Keep in mind that this is low-credible rumor, Canon is expected to announce new EOS-M mirrorless camera this December, the old demo units of previous EOS M now recalled by Canon in US and other countries, Canon may announce a brand new EOS M camera anytime soon having advance core specification then the current Canon EOS M and EOS M2 camera (EOS M2 available only in Asia only).
As we know that on December 3rd, 2013 Canon announced EOS M2 camera in Asia only having core specification almost similar to the current EOS M camera, take a look at the comparison here Canon EOS M2 vs Canon EOS M
The upcoming model is said to be a true replacement of Canon existing EOS M camera by having advance core specification and sensor mau be similar to Canon 70D DSLR. The announcement is expected in December 2014 and shipping will start from Jan-Feb 2015
