According to latest buzz floating over the web Sony RX100 M4 may arrive in June 2015. That’s look bit true to me since every year on the month of June Sony updates its RX100 series compact camera, So we do have a strong hope that this year also we will see the same trend from Sony.
The other major factor supporting this rumor is the leaked document of wikileaks, according to the document Sony will bring Sony A7R II, Sony A7000 and new compact RX series camera (possibly RX100 M4) this year.
We are getting constant information from various sources that the upcoming camera may pack 4/3 format sensor inside the RX100M 4 by maintaining the same size and shape as of the current RX100 M3 camera….. We also believe that it can be possible since Sony listed 2 new M4/3 sensor in their Product Line up page of US website on April 14th, 2015, so soon or later we are sure use the sensor in upcoming RX series compact camera… either RX100 series or a new one.
So finally we will a 4/3 sensor based compact camera that will capture high quality images and will also record 4K videos , a true competitor of the Panasonic LX100 camera.

According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web the upcoming 6D Mark II camera will going to feature better core specification including new sensor and enhanced connectivity features compared to the predecessor, that doesn’t mean the camera will become a mid-entry level fullframe camera… the camera will remain at entry level position.
The rumor also suggest that the upcoming camera will be light weight, bit pricy and smaller compared to the current 6D camera. The camera will also feature built-in WiFi and NFC + a not specified “new connectivity feature”.
Canon 6D Mark II is expected to arrive on Q1 of 2017 or Q4 of 2016.

Canon latest patent revealed via egami shows a new DSLR camera that uses Canon old Pellicle Mirror technology and Electronic viewfinder.
Take a look at the patent details (translated by egami)
Explanation and self-interpretation of the patent literature
- Patent Publication No. 2015-97352
Published 2015.5.21
Filing date 2013.11.15
- Canon patents
Half mirror and the optical path division by
One of the light beam received by the image pickup device
The other light flux I receive in AF sensor
FPS of the AF sensor, faster than the image pickup device
Pixel area of the AF sensor is larger than the image pickup device
From the AF sensor and the image sensor to obtain an image to be displayed on the EVF or back display

Pellicle Mirror – Back in 1989 Canon introduced first consumer SLR camera Canon EOS RT with Pellicle Mirror, actually the Pellicle mirrors based camera offers some of the advantages over the traditional SLR / DSLR camera, since When you DSLR (Canon, Nikon, Pentax) mirror flips up when you press the shutter button, it allow the light to pass through it to the sensor / flim of the camera, but the biggest problem of the moving mirror that it creates vibration, produces noise, creates a viewfinder blackout for a fraction of second and also limits the Camera burst speed capability.
A Pellicle mirror is actually a translucent film that will remain in fixed place at middle and always reflects some of the light up to the viewfinder and AF sensor, rest of the reaming light goes to the film / sensor.
Advantage – The Major advantage is the fixed mirror tech the camera will get ultimate burst speed, the other major advantage is that doesn’t blackout the viewfinder while shooting at high speed burst mode, due to fixed mirror tech your camera remains vibration and noise free.

Sony SLT System – On Aug 24, 2010 Sony A33 was announced by Sony based on Pellicle mirror technology of Canon, this time Sony was using transparent films instead of mirrors.
Canon next SLT camera ? I do believe Canon will select its entry level series camera to introduce the new technology, earlier they have introduced the first Hybrid AF sensor in Canon T5i / Canon 100D, similarly they will select Canon 150D / SL2 or possibly Canon 800D for the introduction SLT technology (Single-Lens Translucent ) technology and EVF, both the tech will make it more compact and handy.

Recently announced 50mm STM review is posted by photozone website, take a look at the verdict below
The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM is a slight improvement over the old EF 50mm f/1.8 II – more so mechanically rather than optically. Now the old EF 50mm f/1.8 II was already a good lens actually especially when stopped down. The EF 50mm f/1.8 STM has a much higher center sharpness at fully open aperture though. The low contrast in the image borders/corners remains an issue but the resolution is quite decent here. Stopping down to f/2.8 helps to lift the overall quality but the lens really shines between f/4 and f/8 where it doesn’t really get any better than that actually. The low [chromatic aberrations] also contribute to the high sharpness perception at medium aperture settings. Just like its predecessor, it produces a hefty amount of vignetting at fully open aperture. […] Image distortions aren’t completely negligible but still very low. An unfortunate weakness of the lens remains the bokeh.

Take a look at the EORS M3 review posted at ephotozine.com website
As a camera (and if you ignore the lack of native lenses) the Canon EOS M3 deliver high image quality, with good nosie performance up to and including ISO6400, and the camera has siginificantly improved focus performance, making it almost as quick as other mirrorless cameras, and quicker than some. Images have excellent colour and exposure, and look good on the tilting 3 inch touch-screen. For a Canon user with a number of EF lenses, then the EOS M3 would make an excellent companion to another DSLR, letting you use your favourite lenses with a smaller camera body. However, the EOS M3 will look much more apealling, if and when the price comes down to a level more in line with the competition.
