Sony’s ZV Series: The Camera Line That’s Dominating Sales

Sony’s ZV Series: The Camera Line That’s Dominating Sales – The Sony ZV series accounts for 48.4% of total sales.

This is surprising news for all camera manufacturers, as it demonstrates the growth of the content creator consumer base. Sony currently has only three cameras in their ZV series (ZV1, ZV-E10, ZV-E1), with the Sony Z1 being the most recent addition. The most popular camera among these three is the Sony ZV-E10. Just imagine the number of units sold for the Sony ZV-E10 camera, as it contributes almost 50% of Sony’s total camera sales.
This is great news for camera manufacturers, but not so great for photographers.

Seeing this trend, camera manufacturers may shift their focus toward creating more content-creator-friendly cameras instead of focusing on professional photographers. After all, they are in business to make a profit and will follow the path that leads to the most profit.

Blackmagic Fullframe Camera Rumor

Blackmagic Design is rumored to be joining the L-Mount Alliance soon. In addition to this, they may also announce a full-frame cinema camera compatible with the L-Mount.

Currently, Blackmagic Design offers pocket cinema cameras with three different mount systems: PL, EF, and Micro Four Thirds. If the rumor is true, joining the L-Mount Alliance would be a great decision for Blackmagic Design. We are excited to see if they will release a full-frame camera and hope that this rumor comes true.

Sources suggest that the camera may be released at the end of 2023.

Sigma to Announce Lenses for RF Mount [Rumor]

According to the latest rumors from the rumor mill, Sigma will announce two new RF-mount lenses.  Source of the rumor mill says Sigma’s RF-mount lenses may become available in the next 6 to 8 months. The source also claims there will be a mid-range large-aperture prime lens and a zoom lens. And So, the rumor mill speculates we may see a 50mm f/1.4 and a zoom lens and a 17-50mm F2.8 OS D (RF Version).

So this is not the first time. A few months ago, the rumor mill published that Meike was the first to make Canon RF mount autofocus lenses. This news first broke out in April 2023. But since April, we are still waiting and Meike has made no lens announcement. And even if Sigma announces RF-S Lens, then undoubtedly they will have, 18-50mm F2.8 and not 17-50 for sure.

UNFOLDING A NEW CHAPTER OF IMAGING X2D 100C

With the Hasselblad X2D 100C Lightweight Portrait Kit, photographers are introduced to a new era of imaging possibilities. At the heart of this extraordinary kit lies the X2D 100C, boasting a remarkable 100-megapixel medium format BSI CMOS sensor. This sensor, combined with the innovative Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS), ensures that skin tones are faithfully reproduced, mirroring the way the human eye perceives them in both RAW and JPG photos. With 16-bit colour depth, photographers have expanded flexibility in post-processing, enabling them to push the boundaries of their creativity.

To capture crisp and steady handheld portraits, the X2D 100C features 5-axis 7-stop in-body image stabilization (IBIS). This versatility allows photographers to explore their creativity even in challenging mixed-lighting scenarios, seamlessly blending artificial flash and natural daylight to achieve stunning portraits.

WIDE-APERTURE PORTRAIT XCD 1,9/80

The XCD 1,9/80 lens excels at creating a mesmerizing bokeh effect, creating graceful and smooth transitions between the sharp areas in focus and the softly blurred periphery. Additionally, when used with the X2D 100C camera, it unlocks the full potential of the 100-megapixel sensor, striking the perfect balance between sharp, in-focus areas and beautifully rendered bokeh.

ENVIRONMENTAL PORTRAITS WITH EFFORTLESS GRACE XCD 4/45P

Complementing the XCD 1,9/80, the XCD 4/45P is an ultra-lightweight and compact medium format autofocus lens is specifically designed for capturing portraits in narrow spaces. With its 36mm equivalency, this lens offers flexibility in composition and enables the inclusion of contextual elements, adding depth and narrative to portrait photography. Despite its compact size and weight[1], the XCD 4/45P boasts an exceptional optical design comprising seven elements in nine groups, including two aspherical elements. The result is state-of-the-art visual performance within compact dimensions, enabling the X2D 100C to capture breathtakingly high-quality imagery.
