It’s look like Olympus is already created the clone of Sony QX series camera, the camera prototype shown in the image is developed by Olympus Hack and Make Project, take a look at the detailed specification below…
The smartlens features 16 megapixel sensor M4/3 sensor inside, however we don’t know that the Smart lens mount features a PDAF sensor or a contrast based sensor, RAW and JPEG formats available and WiFi connectivity allows users to share images and videos seamlessly.
We don’t know the expected announcement date of the product but we may see some signs on CES 2015.

The long rumored Sony QX1 finally announced by Sony, The E-mount smart lens module is called – Sony Alpha QX1 and the compact smartlens QX30 is also announced along with QX1. The Sony Alpha QX1 features 20MP APS-C sensor and a E-mount that grabs all the E-mount lens that, a BIONZ X processor, and the QX1 also supports RAW files.

The Sony QX30 features 20.4MP 1/2.3-inch sensor packed with a 30X optical f/3.5-6.3 zoom lens and features sensor shift image stabilization, the QX30 also supports continuous shooting upto 10 seconds and also records FULL HD Videos.
The QX1 will be available in November for $399.99, and the QX30 will be available in October for $349.99.

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 3, 2014 – Building on its strong history of innovation in the digital imaging market, Sony Electronics has today announced two additions to their unique line of Lens-style Camera.
Designed for mobile photography enthusiasts, the new high-zoom DSC-QX30 and E-mount interchangeable-lens ILCE-QX1 models combine the power of a premium compact digital camera with the convenience and connectivity of today’s smartphones, utilizing Wi-Fi® connectivity to instantly transform a connected phone into an extremely powerful photographic tool.
The new cameras utilize the latest version of Sony’s PlayMemories Mobile™ application (version 5.0 for Android and iOS devices) to connect wirelessly to a smartphone quicker than ever, converting the bright, large LCD screen of the phone into a real-time viewfinder with the ability to frame shots, adjust zoom, release the camera shutter, start/stop video recordings and control other basic camera settings. The QX30 lens spotted at the Korea Radio Research Laboratory, the QX1 and QX30 is rumored to announce on the same day – Sep, 3 2014.
Finally it’s look like Sony international websites are also preparing for QX1 launch on Sep 3, as you can see from the snapshot above, A page of Sony international (sonymobile.com) website with title Sony QX1 is surfaced at google search result, however it’s URL and the page contains information about the QX100 lens .. it’s also possible that page caption is just a typo error by a Sony staff.

Yes same as Sony kodak also announced smart lenses and a 65X megazoom camera at CES show (see here), both smart lenses / camera will feature WiFi to communicate with the smart device. The affordable smart lens SL10 packed with 10X zoom lens and cost is approx $199, the high-end SL25 lens packed with 25X optical zoom and cost is approx $299.
The SL series lens will become available from Spring 2014.

We already published images, specification and price of QX100 and QX10 Smart Shot Lenses, Today Japanese weblog Digicame-info also confirmed the same info –> that QX10 has the same 1/2,3 inch 18 megapixel CMOS sensor and f/3,3-5.9 lens as the Sony WX150 compact camera and QX100 features same Lens and Sensor of Sony RX100 M2 Camera.
1. QX100 and QX10 can be connected with any Android and iOS based Smartphone via WiFi and NFC.
2. Image can be stored directly in Smartphone vai WiFi or in Lens Memory.
3. You can shoot it with your hand, attached in a Tripod or with Smartphone.
4. The QX10 record HD at 30fps, MP4 format. QX100 records Full HD Videos in 1080/30p, MP4 format. Can be recorded with low noise even in dark places.
5. Price of QX100 is approx $450 and Price of QX10 is $250.

Sony QX10 and QX100 User Manual Images Surfaced over the web, the confirmed announcement date is September 4 2013, Sony QX10 will feature 10X optical zoom with 1/2.3-inch sensor other lens / QX100 will feature same core specification as RX100 M2.
