We have just published the news that Panasonic will soon update its major camera firmware to make it compatible with LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) autofocusing system.
Pics that show the Panasonic S1H camera working in calibration with the LiDAR autofocusing system + RS Pro 3 gimbal to stabilize the camera. Although We don’t have that much detail on how the autofocus performed during the test, the combination of LiDAR autofocusing system with RS Pro 3 gimbal and Lumix S1H camera isn’t a cheap package.
Instead putting time on Lidar Tech, they should announce S1H Mark II with Hybrid Sensor asap – TNC
At the same time, they say they have already DEVELOPED their hybrid CMOS SENSOR, and we have already seen it in the Panasonic S5 MARK II mirrorless camera. Then, instead of investing time and money in LiDAR autofocusing system, it’s better to announce a new series of updated sensors for all their pro cameras with a hybrid system that they already have.
Nikon ZF image leaked with 40 mm f/2.8 AC lens. Although the image is blurry, from the design we are able to confirm that the lens being used in the camera is 40 mm f/2.8 SC which we have told you earlier is coming in the bundle with the Nikon ZF camera. Recently, the sensor market share data for 2022 has been released, and guess who is first on the list? It’s Sony, with a maximum of 42% of the global sensor market share. In the second position, we don’t have Canon, unfortunately. It’s Samsung with 19%, followed by Omnivision with 11%, STMicroelectronics with 6%, and Canon with only 1%.
So why does this big difference exist between the two? The reason is the ever-growing, booming smartphone industry. Despite being the world’s number one camera brand, Canon has only a 1% share in the sensor market data for the world in 2022. If they want to grow exponentially, they have to enter into the field of smartphones. Otherwise, this could happen: they will shift to the Panny Zone after 2025-26.

One thing you will notice is that the test score of the Fuji X-T4 camera in terms of low light is better than the Sony a6700 camera, although the dynamic range score is limited a bit. Right now, we do not have any test scores for the Fuji X-S20 camera on the Photos to Photos website, but we can relate what the outcome will be since we already have the test scores for the Fuji XT4 camera that uses the exact same 26-megapixel sensor.
We now have a new Godox flash trigger that looks like a smartwatch. Compared to conventional flash triggers, this particular trigger is very compact in size and uses a display screen for most of the operational control. It also has a Godox flash trigger app installed inside, which features extensive control over the flashes that you want to use with your camera. The product name, pricing, release date, etc. are all unknown.

According to the latest set of rumors, the Nikon ZF camera features a high-resolution mode. At the moment, what we know about the high-resolution mode in Nikon is adding High-Res Zoom Mode in 4k 24p videos and not the traditional sensor shift IBIS-based HR Mode which was first introduced by Pentax K- 3II in APS-C DSLRs and is now most used by Sony Alpha cameras. Recently, Nikon updated the Z9 camera with a firmware 3.0 update, and furthermore, speed settings were added to HR mode in the 4.0 update, However, this is completely different from the higher resolution mode that we generally see in Sony cameras with a sensor-shift image stabilization system. So, we have to wait for further confirmation about this feature.
One more thing that rumor mills are talking about is the presence of dual card slots in the camera. This is not a new thing for us as we have already discussed it. We have been reported about different types of prototypes of the Nikon ZF camera – one that carries a higher resolution sensor with a single card slot and the other that we are discussing right now and is expected to be approved for the production line with a 25-megapixel CMOS sensor and dual card slots.
