According to latest rumors surfaced over the web, Canon is working on two different series of Fullframe mirrorless cameras, first they will announce High-End Mirrorless camera on Sep 2018 and after making 6 to 7 months of gap from pro mirrorless announcement they will introduce a new lower tier series camera to reach out more people. That clearly indicates the second (affordable) FF mirrorless announcement will happen in 2019 for sure.
Same strategy is being followed by Fuji and Sony, After Sony A9 ($4498 amazon.com) was announced back on April 2017 and once the sales number are reached to a certain point Sony introduced Sony A7 III ($1998 Amazon.com) camera on Feb 2018 with almost same core specs as of Sony A9 (Same sensor and same AF system) and all those with a price less than $2500 compared to Sony A9 flagship camera.
One more important thing that Source mentioned is “a really nice solution for EF lenses on the full frame mirrorless body” . That also silently confirms, no native EF Mount based Fullframe Mirrorless camera is coming.

I really don’t understand this term “affordable”. Everything is affordable if you have the money.
Affordable means, having price range similar to Sony A7III.
I have just gathered money to buy the Sony A7 camera which is available under $1K with kit lens..
I love the fact that this is the same rumor i read about ff canon and Nikon before a7r was released. that was summer 2013. im glad i didnt wait.
