The new Z mount S lenses are video-centric, they are dead silent when u use them for video purpose. When you pair Nikon DSLR Lenses with FTZ adapter the lenses make noise, which is irritating for most of the casual video makers, those who not use a dedicated external microphone unit with the camera.
New AF Algorithm Under Development For DSLR Lenses in Video Mode
As per the latest information surfaced over the web, New AF Algorithm will slightly slow down the AF speed of the AF-S Lenses when paired with FTZ adapter. It may not affect the overall AF performance but it will reduce AF noise when Camera will be using internal Microphones in video mode.
We will update you more on this if we get any information
