Finally, rumored specification of Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera surfaced over the web. According to rumor mill the Canon EOS M6 camera exhibited to some selected dealers ahead of official announcement.

If the rumors are true, pretty cool. That would be the largest APS-C chip, and it would be nice to see Canon deliver sensors on par with Sony, rather than perpetually be 2-3 generations behind. That’s even more critical given that other companies, like Pansonic/TowerJazz and Nikon (with Sony as a fab) are keeping up with Sony’s in-house designs, if not necessarily surpassing them.
And while I know that folks in the USA like to laugh at the EOS M, that’s actually the system Canon’s selling in Asia. That’s what put Canon on top in Japan’s mirrorless market. If you’re interested in APS-C, you’re probably better off with EOS M than EF-S, simply because you’re getting lenses designed for APS-C. Maybe not Fujfilm-class lenses, but still. The very best FF glass on an APS-C body is only going to deliver average quality.
