As of September 2026, the DJI Mini 5 Pro is still leading the Amazon USA sales charts, but what about the Mini 6 Pro?  The current compact flagship is still the Mini 5 Pro, launched 17 September 2025.

The Mini 5 Pro already changed the under-250g class with a 1-inch sensor, forward LiDAR, and Nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing. So the obvious next question is simple:

Over the past few weeks, we have been getting a lot of queries about the Mini 6 Pro, and September has arrived, so the number of queries is getting much higher. So, we have decided to post an update that will clarify the situation and the arrival time of the Mini 6 Pro.

What follows is not a leak. It is DJI’s own Mini Pro cadence, plus the price band that rumours and last-gen pricing make realistic.

Before we discuss anything further, let’s put our focus on the DJI Mini 6 Pro arrival date. And the Update pattern of the Mini PRO series

DJI Mini 6 Pro Arrival date

DJI does not refresh the Mini Pro line every year.

Mini 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro both landed in late September. That is DJI’s usual Mini Pro window.

The Mini 5 Pro is only about a year old. A successor this autumn would be a one-year turn. That is faster than the last gap.

Most consistent window: September 2027

That repeats the two-year Mini 4 Pro → Mini 5 Pro gap and keeps the September slot.

Earliest window that still fits internally: early 2027
That would match the shorter 16-month Mini 3 Pro → Mini 4 Pro gap.

DJI already used 2026’s lightweight slot on Lito 1 and Lito X1 in April. IFA Berlin in early September 2026 showed the existing Mini 5 Pro, not a new Mini Pro.

So the honest date line is: not announced, not due this month, most likely autumn 2027, earliest plausible early 2027.

DJI Mini 6 Pro Price

There is no Mini 6 Pro MSRP. Anchor on Mini 5 Pro, then apply the rumor premium.

Mini 5 Pro launched around €799 / £679, with a widely cited US-equivalent band near $759. Fly More and screen-controller bundles cost more. By late 2026 some marketplace listings had the current kit discounted into the high $600s.

Early Mini 6 Pro rumor videos often quoted:

• $999–$1,099 for a standard kit
• Fly More / RC bundles from about $1,129 up to $1,699–$1,899 on the high end

Those are estimates. DJI’s habit is more conservative: hold the headline Mini Pro price close to the last generation, and take margin in the combo.

A realistic planning range:

If the next model is mostly a refined Mini 5 Pro, expect pricing near today’s flagship. If it really adds a stacked 1-inch sensor, variable aperture, and a new radio, about $999 for the base kit is the rumor figure that makes the most sense.

US street price is a separate issue. Newer DJI products have faced limited official US availability, and a 25% tariff on imported consumer drones took effect 3 September 2026. A global $999 sticker can become materially higher — or unofficial — in the US.

Should you wait?

Wait if you do not need a drone for another year and you specifically want the next sensor or radio generation. And if ur in the US, as we know, the Mini 6 Pro won’t get FCC certification due to the Ban issue. So, Get your Mini 5 Pro asap.   Mini 5 Pro already has the 1-inch camera and LiDAR. On DJI’s clock, it still has a normal year left as the Mini Pro flagship.
