 Canon finally announced the long rumored 4k compact camera XC10, the camera will deliver professional 4K quality to aspiring filmmakers and enthusiasts, the XC10 is built with 1” CMOS sensor and Canon’s new DIGIC DV5 image processor, you can also capture 12MP of still images with this sensor..
 The grip of the camera can be rotated … The most important part of the announcement the canon also added newly developed 4K video recording format the XF-AVC to the XC10 camera, so you can enjoy the High bit rate XF-AVC files, great for post production.
The cam can record UHDTV standard (3840 x 2160) 4K footage to an internal CFast 2.0™¹ card at up to 305Mbps, or Full HD (1920 x 1080) footage to an SD card at up to 50Mbps, with pro-standard 4:2:2 colour sampling for high resolution performance.
The camera also features built-in WiFi for wireless file sharing and that will enable remote control of key features via a browser, smartphone or tablet.
The Canon XC10 should be available in mid-June 2015. No word yet on official US pricing, UK pricing around £1,599.99.

 The graph that we have seen today clearly tell us that the smartphone is eating away the digital camera sales market, above all the compact camera sales is almost touching ground, the sales volume of DSLR is also shrinking every year, the Mirrorless system camera market is limited and also we are not able to see any significant improvement in sales record of mirrorless camera compared to previous year.

 According to latest rumors Sony A9 will arrive on April 23, 2015 with newly developed Sony 50 Megapixel fullframe CMOS sensor, the other expected announcement is the Sony RX100 M4 camera and this time we do hope the upcoming RX100 M4 camera will feature 4K video recording and modest upgrade in core specification.

Bit more and more information coming out as the announcement date is coming closer,
The upcoming fixed lens 4K camera from Canon will equipped with with a Canon log (C-log) gamma profile, hence it will preserve or record the most color and luminance data directly from the sensor.
The other feature revealed is the latitude (dynamic range) , the upcoming camera is rumored to feature 10-12 stops of latitude… that’s really look great on paper but we are waiting to see it’s performance against the present day mirrorless and compact 4K camera.

If the specification is correct then the size of the camera will be bigger than the current Canon G16 camera, possibly similar to current Canon G1X Mk II camera or bit less than that, The camera is expected to arrive at the end of Q2 of this year, however at the end… It’s good to see that camera manufactures putting a lot of attention in professional compact camera section.

Canon finally announced the Canon G3X compact camera, the camera features 1 inch sensor and 24-600mm equivalent lens (approx 25X optical zoom), the sensor is same of Canon G7X camera ..by having 20MP resolution, other features include WiFI and built in FC, we will update this article as soon as we get more information.,,
No details about the announcement date is available but we will see a PowerShot G3 X prototype on display at CP+ next week in Yokohama, Japan.

CANON IS DEVELOPING POWERSHOT G3 X PREMIUM COMPACT CAMERA, FEATURING 1.0-inch SENSOR AND 25x OPTICAL ZOOM LENS
MELVILLE, N.Y., February 5, 2015 — Canon U.S.A., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced that its parent company, Canon Inc., is developing a new addition to the Company’s G-series lineup of premium compact cameras—the PowerShot G3 X—and will display a prototype of the camera at CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2015, to be held from February 12th-15th at the PACIFICO YOKOHAMA Exhibition Hall in Yokohama, Japan.
The new PowerShot G3 X, currently under development by Canon Inc., will incorporate a large 1.0-inch sensor and a 24–600mm (35mm film equivalent) 25x optical zoom lens while maintaining a compact size that makes it easy to carry around. The camera will produce images with beautifully blurred backgrounds, made possible by its large sensor, and provide users with a wide range of focal lengths, from wide-angle to telephoto. The addition of the new model will serve to further bolster Canon’s already impressive G-series PowerShot camera lineup.
Introduced in 2000 as a high-end-model lineup, Canon’s G series of PowerShot cameras has played a leading role in the compact camera market thanks to its high-image quality.
