According to one of the first reviews of the Canon RF24mm F1.8 Lens, the lens is exceptionally sharp and has very high resolving power.
Canon RF 24mm F1.8 Review
The first feature is its size. Compact and lightweight with a size of 74.4 (maximum diameter) x 63.1 (length) mm and a weight of approximately 270g. All of the manufacturer’s genuine 24mm/F1.8 lenses are over 70mm in length and weigh more than 300-400g. should be understood.
In terms of functionality, the main feature is that it supports half-macro shooting with a maximum shooting magnification of 0.5x. The shortest shooting distance is 0.14m, and it is possible to get close to the subject as close as 4.2cm from the front of the lens.
What I felt was “more than I expected” was the high resolution. In all of the examples, longitudinal chromatic aberration before and after the focal point is relatively well suppressed, resulting in very sharp image quality. As expected, the outline of the bokeh may remain colored, but considering the size, it can be said that the lens has excellent resolution.
When the camera’s peripheral illumination correction is turned on, the peripheral illumination falloff is greatly improved even when the aperture is open. However, when the blue sky enters the screen, there are times when the amount of light falloff is a concern even when using peripheral illumination correction.
Since the lens is based on electronic correction, distortion is suppressed by correction on the camera side. It seems that it is designed to give a natural impression as a photograph by leaving a little aberration.
It is not very strong against backlight, and ghosts and flares occur when there is a strong light source such as the sun on the screen.
AF was a speedy operation. Since it uses a gear-type STM, there is a certain amount of drive noise and focus breathing), but I felt that the AF performance was sufficient for still image shooting.
When the aperture is wide open, the effects of astigmatism can be seen. It is not completely suppressed at f/2.8 and is almost eliminated at f/4. In order to take high-quality astrophotography up to the periphery, it will be necessary to stop down a little.
The “RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM” is a wide-angle, single-focal lens packed with the goodness of the standard type. Despite its compact size and light weight of 63.1mm in length and weight of approximately 270g, it has high resolution, including when shooting macro, and you can enjoy the image quality of a single focal length lens with ease.

Tamron 20-40mm F2.8 VXD Lens Press Release
New large-aperture standard zoom lens proposed by Tamron – Smallest and lightest *1) design for comfortable video shooting 20-40mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A062)
20-40mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A062) Overview
The Model A062 is Tamron’s new large-aperture standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount cameras compatible with full-size mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras. Starting with an ultra-wide angle of 20mm and covering up to the standard range of 40mm, it is the smallest and lightest in its class*1. Beautiful images are achieved throughout the entire zoom range, and it is useful not only for still image shooting but also for video shooting such as Vlog. The AF drive employs a silent and agile linear motor focus mechanism VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) to achieve high-speed, high-precision AF. Furthermore, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.17m at the wide-angle end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.8, close-up capabilities are excellent, enabling wide-angle macro-like shooting.
The Model A062 is a new, large-aperture standard zoom lens that allows you to easily bring it out and enjoy shooting both still images and movies.
Main features 1. Smallest and lightest in its class F2.8 through large aperture standard zoom lens covering 20-40mm
The Model A062 is Tamron’s new large-aperture standard zoom lens that pursues a compact size that makes it easy to carry around. While achieving a large aperture of F2.8 over the entire zoom range from 20mm to 40mm, it is 86.5mm long and weighs 365g, making it the smallest and lightest lens in its class.
The telephoto end covers up to a standard range of 40mm, which is convenient for everyday use, such as snapshots, portraits, and table photos. On the other hand, by setting the wide-angle end to 20mm, you can enjoy a wide range of shooting, such as spectacular and powerful natural scenery that makes the most of perspective, which cannot be achieved with conventional large-aperture standard zoom lenses starting at 24mm.
2. Comfortable video shooting such as Vlog and selfie
The lightweight and compact Model A062 is well-balanced and easy to handle even when attached to a camera grip or gimbal, which is convenient for video shooting. With this single lens, you can shoot everything from shooting in the city to vast landscapes at your destination and selfies with a wide background.
3. Combining high image quality with a compact body 4. Equipped with VXD for high-speed, high-precision AF 5. Wide macro photography with a minimum focusing distance of 0.17m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.8 at the wide-angle end 6. A zoom rotation angle of 65° enables smooth shooting that does not stop the flow 7. The focus ring can be customized and the firmware can be updated using the proprietary TAMRON Lens Utility™ software. 8. New lens design improves operability and scratch resistance 9. Uses a filter diameter of φ67mm, which is common to many of our mirrorless lens series 10. Pursuing high convenience with a simple drip-proof structure and antifouling coating 11. Compatible with various camera functions such as “Fast Hybrid AF” and “Eye AF” installed in Sony cameras

Nikon Z30 – Some User Overheating issues questions below
Z30 overheats and shuts down in about 30 minutes, not 125 minutes when shooting 4K or HD/120. I just got shut down at 33 minutes shooting 4K/30 in an air-conditioned studio with my brand-new Z30.
Page 593 of the manual actually confirms this: High Quality (video) “Approx. 28 min”.
Really bummed out by this! Longer running time is one of the reasons I bought the camera.
Not able to record more than 32 min 4K videos in my air-conditioned room, pls help
Nikon Z30 4k video stops at 30 Min, why?
Does Nikon Z30 Really Overheats, here is the answer
To protect the camera from overheating Nikon added a time limit to Full HD 60p mode and all 4K recording modes.
Screengrab of Nikon User Manual, You can clearly see the recording time limit of the Nikon Z30 camera at 4K and High-Quality Full HD Video recording mode.
We have Canon R10, Sony ZV-E10, and ZV30 ( and a smartphone in the frame). Let’s see which one holds the image quality better in low light conditions
Let’s see which one performs better in the low-light test. The comparison is done by Mark Bennett’s Camera Crisis, In this video, we can clearly see that the Nikon Z3 camera is performing well in a low-light environment.
So, finally, we have the test results out, do let us know what you think about the test results
According to the latest rumors published over the web, Canon’s next full-frame camera announcement will be a replacement for the Canon EOS R camera. Rumor mill sources suggest the camera won’t be called the Canon EOS R Mark II, BTW we told you back in May 2022 that the Canon EOS R successor name is expected to be Canon R8 or Canon R9. The camera is expected to arrive at the end of 2022
We will post an update as soon as we get any new information

Tamron 50-400mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Review by Toshiyuki Magara
Since this is a prototype, I won’t review the details of the image quality, but if you look at the example above, you’ll be able to see that it’s a lens that demonstrates high resolution over the entire zoom range. Even at close range, the feeling of softness is suppressed, and through shooting, I was able to feel the solid optical performance typical of Tamron lenses.
Regarding AF, it is still in the development stage, so please keep it as a reference, but by adopting the linear motor focus mechanism “VXD”, it has achieved quieter and faster operation than expected. I felt. As expected, the response drops slightly when moving the focus from a distant view to a near view (or vice versa), but the focus is achieved quickly over the entire zoom range, including the super-telephoto range. Among the company’s zoom lenses, it cannot be said that it is on the same level as the latest telephoto zoom lens “35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD”, but it is a super telephoto zoom that allows comfortable AF shooting with a similar feeling. I got the impression it was a lens.
Like Tamron’s zoom lens, it is also characterized by its strong macro. At the wide-angle end, half-macro photography is possible with a minimum focusing distance of 0.25m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.
Like Tamron’s zoom lens, it is also characterized by its strong macro. At the wide-angle end, half-macro photography is possible with a minimum focusing distance of 0.25m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.
TNC Take: Image samples are highly impressive even at 100%, the resolving capability of the lens is very good when paired up with a 24MP sensor. If someone is looking for an affordable zoom lens 50-400mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD is recommended
