That’s a weird rumor, the Fuji TX-2 successor will arrive sometime in 2028. So, that’s the roadmap being set by Fuji after the massive success of the Fuji X-100 VI camera. They plan to introduce a more compact body with a large APS-C sensor.
Fuji TX-2 was a Fujifilm TX-2 rangefinder film camera, the original TX-2 was compatible with high-quality Fujifilm TX and Hasselblad XPan lenses. Now fuji is planning to introduce a digital version of the same.
A new source has told me that Fujifilm is currently considering releasing a digital successor to the Xpan/TX series that debuted in the late 90s. If the camera gets the final green light, it will be released in 2028. The reason for releasing it in 2028 is that 2028 will be the 30th anniversary of the 65×24 panoramic film camera TX-1, which was released in 1998.
The TX-1 was jointly developed by Fujifilm and Hasselblad, and was sold by Hasselblad under the name XPan. Its successors, the TX-2 and XPanII, were released in 2003.

The specifications of the Fuji X-T50 camera have been leaked, and we now have confirmation that the upcoming camera will have the same 40-megapixel sensor that we have seen in the Fuji X-T5 camera. If you don’t remember, we had already mentioned on March 21st, 2024, that the X-T50 would arrive with a 40 MP sensor.

As we have said earlier too, the Fuji X-T50 has become the most affordable or budget APS-C camera with a 40-megapixel high-resolution sensor.
An additional advantage we are getting with the Fuji X-T50 camera is the presence of in-body image stabilization (IBIS). However, IBIS mechanism is less effective than the Fuji X-T5.

According to the latest rumors, an image of the Fuji XT50 camera has been leaked and, the upcoming Fuji XT50 camera will significantly improve video core specifications.
From the information we have right now, it looks like the Fuji XT50 camera is coming with the same 26 MP sensor but with an advanced image processor. This will lead to a significant improvement in the core video specifications of the camera.
Latest Information related to Fuji upcoming announcement from our Chinese friends
Mr. Ma (source) obtained the core specifications of the X-T50 camera and felt that it had made significant improvements compared to the X-T30 II, especially in terms of video recording capabilities. However, it is expected to be some time before the official release.
Fuji’s next new camera is expected to be the GFX100S II medium format camera, which is scheduled to be released on May 16th. It is unclear whether the GFX500mm F5.6 medium format lens will be released at the same time.

According to the latest famous we have Fuji X-T50 camera is coming along with the Fuji XF 16-50 mm f 2.8 to 4.8 lens. The specification of the camera is not known yet, but we would love to see 40MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR BSI Sensor, as usual, Fuji removed IBIS, and for sure it will cut down a lot of other features (like the ability to record 6.2K 30p 4:2:2 10-Bit Video) from the camera despite of having the same image sensor and image processor to protect up the sales of the Fuji X-T5 camera.
If Fuji X-T50 arrives with a vari-angle display screen for sure, then no scope left for the Fuji X-S30 or Fuji X-S50 aka psam model dial based cameras. So, Fuji X-T50 announcement will decide the future of other cameras too.

According to the latest rumors from the rumor mill, the Fuji XT50 camera is set to arrive next from Fuji. There will be no Fuji X T40, instead of that, they will directly announce the Fuji X T50. Also, Since the Fuji X T5 camera is already available, it no longer makes sense to introduce a Fuji XT40.
As for the camera’s specifications, the Fuji XT 50 will likely become the most affordable APS-C camera with a 40-megapixel 5th generation X-Trans sensor, the same as of the Fuji X-T5.

Finally, Fuji X100 VI cameras visited the Photons Photo Lab. We now have the camera’s dynamic range (DR) test score. Let’s look at how the latest Fuji X100 VI camera has scored and how it compares against the previous generation of Fuji X100 V cameras.

So, as you can see the Dynamic range test score of the Fuji X-100 VI camera looks slightly better than the Fuji X100 V camera. At the same time due to lower sensors the low-light performance of the Fuji x-100 V camera is better compared to the latest X 100 VI.
The other major advantage you will notice is not visible in the chart, which is the major resolution difference between the two cameras.
