Our source was 100% correct, and just after this, we received another confirmation that they will be delivering the EPIC series 1.33x anamorphic cine lenses for Canon’s full-frame RF mount. These include the compact 35mm T2.0, 50mm T2.0, and 75mm T2.0 models, designed for widescreen storytelling with a 2x squeeze factor, high resolution, and color matching to legacy Kowa glass. I think Sony has made a great move by upscaling their camera and removing the locks by asking for money. The ZV-E10 Mark II camera was always capable of capturing 4K 120 fps videos as well as Full HD 240 fps, but again, they had to protect the A6700 camera sales also, and at that time, back in 2024, the ZV-E10 Mark II core specification was more than enough for competitors.
And now, after this update, again, it has been upgraded and has become one of the best content-creator cameras at its price range. Canon and Nikon still have to think about creating a perfect competitor against it. And that’s maybe the reason that Sony found this solution of updating the firmware more efficient than announcing a Mark III camera body in the next 2 to 3 months.

This will allow handling or accommodating beefier setups like the RED Komodo 6K or Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro with full lens rigs.
