accurate skin tones.
Canon Log also works with and complements several EOS 5D Mark IV camera features including 4K shooting, Dual Pixel CMOS AF, high speed 119.9p shooting in HD and 59.94p shooting in Full HD. Additional features include Movie Servo AF allowing the camera to focus on a subject even when the shutter button is not used, the ability to register custom shooting modes in Canon Log and movie shooting in Canon Log on a compatible iOS® or Android™ device using the free Canon Camera Connect app1.

Sony finally announced the long Rumored Sony A9 mirrorless camera. The camera is capable to compete against any of the high end DSLR present today. If you look at the Core specification of the camera then it completely surprasses the technology used inside Canon 1dx Mark II and Nikon D5. It’s fair enough to say that current generation of high end DSLR look obsolete as well as outdated in front of Sony A9 camera.
