Panasonic next GH series consumer level camera is excepted to record 6K video. The news surfaced over the web via Japanese publication Nikkan, according to the magazine the camera will arrive with 6K video recording @ 30frames per second.
The best part is while recording 6K video the every frame you record is of 16 Megapixels, so you can grab 16 Mp stills from 6K video anytime you want.
The news is not new during earlier Panasonic also confirmed that they are also working on a 8K consumer level camera.
On May 21st, 2015 we have published, During the Panasonic G7 announcement Panasonic revealed its future plans of 8K video, including 4K at 60fps and 120fps, take a look at a snapshot what ephotozine writes
“Panasonic announced plans for future 4K and 8K video and photo features, including 4K at 60fps and 120fps, as well as the ability to take 33 megapixel still images from 8K video footage. They say they are planning to have this technology ready for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. No further information was given at the time.“
Panasonic plan is perfect, they will announce a 6K consumer level camera on Q4 of 2016 OR Q1 of 2017 and a 8K capable camera on 2020.

According to a anonymous email we have received today the upcoming Panasonic LX100 successor will carry latest 20 MP or 16 MP CMOS sensor.
The information look bit logical to me So the big question is will Panasonic use the Same 16 MP OR 20 MP sensor in the upcoming LX200 camera?
We do expect at the moment that Panasonic will use the latest 20MP sensor from GX8 in its upcoming camera.

Sensor: The Panasonic GX8 features
The Panasonic GX8 features 20 Megapixel CMOS 4/3 sensor and Sony A6300 features a 20 MP APS-C sensor, Sony A6300 sensor carry more resolution as well as bigger sensor.
Both the sensor are built on different technologies, the Sony A6300 sensor is built with active Phase AF pixels inside the sensor so it will do fast AF compared to the Panasonic GX8.
The Sony advance Hybrid CMOS AF features 425 phase based AF points and 169 contrast based AF points, will allow camera to lock AF in a little time of 0.05 sec, on the other side the Panasonic features exclusive DFD auto-focus system. that also locks AF in .07 sec. However Sony clearly wins the game by .02 sec difference.

Panasonic GX8 announced few months ago and again according to latest rumors Panasonic is preparing to announce the Panasonic GF8 camera, the camera may have same sensor as of the Panasonic GX8 camera and a option to record 4K video. However, the camera is expected to arrive at CP+ show February, core specification of the camera is not known yet.

Just few hours ago we have published the images of upcoming Panasonic CM10 camera, now according to the latest news coming above the surface Panasonic announced C M10 Smartphone and TX1, TZ85 compact camera in Japan, it was a silent announcement.
Panasonic CM10 features larger 1″ sensor with 20 Megapixel resolution, the expandable ISO range of the sensor is 25600 and the standard ISO is limited to 12800, the Smartphone feature mechanical as well as electronic shutter and the combine range goes upto the mark of 60-1/16000.
The camera can record images in RAW / RAW + Fine / Fine / Standard format, the camera can record 4K videos in MP4 format limited to 15fps. The main display of the phone is made up of 4.7 inch 6.22 million dot TFT monitor.
The smartphone is loaded with Android ™ 5.0 (Lollipop) Smartphone and Qualcomm ® Snapdragon801 2.3 GHz (Quad Core) processor is used, the smartphone features 2GB built in RAM and 16GB ROM.
