New firmware update for your D4 is just announced, The new update will improve the focus accuracy when using a lens with maximum aperture of F4 and a 2x teleconverter!
Modifications enabled with A firmware Ver. 1.03 / B firmware Ver. 1.02
- Focus accuracy when a lens and teleconverter with a combined maximum aperture of f/8 is used has been increased.

In 2011 Canon won 3 and Nikon 2 TIPA awards, this year Canon won 6 and Nikon 3 only, TIPA award started from 1991 and this year at the TIPA General Assembly 29 member magazines and the Camera Journal Press Club (CJPC) of Japan voted for the best product in each category. The General Assembly selected the best photo and imaging products in 2012 in 40 categories.

dpreview forum member FTH is talking about the rumors published in the French Magazine “chasseur d’images”, however we have no links or images related to the rumor, but “chasseur d’images” is serious and well-known magazine and if the news is correct we may see two new Full Frame DSLR from Nikon very soon.

Almost confirmed – New pro DSLR (1D or 1Ds ) series camera is coming on Oct 18, Canon Singapore is holding a press event on Oct 18 and The Today newspaper in Singapore has a lot of Canon 1D Series advertising according to NL.
From Oct 5, 2011(see here) 1D Mark V announcement date and specification details are coming above the surface, few days ago canon rumor said – new 1D Mark V camera will have a full frame sensor and crazy frame rates
