Canon may announce two different bodies of Canon 5D Mark III successor, the Canon 5DX and 5DXs, the X model will be dedicated for sports and event photography and the XS model us for Studiographers, one of the test bodies of the Canon 5DX is said to have 28 Megapixel Fullframe sensor, however we don’t know that both the bodies will carry the same sensor or a different one.
The leaked information via dpreview forum completely ads a new dimension to 5D Mark IV rumors, however 28 MP FF sensor inside 5D mark IV bodies is not a new thing, take a look at this post published on April 2015.

The following text was forwarded to us via a anonymous email….
A friend of mine has just been ‘brought’ over to Canon from Nikon and is being considered as a potential tester for the 5DIV
There are multiple MP variants but the two my friend mentioned were 18mp and 24mp, with the former more a field experiment in gauging affect on AF speed, buffer management.
The 24mp seems to be the target though but 8fps seems to be out of the question.
PS, another interesting tidbit is that the 3D tracking in the Nikons are experiencing similar issues to what some 7Dii users have mentioned.
That’s all I know.
P.S. if you doubt my credibility, I can totally understand. But do note that this is my first time I have ever been privvy to a pro on this guy’s level and he is quite an accomplished tog
Same kind of rumor surfaced over the web via Northlight website, take a look at the test below…
There is still a mix between 18 and 24MP. 24MP is the likely final outcome, with the lower MP sensor testing AF speed and buffer management issues (less than 8FPS is the likely shooting speed).
Again a email we have received few hours ago
It’s likely that the 5D Mark IV will be announced in 2015, but shipped in the first or second quarter of 2016. Today I expect that the 24 megapixel sensor prototype hit the market and not the 18 megapixel prototype. The 5D Mark IV get a modified version of the 1DX Mark II AF system and 4K video recording and the timelapse function from the 5DS(r). I guess that a lot of photographers love the upcoming 5D Mark IV.
We are not confirmed that both of us are getting information from same source or a different one, however one thing is very clear that rumors are pointing towards the existence of two different prototypes of Canon 5D Mark IV camera, one version of 5D Mk IV carries a 18 MP Fullframe sensor and the other body have have 24 Mp fullframe sensor, however the source also says that the 24MP camera body is limited to 8fps of burst mode only… at the present moment we have very limited amount of information available, We will update you soon as we get any more information.

According to the latest rumor surfaced over the web, Canon will soon announce a entry level DSLR anytime soon (possibly SL2 on Aug 14th, as rumored earlier), the other part of the article published at CR website talks about the possible specification of the upcoming Canon 1DX Mark II camera, take a look at the major specification
1. All new autofocus system / more AF points than the 61 point based AF of current 1DX camera
2. Advance viewfinder / possibly integration of LED display and optical viewfinder
3. return of the solid red AF point when in AI Servo mode
4. OLED displays unit on top / rear side of the camera
Earlier we have published the Canon 1DX Mark II specification here… the specification also suggest that the camera will have new sensor, advance AF system and new viewfinder, few days ago we have published that Canon 1DX Mark II sensor will have massive dynamic range.

Finally the test score of Canon 5DS and 5DSR published at DXOMARK Lab, the test score of the 5DS camera is the best DXOMARK score ever scored by a Canon DSLR during the test, however the test score of the Canon made sensor still lower than Nikon D810 and Sony A7R…
Take a look at the analysis of the test written by the DXO Mark Lab…
Boasting an unprecedented 50.6Mp resolution, the EOS 5DS and5DS R offer a unique DSLR shooting solution. What’s more, our industry standard tests have shown these are the best sensor results yet for a Canon chip, with the 5DS cameras offering a small step up for image quality against other full-frame semi-pro models such as the EOS 6D and EOS 5D Mark III. Our measurements show that there’s very little difference between the 5DS and 5DS R sensors, but we’ve seen both models post better scores in print results compared to those on screen.
As usual, the best scores are recorded at each sensor’s base ISO setting, and here the 5DS sensors are a little off the pace against the best chips we’ve analyzed (in the Nikon D810 and the Sony A7R). This is particularly true for Dynamic Range, where the Nikon and Sony models boast around a two-stop advantage at base ISO, although the gaps narrows as sensitivity is increased.
With its massive resolution and best results in print, the EOS 5DS and 5DS R are great solutions for photographers shooting at low ISO sensitivities for large scale prints.

We have the latest rumored information via NL that there is expectation that Canon will announce a new camera and two lenses on 14th August, 2015.
However no confirmed information available about the upcoming product yet .We have seen a series of rumors related to lenses & cameras by Canon for few past months which is sufficient to make us think that there is more chance that Canon will offer its latest camera and two lenses for its users who are waiting for long time.
Canon 1DX Mark II, Canon 6D Mark II and Canon 5D Mark IV, these prime machines are waiting for the upgrade, we don’t have any confirmed info at the moment but Canon 1DX Mark II is floating top on the list.
Update
Canon 150D Update is also Overdue
We strongly believe that Canon will bring the new Canon 150D DSLR on Aug 14th, the news we got earlier via a tipster that Canon is ready to announce the Canon 150D camera in September 2015 [see here], now [again] according to Northlight website Canon may announce the 150D on August 2015… So we both websites are getting almost same time-frame for the announcement of world smallest DSLR…
Since all are based on rumor so don’t take it as confirmation. We have to wait and watch for more information related to it.
