According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web Canon thinking on the possibilities of Canon 1D series camera with a 50MP FF Sensor (Canon 1DXs ?) , but the most important factor is the sales volume of 5DS/R will decide that Canon should introduce a high-end version of 5DS/R on the current market or not.
The camera that we do also expect arrive on 2015 is Canon 4K camera (GH4 competitor), Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 150D and Canon 1300D.

A prototype is out for testing. But it’s not clear if Canon is ready to invent such a camera.
We pros want a real successor of the 1Ds Mark III. I like to see the 5 layer multilayer sensor version on the market. A prototype exit and works very fine.
For professional use the 5Ds(r) don’t make sense, because the shutter cycle is only 150.000 shot (that’s really a joke, the replaced shutter of my 350D hold min. 400.000 shots, the old shutter reach almost 1,7 million shots) and the power consumption is too high. We need a bigger battery for more shots. A stupid battery grip is not the solution.
The new Canon 4K camera is really a joke. It looks like a cheap piece of plastic. I can’t see a GH4 competitior. Only Jackie Chang look good beside the camera.
After this release I am sure, that we don’t see 4K video recording in the next 5D version (maybe called Mark IV or X).
The new camera has a 1″ CMOS Sensor, External Viewfinder, 58mm filter, Built-in Wi-Fi and a 10X optical zoom 8.9-89mm f/2.8-5.6 fixed lens (35mm = 24-240mm).
A fixed lens? What the hell is Canon doing?
