Canon is rumored to announce new EOS M5 mirrorless camera just before the photokina event according to the latest information coming over the surface.
Now let’s talk about the specification of the upcoming camera
Sensor 24MP The camera is rumored to feature a 24 megapixel CMOS sensor, at the moment we don’t know which type of sensor is actually coming, will have a dual-pixel or Hybrid CMOS AF Technology inside. Since both camera features almost same 24 MP resolution, either the Canon EOS M5 is coming with Canon 750D/760D sensor or it’s coming with Canon 80D Sensor.The technology used inside both the camera sensors are entirely different. Canon 760D uses Hybrid AF III sensor whereas the Canon 80D uses Dual-pixel CMOS AF system.
Built-in Viewfinder The next feature we expect to see in the upcoming EOS M5 camera is built-in electronic viewfinder, previous generation of all camera doesn’t have EVF.
New Auto Focusing system, The AF system is the most important part of a Mirrorless camera since they don’t have any external Phase AF module as of DSLRs. We hope this time canon should implement a Dual-pixel CMOS AF system.
Design of the camera is expected to be more retro, similar to Olympus E-M series cameras.

Every Dual pixel image is generated by combining the images of A and B photo sites, Now Canon 5D Mark IV captures the entire data under the name of Dual-pixel RAW file. In that file we have data of A and B photodiode and also any parallax information associated with them, which can be measured and subject distance information extrapolated. Due to enormous amount of information the size of the Dual-pixel RAW files is 2x more compared to the normal files RAW files.
As we have said earlier Signal from Each Photodiode along with lens drive data is also recorded, that allows a photographer to fine-tune AF and Bokeh after the shot.
Things to consider a get a perfect shot in Dual-pixel RAW mode
Use lens over 50mm focal length
Aperture value lower than F5.6
ISO value lower than ISO 1600

‘As you can see the DPRAW files of Canon 5D Mark IV camera give options to shift AF slightly, upto 2 to 3 words only. It’s not like a light-filed camera that allow you to select AF points after the shot, as we have said already it only allow you to fine-tune it.

Canon finally announced the Canon 5D Mark IV camera, the camera features 30.4 MP Dual Pixel CMOS fullframe sensor as rumored earlier. The camera is capable to capture 4K videos at 30frames per second, continuous shooting speed of 7 fps, the camera comes with a 61 AF points with expanded vertical coverage with 41 cross-points. Canon 5D Mark IV is powered by Dual Digic 6+ image processor. New features in the camera include Dual-Pixel RAW and first Canon 5D series DSLR to feature built-in WiFi and NFC connectivity.
