Arrival on June/July 2022
Stay tuned with TNC, We will post more updates as soon we get leaked images and specifications of the Canon R7 Camera.
Is the Canon R7 Camera coming with a Redesigned 32.5MP Sensor?
Since the sensor sitting inside the Canon 90D isn’t capable to create oversampled 4k files at 60frames per second or it can neither shoot 30fps burst without crop. So, either we will be getting 4k 60fps HQ mode with a slight crop and 4k 60fps FullSensor Readout mode with Pixel binning Algo (And the same crop applies to 30fps burst mode too). And if they implemented a Brand new sensor with faster readout speed, then yes it’s possible and the above-mentioned specs are very perfect and true.
Did canon discontinue the M6 Mark II Camera? According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web Canon has discontinued the Canon M6 Mark II camera. As we all know Canon is about the introduce the Canon R7 camera at the end of 2022. So, in an effort to cannibalize the EF-M mount, they have started doing their homework as we have expected a while ago.
So, if R7 is coming in 2022 under the RF Mount, then we can also expect the introduction of the Rebel series inside the RF-Mount for entry-level. users.
According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web, Canon is preparing to announce a new range of APS-C Mirrorless camera systems with RF Mount (to regain the concept of the 1 Mount ) and the APS-C lenses will arrive under the RF-S Mount brand bane.
1. Canon R7 and RF-S Mount Lens
According to the latest rumors coming out from the rumor mill, the Canon R7 camera is coming this year along with new RF-S Mount lenses. At this time no detailed information is available but RF-S 18-45mm F4-5.6 lens could be Canon one of the first RF-S Mount Lenses made for Canon APS-C Cameras.
The biggest problem right now is the lens compatibility between the E-FM mount and RF mount. Due to the Flange distance issue, none of the systems are compatible with each other even with the help of adaptors.
2. What will happen to the EF-M mount then?
But even if the rumor is true then what will happen to the existing canon APS-C Mirrorless camera lineup the E-FM mount?
As we all know canon lost its versatility with the announcement of Canon RF Mount Mirrorless cameras, to-regain the concept of 1-Mount they have to announce an RF Mount base APS-C-based Mirrorless camera system.
So possibly after the cannibalization of Canon DSLR or EF / EF-S Mount, the next cannibalization will be done with EF-M Mount.
