Nikon is about to update its existing Nikon Z6 and Z7 Mirrorless camera with some new features as per user demand. Take a look at the major modifications and updates of the upcoming cameras
Nikon Z6s and Z7s Major Update
- Dual EXPEED processor
- Nikon EN-EL15c battery
- USB power
- Dual memory card slots
- 4K 60 video
- Vertical grip with buttons/controls (available as an optional accessory)
The sensor of both the camera will remain, the announcement of Nikon Z6s and Nikon Z7s camera is expected at the end of 2020.

Finally, we have the updated core specification of the Nikon Z5 camera. As per the latest rumors we have expected announcement date of Nikon Z5 camera is 21 July.
Nikon Z5 Core Specification [Rumored]
- The Z5 will have the same EVF as the Z6
- No top panel LCD
- Dual SD UHS-II memory card slots
- 24MP full-frame sensor (not sure BSI or not)
- IBIS
- Magnesium alloy camera body
- 1m dots LCD screen resolution
- New battery: Nikon EN-EL15c
- USB-C camera powering, not just charging
- Same AF system as in the Z6
- 1.7x video crop in 4k, no SloMo option
- 6fps burst
- Official announcement expected in the second half of July (I have conflicting reports on the exact date)
- The camera will start shipping later this year
- slightly smaller than the Z6
- the modes dial is moved to where the top LCD screen is on the Z6/Z7
- the price around $1,400 with the Nikkor Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 kit lens.

Wow, finally an affordable entry-level full-frame camera Nikon Z5 coming on July 21, 2020. We already have the initial set of leaked specs of the camera and it does look very interesting.

According to the latest rumors we are getting from rumor mills, Nikon Z5 doesn’t have EVF on top save the manufacturing cost of the camera. Although, the information isn’t coming from trusted sources.
The Nikon Z5 is said to be affordable version of the Nikon Z6 camera, with almost the same core specification that we have seen inside the camera and an affordable price tag to reach more market share.

Nikon registered two new cameras at the Russian wireless certification agency, the model codes of these two cameras are N1929 and N1932. As usual, we have told you earlier also, generally, once the camera gets registered a camera company takes 1 to 3 months to make the official.

On April 2020, Nikon also registered the N1933 camera. During the test at the Indonesian wireless certification agency, the camera was using the NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Lens we generally get with the Nikon Z50 DX-Format Mirrorless camera. So, its a clear indication that Nikon N1933 is a APS-C Format Mirrorless camera (Nikon Z30). And in past we have received strong hints that Nikon will be releasing Nikon Z30 camera on the month of August 2020 is everything goes on schedule.

Nikon Z8 and Nikon Z5
Nikon Z8 and Nikon Z5 is also rumored to arrive this year, Nikon Z5 will have almost same core specs we have seen in the Nikon Z6 camera with an affordable price tag to reach wider consumer range. In the past, we have received hints that Nikon Z8 will use Sony made 60 MP sensors, however no further information available about this camera.

On 12th May 2020 Nikon just issued this statement regarding the recognition of extraordinary losses. Now, according to the latest news coming our from Nikki Japan Nikon axed off 700 workers due to declining camera business aka worldwide economic depression.
Due to the declining camera business – 500 in Thailand and 200 in Laos Nikon staff lost their jobs. And in the near future, they may cut more jobs if worldwide economic depression continues.
Nikon Corporation announced on the 28th that it has reduced the total number of employees by 700 at its Southeast Asian factory as part of a structural reform of its imaging business centered on digital cameras. Staged from autumn 2019 to the end of March due to early retirement. The number of people is 500 in Thailand and 200 in Laos, which is about 10% of the employees at each site.
