Nikon D850 features 47 MP sensor and Expeed 5 image processor. The Nikon D850 is Nikon first DSLR to feature BSI CMOS sensor. The sensor is exclusively designed by Nikon and developed by Sony. The sensor The ISO of the camera can be pushed to ISO 32-102400. The camera features standard ISO range of 64-25600.
Now before we begin to see the High ISO test of the Nikon D850 camera, You must know that Nikon D850 has become the world first FF DSLR camera that scored 100 Marks in DXO lab test. Nikon D850 camera controlling color noise more effectively compared to Sony A7R II ? upto some extent yes, But even at ISO 12800 Nikon D850 shows color bleeding issue. (colors are floating out of the box)
Nikon D850 vs Canon 5D Mark IV
Does Nikon D850 showing exceptionally better result compared to 5D Mark IV ? I don’t think so. The Nikon D850 is marginally better in picking up details due to high-res sensor. Just look at the soft edges of the red color box, Nikon D850 samples look bit more soft and melted compared to Canon.

RED today announced new monstro 8k camera, the camera features full frame sensor and can record 8k videos @ 60 frames per second. The camera features 17+ stops of dynamic range.
The Monstro 8K camera will cost you approc $79,500. Shipping of the camera will start from Q1 of 2018.

“The introduction of the first BSI sensor in a full-frame Nikon DSLR with a super-high 45.7Mp resolution puts the Nikon D850’s image quality on par with, and often better than, medium-format cameras. The first DSLR to hit 100 points — rather apt for Nikon’s hundredth anniversary year — puts the Nikon D850 in a class of its own for image quality. At base ISO, it’s unrivaled for color in the DSLR class, and its headline dynamic range score is outstanding, too. Against the competitor high-resolution options from Sony and Canon, the D850 offers either better or close to comparable image quality throughout the ISO range. Although its headline ISO score doesn’t quite achieve the same lofty heights overall, it’s still a very capable performer at high ISO sensitivities, too. So if you’re looking for the best image quality at low ISOs, at significantly less cost than a digital medium-format camera, the Nikon D850 looks like the camera you’ve been waiting for.”
No other camera (including Medium Format) ever scored 100 points on DXO Mark test. I think they have to raise the bar of numbers when Nikon will bring out Nikon D900.

According to latest rumors, Canon is working on 3 different prototypes of High-end Mirrorless camera. All these prototypes are in development stage and one of them scheduled to arrive on Photokina 2018.
- The first prototype uses Canon native EF Lenses, the information isn’t new and we have received information in past that upcoming Canon Mirrorless may use native EF lenses.
- Canon Second prototype, its a compact fullframe Mirrorless camera that features a new mount.
- About the third prototype, source is saying that its a fullframe mirrorless compact camera with fixed lens. Possibly Sony RX1R competitor ?
