The controversially-priced Sigma SD1 Review now Posted on Luminous-Landscape website, The comparison part of the review compares the SD1 to the Pentax 645D, Leica M9, Sony Alpha A900 and A55.
What Luminous-Landscape Says about the SD1 camera?
Color Test The SD1 is clearly heavily biased toward a warmth not seen in the other cameras, which are noted here for their similarities rather than their differences. ….
About Price Let’s be frank. The SD1 is ridiculously overpriced. It’s a decent APS-C camera with mid-level built quality; at about the $1,000 level. It has neither the features nor specifications of a Pro camera such as a Nikon D3x or Canon 1Ds MkIII, let alone a 5D MKII or Sony A900.

“We can add the feature, however the hard part is to ensure that the camera operate in a stable manner with that addition. However, this is a high priority for us and we plan to take this on as soon as we finish working through some of the issues that we have pending right now. When and if we actually make this happen is up in the air at this point.”
