Canon 90D is a clear winner, but at the same time we can use all those EF and EF-S Mount lenses with the help of EF to EF-M adapter.
So, if you are a Hybrid shooter or vlogger than you should go with Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera, since you are getting uncropped 4K Video recording mode with DPAF support.
3. Image quality
About the sensor: specification it is very clear that both camera features same 32 megapixel dual pixel autofocus CMOS sensor. But, we all know that 32 megapixel is a super high resolution for aps-c sensor platform and it would be more better in canon used BSI CMOS technology for the same.

We have to wait to know the actual values of the Dynamic range of both the camera. But as we have from the specs. The Standard ISO range as well as the expandable ISO range of both the camera is exactly the same.
4. DUAL PIXEL CMOS AF
Both camera features DPAF of 3rd generation and eye AF tracking backed by 5k+ AF zones. Canon 90D is a DSLR camera and do carry a 45point Phase AF module with it and its active only when you are using viewfinder.

Canon isn’t using BSI Tech, and due to that we do believe that Camera will have limited low light performance due to super high resolution. However, we will wait for test results and update you soon.

Despite of having the same sensor and digic 8 image processor, Canon 90D DSLR camera limited to 11 FPS with AF whereas Canon EOS M6 Mark II Can shoot upto 14 FPS with AF.

7. Video capabilities
Canon 90D carry inferior 4K video specs compared to Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera. The Canon 90D features 4k Uncropped/Cropped 29.97 fps. At uncropped mode you will have very limited AF support from the camera[more details to be available soon]. Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera features uncropped 4K video mode with full time DPAF support. The recording time limit and recording format of both the camera are same.
From the video spec it’s very clear that Canon 90D do carry some forced limitations, whereas the Canon EOS M6 Mark II is the best choice when you want to shoot videos with it.

If you are still shooter go and buy Canon 90D camera, Canon 90D camera features same sensor and image processor as of EOS M6 Mark II camera but with Canon 90D you will also get extended battery life of 1860 shots. If you are a Hybrid shooter, than 4K video mode of Canon EOS M6 Mark II is better than of Canon 90D. The design of Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera is more compact and easy to carry for a longer period of time.
