In a latest firmware update Canon enabled 24fps option in Canon 90D camera. 24fps frame rate is missing in latest Canon DSLRs and Mirrorless camera including recently announced 90D Camera.
Firmware 1.1.1 adds 24p video in both full HD and 4K in Canon 90D.
Firmware Version 1.1.1 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes:
- The option to capture both 4K and Full HD movies in the frame rate of 23.98p has been newly added
- Fixes an issue where error code “Err 01” may be displayed when using EF 85mm f/1.8 USM or EF 100mm f/2 USM lenses.

Canon to soon announce a new firmware update of the Canon recently announced G7X mark III camera. The recent update will show up two AF modes in the menu. The Mode 2 is the old mode with slow AF and new Mode 1 track face more quickly.

Canon G9X Mark III announcement isn’t near to us, according to rumors we have announcement of the camera was about to happen Feb-March 2020. But, it can be further delayed due to low sales volume of Canon G7X Mark III camera. The announcement timeline of Canon G9X Mark III camera is now shifted to Aug-Sep of 2020.

Canon patent shows they are planning to add two sensors in once camera. And, its not a mirrorless they will keep the mirror inside the camera to reflect some portion of light to secondary sensor. The main intention of the entire setup to maximize the image quality.

The half mirror 103 splits the imaging light beam (subject light beam) that has passed through the imaging optical system 102 into a first light beam and a second light beam. The first image sensor 104 and the second image sensor 105 receive the first light beam and the second light beam, respectively. The first image sensor 104 and the second image sensor 105 are constituted by a CCD image sensor, a CMOS image sensor, or the like. The first image sensor 104 and the second image sensor 105 have an image pickup pixel and a focus detection pixel for autofocus using a phase difference detection method. The MPU 106 includes a CPU and a memory that stores a program executed by the CPU, and functions as a control unit that controls the overall operation of the camera body 101. Further, the MPU 106 controls the driving of the photographing lens 102b via the lens driving motor 108.

We have told you back on Sep 2018 (see here). Finally we have some confirmation from japanese trusted sources that Canon next announcement is Canon EOS Ra camera. Canon EOS Ra is a astrophotography camera using same sensor as we have seen in the Canon EOS R.
Canon EOS Ra Specifications
Canon EOS Ra camera will be more sensitive to infrared light due to a modified low-pass filter. Rest of the core specification of the camera is expected to remain same as of Canon EOS R camera [Amazon.com | B&H] .

On the day of Canon 1DX Mark III camera development announcement, Canon representatives also confirmed that they are working on Canon next Pro FF Mirrorless camera and the upcoming camera will feature in-built body image stabilization and will also carry Dual card slot.

“There’s a high-end EOS R in consideration,” said Canon UK’s product intelligence consultant, David Parry. “So we are considering bringing a high end EOS R to the market. “If we do, it will have dual card slots, it will be that sort of level, and under development is in-body image stabilization. So we are looking at this technology, it is in development with us.” (Digitalcameraworld)
Speaking to Canon UK’s David Parry, Photography Blog was told that the possible new full-frame mirrorless camera for professionals will have dual card slots and in-body image stabilisation, two features that the current range-topping EOS R model does not offer, and which have been very much in-demand from would-be owners. It’s early days and very little is known about the new EOS R camera Canon will make, but in a recent meeting with Canon we were told that the company is looking into developing in-body stabilisation for its next EOS R model.
