One more image Leica T type 701 and major specification surfaced over the web, the camera is rumored to announce at April 24, 2014 in Berlin at 7pm,

- Leica T type 701 will have a APS-C sensor
- Optional EVF
- Made in Germany (very solid built)
- The new T lenses coming (include primes and zooms)
- Touchscreen LCD
- Built-in Wi-Fi
- A new adapter that will let you use M lenses on the T body will also be announced

Today a new premium grade lens for M4/3 format announced by Panasonic – LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm F1.7 ASPH, the lens features a bright F1.7 aperture and 15mm focal length, So we have a total of 4 premium grade prime lenses available in M4/3 system by Panasonic & Leica

Leica is holding a special event on April 24, 2014 in Berlin at 7pm, according to LaVidaLeica.com website Leica will announce a new mirrorless camera on April 24 with power zoom lenses and prime lenses, the Mirrorless camera body and power zoom lenses is developed by Panasonic but branded as Leica and Prime lenses for Mirrorless system is made by leica itself.
The most interesting part of the rumor is the upcoming camera is not based on M4/3 format, it may be a APS-C sensor based Mirrorless system.

From past 3 to 4 month we are getting regular update form rumor mills that Leica will announce a mirrorless sysytem / Leica T 701 camera in Febraury 2014, now two new images surfaced over stevehuff website, the both images is of probably the upcoming new mirrorless system or Leica T Type 701 camera.

+1 take a look at the recent interview with the Australian magazine Camera Leica’s CEO Alfred Schopf, he confirmed again that they will come up with a new compact system camera:
“We will have one, definitely. And it will, of course, be quite different to M system. We want to have autofocus with such a system and we may well have an APSC size sensor rather than a bigger one. It will be a German built camera, however I’m not sure we can make all of the lenses made in Germany because we are talking about a different price range to M system so I could imagine that we do some fixed focal length lenses in Germany and maybe with the zooms we will co-operate with a partner”

Yes its really amazing to see a Fuji X10 camera type camera from Leica, the Leica X10 features same core specification and design as Fuji X10 camera.
However Fuji X10 is officially discontinued, Fuji X20 is waiting to be replaced by by Fuji X30, (according to rumors) Fuji X30 is coming in Feb-March 2014.
